I'm thinking January or maybe even February, Andrew. The demand's a lot greater than Nintendo expected. =/

And the Nintendo.com forums suck. Majorly. XD

And in case you guys haven't heard, Wii Play has been delayed until Feb. 12th in North America. Sucks, but I guess that makes my decision on whether to get Warioware or WP in January easier. XD

I was told by my GAME store that unless people have paid pre orders already that they wont be getting any until February at the earliest in the UK.

From what I played of Wii Play, nobody should've been debating whether to get that or WarioWare, it should be an easy pick for WarioWare every time. XD

Here we go again with this "Andrew" business. XD

I don't go on the Nintendo forums often, but I was just bored. =P

The trial version of Opera for Wii will be released this Friday. The real version will come out in March and will be a free download until June...almost makes me wish I had a Wii. Wait, it does!

At first I thought Robo was talking to me with the "Andrew" part up there. XD

Oh my God, Andy, you're like a man possessed when it comes to this. XD I've never seen you so passionate about something (bar the Wii, obviously XD) in all the time that I've known you XD
It's the Wii, and I'm a Wii fanboy. So yea. XD
But on top of that, it's clear to see that GC doesn't like the Wii. I mean most of their reviews are a total 180 on many things. To me, if they can't review Wii games with an open mind and review it fair then they shouldn't be reviewing Wii games.

I'm afraid to show Andy my reviews of TP. XD
You better be! XD

Meh, I just think that to some people, there will never be anything that can ever top OoT. So therefore, no matter if the game really is better than OoT, they'll never admit it. Not that I'm saying TP is better...I haven't really decided yet myself. XD

And yes, Fatboy Gerstmann sucks. We all know this. XD
That's true, and that was one of the fears I had before reviews for TP came in. I mean OoT is such a great game that people have in their mind "No Zelda game can beat OoT" and they walk into the TP review thinking "Blah, it's not as good as OoT" where it might just be better (I haven't played TP all the way so I don't know which is better).

Mork, it'd be a sin for me to give any Zelda game anything below a 7.

As a game I gave it 9.3/10. But as a Zelda game I gave it 8.4/10.

You can see the full review at my LJ. Beware of spoilers

TP dissapointed me, yes. But it was still a great game and shouldn't be banished to the realm between dimensions at all.
I'll take your game score, seeing how I'm not a Zelda fanboy, I'm a gamer so I'm happy with your game score. XD
I'd read your reviews, but I fear it might blow a few things. XD

(...Am I allowed to post here? I'm not sure how groups work)

*stalk* That entry was public? o_o I didn't even notice! But yay, my review of your review is there. :x I more or less agree with it, though you should have made your gamer review less fluffy. XD; I still think it's the best game on the Wii right now.
Yea you can post here Abby, I'm not going to prevent a Wii (well Nintendo) owner from posting in here. XD

It is most likely the best game on Wii, considering the flood of children games the console was launched with. >>;
ExTruck and RS are worth it, too but they don't overcome Zelda, in my opinion.
Well, the Wii might have quite a few kiddie games on it. But at the same time you got games like DBZ, Splinter Cell, Red Steel, Call of Duty, Marvel, TP and others.
Not that I'm say any other Wii game beats out TP, because TP is the best. XD

TP wasn't that great, MM owned it.
I had fun time with it, though.

One fact, Pokemon Battle Revolution, once again, sucks.
But I didn't expect much coming from GS anyway. XD
Just look at videos I posted.
I'll post more videos later.
I say wait to see if it "sucks". I mean you can't say "The game sucks" because of vids.

*slaps self in face*

http://www.joystiq.com/2006/12/14/sonys-newest-motion-sensing-patent/

What do you guys think of that?

Also, do you guys think I'd be able to get my hands on a Wii around mid-January? I mean without waking up really early when a new shipment comes in.
I remember reading something on that (or something like it) a few weeks back. No shocker, because Sony loves to take Nintendo ideas.

If you mean "I'm going to walk into a store today and buy a Wii" then I think it'll be a good long time before that happens. Here it is a month after the launch of the Wii and people are still lining up for one.
http://gonintendo.com/?p=10546
That was Sunday...
If it was me, then I'd bet on maybe March or April on a safe bet on walking in and getting one. I'm not saying you will have to wait that long. But I know it'll be sometime before we see Wiis in stock everywhere.

