Hello All,
Yesterday when I was checking my ISPs site, I discovered to my horror that I had only MB Bandwidth left on my Broadband account and Im also low on money currently(I always am.)I am trying my best to browse the net a lot but at the same time consume less Bytes. I have disabled most of the images, pop-ups, etc. I would like some tips from you computer gurus on how to use my Broadband wisely, conservatively and judiciously.
Please give me some tips and ideas.

Kthxbi

I suggest getting a new ISP. What kind of an ISP limits you on the bandwidth you're allowed to download?
If you can't, I suggest getting Firefox extension "Web Developer Toolbar." Then clicking Disable, and disable images, image animation, java. I also suggest finding a way to disable Flash.

Turn off sigs when you browse PC too. Some of them are over 500KB! *winces* Which is why I'm campaigning for a limit. ^^;

Hmm..My guy is quite cheap and currently my mom feels that we should stick with the current limited scheme as I'm in 10th grade and she wants me to concentrate on bigger things.

Kip-Kip, I have done all those. Completely Disabled - Images, Pop-Ups. Animation and also splash. I have deleted the plugins for Firefox. MS IE uses different plugins.

JA, I have disabled Sigs, Avatars and Pics in all forums I visit.

Anything that's limited really isn't going to be cheap. It's far better to go with a plan that's shaped (speed slowed once you hit a certain data limit) rather than to get one with excess usage.

Pardon me JA, but please convey the message you posted in another format.

Oh. OK, some plans will drop your speed when you hit the download limit, usually to about dialup speed. Some plans just make you pay more. You should get the ones that drop the speed because that way you don't have to pay extra.
