VR is here! The revolution is here and it looks fascinating. Can VR replace how we play video games today? Hard to say.

The other day I had the privilege to trying out the Oculus. It was amazing. I've been thinking, what current games would look and feel phenomenal on VR?
Obviously Pokemon would look amazing. Remember how we were able to zoom in and out of the characters in the Smash Bros. franchise? I can envision myself actually having a closer and in depth look in VR. The possibilities are endless.

Imagine playing Yu-Gi-Oh? Duels would finally feel like the anime.

What are your thoughts? Have you tried VR? What games do you think would benefit being in the VR world?

I've always loved the idea of virtual reality.
And the thought of having really, proper duels like they got in the Yu-Gi-Oh anime? Well that would be the cherry on top. Maybe magic the gathering :)

I bet once augmented reality gets more high tech we'll get it. Or at least get something like it. I hope we actually get it though.

I remember when I was first watching youtube videos about the augmented reality that the only thing I could think of was dueling!

I tried one of the development versions of Oculus and... nah, still feels did not feel like total immersion. In your brain, you still know you are looking at the projected game with weird glasses =D
But I haven't tried the production one so it may be better.

In any case, the only VR I may be investing into is PS VR as I don't want to pay 600 or 800 bucks for a piece of hardware that would require 1000 bucks high end PC.
So no, generation 1 is too experimental for me to get VR.

To OP. I hardly think Nintendo would participate in VR. And if they don't personally, their IPs have no chance of being available on VR.

I'm so in and in favor of VR-tech advancements in arcade games. I remember how some rail shooters would integrate more person-based body movements to help make the action even more immersive then just cocking and pumping those plastic guns.

VR Brutal Doom: Project Brutality would probably be the thing that would help a lot of out-of-shape individuals suddenly lose 40lbs of Body fat and grow 100lbs of lean muscle, and help everyone become chiseled, rock solid, manly (and womanly) gamers. I mean just imagine being able to create your own first person POV glory kills/fatalities on some unfortunate virtual enemies. HUHRUHRUHURHURHURHUHR. I wouldn't mind screaming "RIP AND TEAR! RIP AND TEAR YOUR GUTS!" at the arcade while a bunch of people are spectating the gore-tastic action I'm getting myself into, and leaving the arcade cabinet all pumped up and sweaty, drinking some of my gatorade and telling people to play some glorious VR Supermurder
