Ultra Moon Psychic Monotype - Update #2

Spoiler:
After beating Hala, I brought Syrup back and got its happiness up to get it to become a Pikachu at Level 13 for both Nasty Plot and Electro Ball. After doing the extra stuff, I was in Akala Island. I immediately used the Name Rater to nickname Kadabra Saike, and met with Lillie, then bought three TMs at the PMC. Then it was time for Sina. Syrup's Electro Ball somehow did less than half even with +2, so I had to have Palau finish that off. At least it was faster than Glaceon and able to do over 1/3 with Air Cutter before it finished me. And she was still faster than Reverse even after she boosted my Speed with Icy Wind. Then she outsmarted me and used Quick Attack against Virtual's Disable. And yet, even with that, Icy Wind still couldn't 2HKO me from the health I was at, but neither could my Brick Break. Pinky finished it. Then I explored the Hano Grand Resort, and beat the trainers on Route 4, some of which were a little strong.

I soon arrived in Paniola Town. Hau was tough, but we made it through him. Then we explored Paniola Town for ourselves. At the ranch, we got Stoutland for our Ride Pager. I got through the trainers, then while I was on my way back to Heahea City for the ferry, I caught an Eevee that I forgot to nickname, and it had a Timid nature, so I decided to keep it. I went through Ten Carat Hill to get the Flyinium Z, and got the Eevee's happiness up to evolve it into an Espeon. Then we met with Gladion, who challenged us. He wasn't overly tough, but can we not have foes waking up after one turn all the damn time.

Before getting to the trial, I traded Saike to get him to become an Alakazam. Once we were at the trial, we got through the prior stuff and a few trainers before we made way to Totem Araquanid. It survived Palau's Z-Move, and then Air Cutter with 1 HP, and thanks to Tailwind, it ran through Palau, Reverse and Syrup before the Tailwind petered out. Saike finished off Araquanid even after it used Leech Life, and then I managed to finish off Masquerain shortly after. So I got the Waterium Z and was in much better shape. After meeting with the Ultra Recon Squad and bested their Poipole, I also dealt with the other trainers on Route 6 and entered the Battle Royal Dome, where I won by besting Hau's Dartrix with the Z-Move. But I couldn't turn Palau into a Psychic-type just yet because it wasn't daytime.

So I went through Wela Volcano Park and beat the trainers there, and eventually made my way to Kiawe's trial. Pinky handled the first two opponents thanks to Hydro Vortex on base of Water Pulse (which I used 4 BP to get eight levels early) dealing significant damage, but the Magmar scored a critical hit Feint Attack to do one point under half, and he was just about finished by the time we got to Marowak, who immediately finished off Pinky with Hex. As I brought in Espeon, it called upon Salazzle, which I immediately gunned for with Psybeam and OHKO'd. Marowak used Flame Wheel for 3/4 my health, though! Psybeam did okay, around 1/4, before he finished me. I used Reverse, who survived a Flame Wheel in the red and used Topsy-Turvy to half its Speed on the dot. Foul Play got him low, but Cursed Body activated, not that it mattered, because he finished me. I brought in Syrup and finished him with Electro Ball thanks to Topsy-Turvy and the Magnet for the win.

Once I was on Route 8, I met with Colress, and beat a bunch of trainers. And before I got to the trial, I went back to Heahea City and nicknamed Espeon after I forgot to before, naming it Tablet. In the trial, the Sudowoodo KO'd Pinky, and the Comfey dealt 1/3 of Palau's health. Long story short, I wiped, even with the opponent lowered to -3 Attack. The Kecleon finished me off just after I finished off Lurantis, since I only had Reverse left.

