OK! This is the first time I'm doing any kind of New Year's Resolution, but it's also quite serious.
My resolution is, or well, more like, are...
Get a new job that actually fits my education and skills
My current job is just a regular desk job of which I don't really find the drive in... it's kind of like working a job you shouldn't really be working. And the pay is dreadful, but I guess I'm working because I have to. It's temporary, though.
Sounds pretty simple, right? But we haven't got to the fun part yet. You see, as it's really tough as a Computer Science degree holder to get a job with long-term prospects in Malaysia or Singapore...
Get settled in a foreign country
This probably comes in hand with the above. No biggie, really, but hey, there's this...
Move to the United States of America
Wait, whaaaaaaaaaaat?
Yes, I know the timing is bad and all, what with all the recent happenings, but... I've been talking with a lot of friends, high-school and primary-school classmates, and online buds, and they all arrived to the conclusion that I'm far better off elsewhere. (OK, the United Kingdom might work, too - then again, same deal. Depends on what kind of jobs I eventually get into.)
I just hope that, I get all the help I can, and with any luck, I'll eventually make my way all the way to a job, a career that I actually want to be in, in addition to having a much better quality of life.
