Do you mean in terms of power usage? It really does depend. It doesn't use that much, but it depends on what system you have. If you want to save power, turn off the monitor or put it into sleep mode, if you're not using it - or just turn it off. It won't use so much power if it's relatively inactive, either.

It depends on the components in it, especially the monitor. When you got the computer, you should have got manuals for it, and if you look at them you'll see a power rating in the information table.

Where do you locate the information on my computer's configuration? It's windows XP.
Well, you bought your computer, didn't you? Sorry to say, but you should atleast have an idea of it.

Right Click My Computer and click Properties. See what processor your PC has and how much RAM. Also when you switch on your computer, the first screen will tell you how much hertz does your processor have.

However, as said Monitors use maximum Power, so be careful.

If it's a Celeron, it shouldn't use up as much as a Pentium, but something clocked at that speed is going to use quite a bit of power nevertheless. However, computers don't use up anywhere near as much as most appliances. We need your exact monitor model.