The second try, only a Fomantis came, and I OHKO'd it with Air Cutter. For Lurantis, I took an X-Scissor for less than 1/3 before I used Feather Dance, and then Kecleon came about. After X-Scissor left me right near half, I then used Feather Dance on Kecleon as well - good timing, because it used Screech. I then switched in Syrup, as Lurantis used X-Scissor for less than 1/3, but Static activated. Kecleon used Dizzy Punch for the same amount, but I got confused and still managed to get in a Charm to get Lurantis to -4, and it got fully paralyzed, only for Kecleon to use Sunny Day. I then used it on Kecleon, so they were both at -4, and Lurantis used Solar Blade and finished me off. I brought in Reverse, and X-Scissor did a little over half before I managed to use Hypnosis on Kecleon. I brought in Saike, and Lurantis used X-Scissor for enough for a 4HKO while Kecleon snoozed. Psybeam did okay, and even confused the opponent, and it hit itself in confusion. Kecleon snoozed again before the sunlight faded. I then switched in Pinky as Lurantis snapped out of confusion and used Solar Blade, which did a little less than half. And Kecleon woke up and used a weak Dizzy Punch. Lurantis got fully paralyzed, but Kecleon used Sunny Day before I used Disable and disabled Solar Blade. Lurantis got paralyzed once again before Kecleon used Ancient Power for 1/3 my remaining health. I got the Quick Claw and used Water Pulse in the hopes of getting confusion on Lurantis, but no dice. I was ganged up on and finished before Kecleon fell asleep. I brought in Palau and used the Z-Move, Supersonic Skystrike, on Lurantis, which finished it. As Kecleon snoozed, it took a moderate hit from Air Cutter, and was almost finished when it woke up and used Ancient Power, but I still finished it off.

So I got the Grassium Z and had completed the last trial of Akala Island. With that, Kukui invited me to come to the Dimensional Research Lab. There I learned some stuff about Ultra Wormholes, and then saw one in the sky. I went through Diglett's Tunnel and arrived in Konikoni City.

Single/Ultimate/Free Mode?: Ultimate

Spoiler:
So, here is my first full update. My Ultra Sun Mono Dark run is going fairly well. There have been a few fights that I have struggled, but nothing a little extra leveling couldn't fix.

Melemele Island: The entire island went very smoothly EXCEPT for Hala. I wasn't quite prepared for his fighting types.

Akala Island: Once again, for the most part the island went painlessly, the only exception being the Totem Marowak, it took several tries and a little bit of level grinding in the Wela Volcano Park.

Ula'Ula Island: Hokulani Observatory was pretty easy for me. Unfortunately Totem Mimikyu took me to town a couple of times at the Abandoned Supermarket. Between it's Play Rough, and ally pokemon, it shredded through my team a few times. I am currently just inside of Po Town, about to take down Team Skull here.

Ultra Moon Psychic Monotype - Update #3

Spoiler:
After I arrived in Konikoni City, I did some side stuff and was informed to go to the Ruins of Life. I beat some (annoying) trainers at Memorial Hill, and after two easy trainers at Akala Outskirts (one Wishiwashi got unlucky), it was time for Plumeria. Syrup managed to 3HKO her Golbat with Shock Wave thanks to Pinky putting her to sleep, and Static. Salandit was OHKO'd with Palau's Z-Move. I got to the Ruins of Life, and Lillie healed me before we met with Olivia. I managed to win first try. To give you the gist of it, I had to rely on Palau's Feather Dance to cut down Anorith, then Pinky used Yawn to stall for a bit of time so Tablet could 2HKO it. Lycanroc was brought below half with Reverse's Foul Play after OHKO'ing Syrup with the Z-Move, and then finished off with Tablet's Psybeam. For Lileep, I readied a Future Sight, and even with Psybeam not doing that much and Giga Drain healing some of her health (although it was a 3HKO from a little over half), Future Sight took care of her and ended the battle.

At the Aether Foundation, I didn't kill Nihilego before it fled, but I did get the TM for Psychic, which is awesome. For the battle against Hau, it was not easy. His Tauros was stupid and used Pursuit against Reverse, who was almost dead, allowing me to get a nice chunk of his health with Foul Play and allow Saike to finish it after taking big from Pursuit. But yeah, the battle sucked. I went back to get the Pikanium Z, and teach Volt Tackle to Syrup. Then we went through Malie Garden and met with the professor. Then I went to the library with Lillie, met with Acerola, and after schooling a guy with his Grimer, I got a Twisted Spoon, which is sure to be a help. Then I beat some trainers on Route 10, and upon beating that last Team Skull grunt, Reverse evolved into a Malamar. And with that, I took the bus up to Mount Hokulani. While there, I managed to score a Modest Elgyem with Synchronize, and a Beldum thanks to Roto Catch. I dealt with the trainers on the mountain, but that Veteran with the two Dark-types sucked. I wiped to him first time, I thought I gave the Expert Belt to Tablet for Signal Beam, but I didn't, and I failed to OHKO the Absol and he finished me. Second try, the Persian literally OHKO'd 2/3 my team before Metang only lived because of the Eviolite, and Tablet was thankfully able to finish off that with Signal Beam, and then OHKO the Absol, because I did remember the Expert Belt this time.

