Groudon does bring up something that I agree with, and its that Nintailes fails. Before you give me a hard time, let me explain.

HP - Decent. But only when its maxed out...

Atk - Poor, but not usesable.

Def - Decent. But only when its maxed out...

Speed - Awesome!

S.Atk - Decent. But only when maxed out with nature.

S.Def - Awesome!

Amen. Arcanine may have special moves like ES, but that doesn't mean that Ninetails is usless. Any pokemon can be strong if you raise it to be, and Ninetails does have decent stats that could make it quite powerful, if used right.

umm Bleep, why are you defending jumpman? Everyone has an opinion and they can post it.

Besides I do agree with the fact that ninetails can not pull off much
someone please post a moveset that would work for it, on net battle.

~Overheat/Flamethrower
~HP: grass <-- too bad it can't OHKO swampert
~Confuse Ray/Grudge

Grudge is the opnly thing I have seen ninetail be good for. It has the speed to use grudge right before something with earthquake obliterates it. Quite nice if it is a CB'er since your can send in dugtrio next and destroy the creature whilst it struggles.

Other then that the set is lol and could be pulled of better by other fire pokemon

Too bad my opinion is correct.

Ninetales seriously fails at everything. IT CANT DO ANYTHING. pyrotrapping/shuffling is destroyed pretty easily, and it can't sweep well. >_>

I think the only way a move gets to be exclusive IHO is if it's Doom Desire or Psycho Boost >.>

I'm sorry, but thats the lamest thing you could say here. This isn't the TV show, this is the game and if you havn't noticed there are certain Pokemon that fall into the UU and NU group, because there movepools/stats/type(s) arn't good. Ninetails has all three of these problems, limited moves, bad stats, its a fire type (possibly the worst type).

Bleep: Yes, Jump is good, I'm not saying he isn't. Its just that hes getting too carried away. Thank you for saying that in a calm manner =).

o boy, a whopping 5 out of how many...368 or sumtin? yeah, thats kinda exclusive in my book. and i'm not "stupid jesus", whatever the hell that means, i know ES is a physical attack, you're the dumbass who couldn't even tell what i meant by special.

Yeah Spike, quite powerful might have been the wrong words, but i can't see ninetails being NU - maybe very UU, but not NU. Its certainly not the greatest, but not the weakest fire type, so i'm sure someone has one. And i meant by any pokemon can be good if you raise it is that it can be usable (maybe in some rare cases not so), and may not be the best, but if you like it you could find some way to make it work (i like oddish, but hate its evolutions, and i have found a semi-decent way to make it work, even against my friends who are competitive battlers and one of which who used to be good on netbattle before his computer broke).

Hey I'm not Nintails hater or anything, I had one on Silver for GB, gave it C-Ray, Fire Spin, Toxic and FT. In RS its not that good because of 510 Evs, so it either hanging on by a threat at BL (because of Wow) or right up at the top of UU. In game its a good Pokemon, but online you will need a team to back it up.

i'd say arcanine. ES is an awesome move, and his stats are pretty good. his movepool is not big, but who cares, you only get 4 move slots anyway and he's got the exclusive ES. that's 3 slots left for a not-so-small movepool, and quite frankly that's enough

i still use charizard as my fire pokemon though cuz i'm into sentimental stuff like that. but if i didn't care about using my favorite pokes and don't mind just using OU's with movesets that other ppl have created, then i'd use arcanine for sure. :P

:\ i never said anything abuot his opinion or yours, i was just saying that he's an insane netattler, so he does know what he is talking about. maybe its a little extreme repeating it, but he is good and he does have bragging rights.

i didn't mean any harm :(

I realize he's good but, the fact that he is good shouldn't determine your decisions.

"Oh well Jumpman's favorite pokemon is Ninetails, so I guess it has to be better than everything else"

Yeah Arcy > Ninetales. Arcanine has much better base stats iirc and has useful stuff like Extremespeed (You want non-legend exclusive? Try Meteor Mash lol.). ES isnt there to take advantage of an attack stat, it is there for all the subrevvers and flailers out there, and when you need to pop off other weak pokemon. You can always put Howl on it if you really want. >_>