Well, I woke up this morning and looked over at my Wii and it was flashing blue. So I checked my messages and I had a message from Nintendo saying that the Forecast Channel was up today. So I'm downloading the update now.
I thought it was you sending me a message (seeing how I sent you one yesterday). XD

But yea, it's pretty good. Better then I thought it'd be, but still I'm not going to use it all that much for my weather stuff.

And in case you guys haven't heard, Wii Play has been delayed until Feb. 12th in North America. Sucks, but I guess that makes my decision on whether to get Warioware or WP in January easier. XD
I think it sucks. To me I think why they're pushing it back is because of one thing, the Wiimote. They can pump the discs out of there at the speed of light (ok not really XD), but the Wiimotes on the other hand is not only in short supply but also takes longer to make. So I think it's just Nintendo giving themselves more room to make more.

But it comes with the free Wiimote, Dawson. So essentially the game's only $10. XD
I'm still betting my money on Wii Play with the Wiimote costing $60, but that's just me.

Oh, and speaking of the Forecast Channel
http://gonintendo.com/?p=10679
OMG Sweet! I don't have Madden, but wow... what a way to use the channel. I was hoping they'd do something like that with the Forecast Channel and they did. Way to go Nintendo.

They pushed it back? Really? ;; I was looking forward to having it for the next LAN party in January. Sigh. I guess there will still be WW, so I should grab that and take it. XD;

This is absolutely brilliant. o_o I didn't even think of something like that! That's a really great example of how Nintendo is giving developers all kinds of new APIs to work with. That really makes me want Wifi all the more. ;;

¬¬ my Wii keeps screwing up its connection with my router its getting annoying, it'll connect one day, but not the next O.o
My computer did have to format it self recently, so maybe thats got something to do with it.
That doesn't sound good. Did the router work before (as in if you got a Wi-Fi DS game did it work with it)?

Animal Crossing would definitely be another good use, yeah. I'm sure it won't be just limited to weather, either! They could have events and giveaways in games, and I could see a rare Pokemon hopping from Wii to Wii or something, too.

Did you already talk about the straps thing? It really annoys me. :\ I can't believe what a big deal everyone is making out of it. I don't think it's too flimsy at all, and if people are being stupid enough to break it I don't see why Nintendo should be responsible. They did issue those thicker bands, which I intend to get, but last I read, someone is going to file a class-action lawsuit against them. o_o I think it's ridiculous. Nintendo knew that they might slip out of people's hands, and that's why the wrist strap was added. They took the necessary precautions.

And since the Wii is online, I don't see why Nintendo can't set up some events (big battles) where everyone can go online and battle and go up the ranking board (even if Nintendo didn't do it, I think it'd be good to have something like that on PC). Who knows what Nintendo can do down the road.

Yea, but no reason to not bring it up again (since we go all over with Nintendo things). XD
What bugs me the most is people blaming the Wii. Sure the straps should have been stronger, but at the same time they shouldn't be needed (or like in Triffy's case where he tripped and the strap prevented the Wiimote from hitting something). I mean after all it is still a controller, and it should be treated as one. Not treated as a tennis racket or a bowling ball.
And it's also stupid for people suing Nintendo for their own probs. I mean if I drop a 360 on my foot do I blame MS for making their system too heavy? It's just crazy what someone can get sued over...

I totally forgot about this. X_X

I liked the Fighting Game video. XD; I was surprised too~ I really enjoy DBZ, even though I expected it to be pretty bad. I normally don't like fighting games, anyways. but they did a really good job making the controls work for the Wii! It's so much easier to understand.

All in all, I like those results. Especially GotY. I was a little nervous to check the spoiler, but, again, I'm happy.

I would love if Animal Crossing Wii implemented something like that. It'd be boring as heck this year though. We have no snow! T_T;

I can't imagine how the News Channel could be used in a game though. o.o

I requested the thicker strap. I don't think I really need it, but...it's Nintendo and it's free (well, for me, not for them), so I'll treat it like a collector's item. XD

...there are those people who spill coffee on themselves and then blame McDonald's for making the coffee too hot. O_o

Back to Animal Crossing. I have huge expectations for that. Wild World disappointed me, it felt so stripped down compared to the GCN version (why can't I do chores whenever I want? That's all I did in the GCN on. And I have less pattern space. T_T; And the holiday changes were annoying). I really don't want them to use the Miis in it (I think the Sims is going to). Animal Crossing already has a unique look that appeals to everyone, they don't need to simplify it more. But, it would be great to have accurate weather.

I think that the Miis work better for the minigame/party games, really. They can store your stats, can't they? If so, it makes sense for them to be used primarily for that. Speaking of which, is there any news on a Mario Party yet?

