There was a park in town that I got several Jynx from, but I haven't been back there since the update so I don't know if it will still spawn them. I would like if it would change to something else since there are still some Pokemon I haven't even seen in the wild.
Really, though, I don't think it's fair to have nests in the first place. It gives an unfair advantage to whoever lives near them. I'd rather they did away with nests in the first place.
Interesting! Personally, I like the nest concept a lot. I think it encourages Poketourism, of a sort. Encourages a person to visit different parts of their area entirely, or entirely new areas and cities! I suppose you're right, of course, that a person living near a nest ends up with an advantage for gaining that particular type of Pokemon... but... it's only
that type.
I'm not sure what nests are. This is the first I've heard of them. Before the update Pokemon would usually spawn one at a time and they would be random. Not really the same Pokémon in the same spot. Moreso the same Pokémon, aka Rattata, Pidgey, Venonat, but randomly wherever.
Do nests usually spawn more then 2 of the same Pokémon at a time? Before the update I didn't have more then 2 Pokémon spawn in one location at a time.
A specific area may be accurately called a "nest" if it regularly spawns a certain type through multiple spawn points in the same general area. It doesn't mean two spawning at the same time, necessarily, though that does happen. It just means that if you look at your nearby radar you'll probably see three "Eevees" at any given time if it's a nest. Or within an hour you'll see that occur a few times.
Simply put, it's an area with a higher concentration of one type than other areas.
