Hi,
I have iPhone 5s and my son too.
On my son iPhone pokemon go show all routes. But on mine not.
Here is photo from my son phone:

And here is from mine phone:

When we walking on these tracks, on son phone it looks good. On mine it looks like i always walk on grass.

Someone have any ideas? Why? And what different can be here?

Thanks.

It probably doesn't make a huge difference in the gameplay, it's just the way the maps are being pulled and displayed for you both in real-time. GO is essentially just a game painted over Google Maps. As long as you're both loading the same Pokéstops and Gyms, it should be fine. Maybe your phone is just cacheing the maps differently.

If it does prove to be a problem, just restart the app, and maybe try having Google Maps run in the background. Some people have found that to be helpful when calibrating the GPS GO uses.

Hope you and your son are having fun!

The reason your's isn't working it because the map hasn't loaded in that chunk of land yet - if you restart the game or give it some time to catch up then it'll load properly for you. It's usually due to bad internet connection or the servers not picking you up properly when you enter a new area of land but it's easily fixed if you reload the game :)