(Another public entry! And one where Erica teases me. D: )

As a game I gave it 9.3/10. But as a Zelda game I gave it 8.4/10.

You can see the full review at my LJ. Beware of spoilers

TP dissapointed me, yes. But it was still a great game and shouldn't be banished to the realm between dimensions at all.
Whoah, old post I know XD

Both your reviews are mostly objective opinion so there's no argument in that, good reviews Oh and the only part I don't really agree on that's not objective opinion is the part where you said that you're Midna's sidekick and you help her instead of the other way around. I think that they both help each other quite a lot.

Spoiler:
Yes, you do help her save the Twilight Realm but at the same time you're saving your own realm. I think she really does help you a lot and not just near the end, she is the one who warps you everywhere and she also transforms you between a wolf and a human whenever you want, after the game really gets going, it's not because of her specific powers but she is able to use that 'other' power, using her own, to transform you. I would call that help but maybe not everyone agrees with me.

Anyways, I'm too lazy to write full reviews of games but I will say what I felt about the game. I also did something to help me figure out if this is indeed the best Zelda ever, I went back and past all of them again. Well, not really but I did go back and pass TWW, MM, and OoT. Crazy, I know, but it was the only way. So anyways, I went back and played OoT, MM, TWW, and TP so I can accurately compare them all and figure out which one is the best with absolutely no nostalgia or fanboyism. My list goes TP, MM, OoT, TWW. That's what I came up with after playing them all again and deciding which ones I enjoyed more without any nostalgia towards a certain game because I know of a lot of people who still worship the first 3-D Zelda game they played because of the simple matter that it was their first. If you don’t believe me then ask yourself this, what if MM had come before OoT? I have no idea if that's a fitting list but that's just what I thought. Here are my reasons for my list. TP was an awesome game, one of the best out there, OoT was also awesome but I think TP is the better game without a doubt after playing them both at around the same time. God bless OoT for setting the foundation of 3-D Zelda games because without OoT I don't know what we would have now but I think MM took that foundation and strengthened it and so did TP. Even though neither MM or TP revolutionized the LoZ series I do think they improved upon an already revolutionized (thanks to OoT) series. I played OoT right after TP for a reason and that was to make a direct comparison and TP is, definitely, for me, the better game. So then I played TWW, awesome game and beautiful graphics but it fell below OoT for me, I’ll get back to TWW after all of this because after I played all of them I came to another surprising conclusion. So next up was MM, it had a dark story comparable to TP and I thought that it had the better dungeons of all the Zelda games. I fell in love with MM all over again, the masks and the cycles were awesome and the gameplay elements were great. So after playing MM I couldn’t decide if TP was better or if MM was better. So I put the other two in order and then I came to the top spot, who would it be, MM or TP? It was a tough decision and I was leaning towards declaring a tie but I decided to call TP the winner. This game was just too good and that's basically it. Anyways, those are my thoughts, didn’t really go into detail but then again that would be too much. Heck, the list itself would have been enough but I just started ranting. Oh and the whole Wind Waker thing was that after I played all of them, even though I don’t consider it the best I think that TWW was the most enjoyable, it has to do with the cel-shaded graphics, they just look good and make everything colorful and the facial expressions are hilarious and they seriously add another element to the game, if only the game itself was a little better. I could get more specific on why I thought TP was the best but then that would be too much typing. XD

Anyways, I need a break.

Well...I beat TP. And I cried at the ending. And the final boss fight was the best boss fight ever. And yes, I'm fairly sure TP just slightly beats out OoT as my favorite Zelda game (shut up, Triffy XD). I won't spoil anything though~

I'm typing this from my Wii. This is taking way too long so I'll edit it on the computer.

EDIT:
For some reason it won't let you type XD either. It changes it to Xd. >>

Anyway, my list probably goes TP > OoT > TWW > MM for 3D Zeldas. MM is the only one I never beat, because I just couldn't stand the time system. I might go back and try to pick it up again and see if I can get into it, since you guys seem to like it so much. XD
Plus I'd be able to say that I beat all the 3D Zelda games.

This is getting really, really annoying. I've had to move my wii to the TV in the office for reasons, and the connection between my Wii and my router has stopped working again.
I tried testing the connection a couple times nothing, so I tried to set up the connection on the second one, and It doesn't even find my router. It can't be a distance problem, unless being in the same room or too close stops it from working.
I've tried the offical site's guide and thats not helped, I don't have a WEP key or any security on my router. My Ds will connect to it fine.
Can anyone help?
