So what is the best most effective way to hatch eggs? I've heard that if you travel over a certain speed (km/ph) on a train or bus for example it won't count towards egg being hatched. Does anyone know whats the maximum speed we can travel whilst eggs are still being hatched? Hope that makes sense, thanks in advance!

I've seen lots of people hatching eggs while riding on bikes, I think that's the fastest vehicle that most egg hatchers can successfully use.

An adventure begins, traveling from the vast lands into the deep seas, chasing into the heart of the tropics, where the plants are vibrant and the beasts are fantastic. We will find each other there, chasing the fleeting dreams of a land full of beauty and potential."

I don't have the game yet since I don't have a smartphone (gonna get one in maybe two weeks) so I don't really know much about the mechanics yet. But I saw this article on NintendoLife that should give you a bit of insight into this topic with some weird tricks.

Not going over 10mph (around 16 kmhr) is the safest bet. I hear people say they bike at speeds averaging 11-12mph that make little to no progress with hatching their eggs. I always walk so I don't notice, but definitely try not to go over that if you're on a bike.

I find that being in a car won't make any real progress on the eggs bus for some reason being on a bus usually will. It may be that the busses around here are notoriously slow or something but it's useful for getting some easy hatches on the way to town.

Ugh... I probably shouldn't say this but... what the heck. Some players are strapping a harness onto their dogs and then putting their phones into the harness after turning off the sleep mode. The dog runs around all day while their at work and hatches the egg for them. I feel like that's cheating though. XD OK! This is the fifth post I've done! Back to club mystic to see about my excel file. :)

Walking or biking are your best bet I think. I also get some mileage on my eggs when on my daily commute as the bus slows down during heavy traffic and at stops but that's just bits and pieces, its a side benefit since during the commute in the morning and night is when I get a lot of my playing in as I live in the back of beyond.

Yeah, I've heard of people strapping their phones to their dogs, attaching them to turntables, etc. Someone even made a thread here about using a ceiling fan to hatch Pokémon.

So long as the GPS detects movement, and as long as it's under 20mph, it apparently works! Haha
