Who else here likes TimeSplitters 2? I have it on PS2 and think it's awesome. I seriously can't get enough of it. I know it's old, and I've had it almost a year, but the game seriously rocks and I can't wait to get number 3. :bandit:

Timesplitters 2 was really cool - i rented it for the gamecube and basically only played the bot mode - i really had fun with one hit kill. i think it had a great arena mode, but the 1player mode could've had a deeper story. other than that, good game.

TimeSplitters 3 is great, but they absolutely ruined the co-op mode. The game doesn't follow the same sort of "mission" structure as TS2. It's all pretty-much on-the-rails (probably due to EA's influence), so it's not like you and your partner can split objectives to finish the mission early, because every objective is given to you when you reach certain point.

The worst part though, is that when you or player 2 reaches certain parts of the level, the player who's furthest behind will "warp" to where the first player is. It's really annoying, and almost akin to a glitch.

Other than that, though, the single-player story mode is much, much better. The only thing that really lets it down is the weapon selecting, which is done using the d-pad and can't be changed (so you have to stand still when selecting a new gun) and up on the d-pad changes your weapon to secondary fire (so no more firing with the Soviet and quickly pumping out a grenade inbetween).

Looks like they've been taking little bits out of Halo's Co-op mode.

I love TS2, the multiplayer is just so much fun. I especially loved throwing timed mines everywhere and waiting for someone to get near and then just set them off for at least one kill, more if I'm a bit lucky.
