Planning on going multi with a friend at the battle tree (For the 50 streak battle stance) so first off:

I need some suggestions for a good pokemon that uses moves like Reflect, light screen, safeguard, etc.

And second I need a good pokemon that can put some decent hits out while also supporting my partner whether it be buffs, status heal, or things like helping hand.

Any and all suggestions please~

You may want to find out what it is exactly your friend is going to use so you can synergize better with them.

Klefki gets all those moves you mentioned plus it has Prankster and a decent defensive type.

Klefki does indeed seem the standard for the screen role these days so I will slap it on th top of my list.

Got any rough suggestions for support pokemon? Pokemon that use moves like helping hand or aromatherapy?

Clefable and Chansey are pretty standard for clerics. But unfortunately I'm not that well versed in doubles so I'm not sure what else to suggest, especially for Helping Hand 'mons. =(

I'd definitely recommend that each of you runs a mega. Charizard Y/Kangaskhan, Salamence/Metagross and Kangaskhan/Gengar are all good options that want fairly similar team mates.

If you wanna do the ultimate friend strat multi team, check out this new Ribombee gal:

Typing is Bug/Fairy, death to fighting types. Obviously deals with a lot of strong stuff very well, in both resistances and offensively. It gets good dual stabs too - for nice coverage.

It's one of the few new things that's pretty dang fast - and it gets quiver dance if you feel like having a setup option.

The big team-support thing though - its signature move, pollen puff? It's a 90 base power special bug attack, but it's not just bug buzz. You can hit an opponent, OR when you target your ally, it'll heal them instead. Couple that with Ribombee's speed, and you have some multi battle options.

It has a support movepool besides that too, but that move gives it a support and attack option, so - really neat. It also gets Draining Kiss which'll give it its own healing and a fairy attack option, even if it's low base power.

As Nah said above though; a lot will depend on what your friend is running. If it doesn't synergize well, there may be better options.

I imagine this would be great on the early phases of the Battle Tree, but surely there will be something on the super/later battles that can rock slide Ribombee. And in my experience, it doesn't take those. From anything.

Just sayin.

It probably won't be taking rock slides comfortably, but if there's screen action it may; and with 124 base speed - it's definitely outspeeding anything that's not aerodactyl on the punch there. Plus, it's not going to be alone here, between a teammate and a backup to switch out of, I don't think one prominent double battle move should keep it from being handy. Or if it's already been led with or quiver danced, dude 95 sp atk with a +1 pollen puff? It could outspeed and OHKO some sheet.

Mine isn't properly bred or natured, so it's not what its bulk could be even without investments, but I do believe with the doubles reduction in power rock slide won't always be a OHKO. And again, really - teammates. If you felt like running it, intimidate or screens if you REALLY wanted to prepare for rock slide specifically.

Said some things here. All productive, but a little lengthy and highly contextual. In my opinion, Ribombee is high risk for little reward. That does not mean it is not fun or worth trying. Read if you will.

Spoiler:
As someone who's been religiously laddering for VGC 2017 I can say that it's far too heavily threatened by a number of common things to make the splash you desire, at least in the current state of things. Consider:

Tapu Bulu's Stone Edge and Rock Slide
Anything from Nihilego
Garchomp's Rock Slide
AV Mudsdale's Heavy Slam
Celesteela. Just gonna leave that there.
Kartana's Smart Strike
Torkoal's Eruption following an After You from Lilligant (something for the OP to try btw), or in Trick Room.
Trick Room.
Aerodactyl's Rock Slide (130 Base Speed sir)
Arcanine
Alolan Marowak
Scarf Krookodile's Rock Slide

Less popular but just as threatening:

Salazzle
Gengar
Lycanrock
Gigalith
Wishiwashi
Alolan Sandslash
Alolan Golem

tl;dr - I think Ribombee can be used in this setting - it's battle tree yo. And it's got viability.

That's a massive threatlist, just off the tippy top. Seems like a high risk/low reward Pokemon, however fun it may be.
Ohhhh boy here we go, you've changed skyberries.

I'm not saying "Ribombee VGC; Ribombee OU; new meta new meta" - the thread is asking for suggestions for a multi team for battle tree; I'm offering a solid and fun mon that has lots of team play viability and interactivity between players doing a cooperative multi run in battle tree.

Are the Ultra Beasts all that common in the multi battle tree? Does the Muddsdale you see in battle tree have an assault vest? Is there even a krookodile in battle tree, and is it really running Scarf? I see you've also disregarded my correctly noting that -
with 124 base speed - it's definitely outspeeding anything that's not aerodactyl on the punch there.
and furthermore, if you consult the OP -

I'm responding to that, and while I am most excited to hear of your VGC success, and consequently extensive knowledge on the newly formed meta, I quite frankly am not quite sure that we're responding to the same thing here my friend.

(Still love you Skyberries <3 I missed you bae)

I have little confidence in a pokemon that I have OHKOd throughout the game but it's definitely worth trying.
