Sorry, My mom haven't thought me to make curry or any of her delicious recipes yet. T.T mostly cause I was never interested, but now I'm starting to get interested into cooking. Even enjoy chopping up vegetables and peppers to add flavor. Only thing I can make is some Fried chicken, Fries, and Fried eggs xD

What happened with the lava cakes that didn't make them work out? Were they cooked through or did they break/lose their structure?

Those s'more cups look soooo good. If you want to try more baking, what I like to do is try a different type of recipe when I have a chance. For example, I'll do cookies one weekend, cupcakes another, then pie.

You'll get to try a lot of different baking techniques and see which you like the most :)

If you're into cookies, (here) is this new recipe I found and really enjoy. It may require a quick trip to the grocery store, though, as some of the ingredients aren't commonly found in cookies (IE: oreo cookies, milk powder). I had them over the weekend and they tasted great, and it was just as simple as making the batter and putting it onto an oven tray.

yeah I cook for myself all the time

my new thing has been lettuce wraps because I'm trying to eat good and they're so easy to make. The other day I made thai beef lettuce wraps and they came out awesome. They've been my dinner at work for the week. :)

Honestly I like to make anything especially desserts

I don't cook often at all but when I do it's usually cakes and stuff like Apple Shortbread which was nice.

My idea of making food is like making a salad or a sandwich. 90% of the food I make doesn't really involve "cooking" exactly. The only real exceptions are things like eggs and making curry, but those aren't that complicated. Just turn the heat on and throw stuff into a pot or pan and don't burn it.

I mostly just cook simple things for dinners out of necessity, I mean things that are mostly like "take a meat and put some sauce on it and then add a side of some sort". Nothing too big. I think the most convoluted thing I've made in a while was like...chicken and dumplings, lol.

And then I think the pinnacle of my baking career is just making chocolate chip cookies. :( Although the reason I don't bake much isn't because I can't, it's because I have a small kitchen and the counters tend to be occupied by things and I usually can't be bothered to make room in order to make stuff ...

(Though I can't remember any of them off the top of my head, I know there have been several recipes I've come across that I'd love to try, if only I had the motivation and space to work on them.)

I'm unemployed, and I save a ton of money cooking healthy and delicious meals for myself. With alcohol taken out of account (I suck lolol), my food bill is under $100/month. My secret is investing in sauces and spices so the same ingredients never get old (rice, chicken, bacon, beans, carrots, cheese, milk, etc) and looking out for sales on fruits and vegetables. For example, yesterday I made a giant pot of palak paneer with spinach, paneer (lots of people of Indian descent live in my area so Costco sells actual paneer in giant blocks), chickpeas, carrots, butter, milk, and spices that'll last me a few days.

Honestly, I've found that instant and fast foods with the exception of like cup noodles are actually more expensive and way less healthy for you.....