With that, I made my way to the observatory, where Molayne was awaiting me. After I found all the Charjabug and went through their process of repair, we came to the Totem! I began with Reverse, and it used Spiky Shield to block my Topsy-Turvy, and then called upon a Skarmory. It used Iron Head for 1/3, but no flinch, allowing me to use Topsy-Turvy and turn its +2 Defense into -2, then Skarmory used Stealth Rock. Togedemaru used Spiky Shield, but I predicted that and used Hypnosis on Skarmory. It missed with Iron Head because of my Lax Incense, then took half from Foul Play, but the Sitrus Berry propped it up, and Skarmory woke up first turn and used Torment. The routine was the same - Spiky Shield, Hypnosis on Skarmory. Iron Head did slightly under 1/3, and Foul Play did decently, but then it flinched me with Zing-Zap. I brought in Palau, who was hit with Stealth Rock and then died to Zing-Zap. Oh, and Skarmory woke up. I brought in Metang, and Zing-Zap did 1/4 while Skarmory used Torment, and I flinched. Then it flinched me with Zing-Zap AGAIN and Skarmory scored a critical hit Steel Wing!!! Then they finished me. I brought in Saike and finished that thing with Psychic despite being not very effective. Then Skarmory used Tailwind, and Steel Wing did like EXACTLY half my remaining health, while Psychic did over half with a critical hit. It used Torment as I got in a Recover. After another Steel Wing, I finished it with another Psychic for the win.

So I got the Electrium Z and the round was complete. And I was given the Professor's Mask. As I returned to the Malie Garden, we met with our boy Guzma, and after some big talk, he challenged us. I led with Palau against Golisopod, and switched Syrup into…a Sucker Punch? I then used the Z-Move, Catastropika, which did 3/4 and forced him out to Masquerain, who got off an Intimidate. I decided to sack Saike off to a Bug Buzz, which was an OHKO. I brought in Metang, who even with the Eviolite took over half from Bug Buzz, and Rock Tomb did around 2/3. I switched Palau into a Bug Buzz for 3/4, and Air Cutter thankfully finished him. Then we had Golisopod again, and I switched in Reverse, who was indeed slammed by First Impression. I brought in Syrup and finished him with Electro Ball.

After Guzma had his freak attack, Lillie and Acerola showed up, and I was informed of the next trial site! I beat some trainers and got Hapu to add a cool horse to my Ride Pager. Once I was on Route 13, I got to the PMC at Tapu Village and healed my team. I then proceeded to catch a Bruxish, Level 21 but it had Strong Jaw, and in the process I did find one that was Level 37, but it missed out on Aqua Jet and had Dazzling instead of Strong Jaw, so I didn't bother. I did some Mantine Surf, used the BP to buy some vitamins for Bruxish, then went back to Heahea City to change Metang and Bruxish's names to Tron and Psychadelic respectively. Then I got back to beating trainers. Palau missed with FOUR Air Cutters out of five, three in a row, against a Scientist's Porygon for some reason. The last trainer was a very tough Collector who I was only able to beat the Pinsir of thanks to lowering his Speed and then using Palau's Z-Move. After that, I hunted down some Munchlax and stole some Leftovers from them, then decided to train Psychadelic for a bit. There were some trainers I battled, and I got Psychadelic to Level 35 before we entered the trial. Tablet OHKO'd the first three ghosts with Psychic, then after Acerola's clone tried to deter me out, we caught Mimikyu on film, and it attacked!

I began with Tron, who had the Eviolite, and as Mimikyu used Shadow Claw for 2/3 my health, I then got in a Reflect before it called upon Banette. Then it finished me with Shadow Claw. I brought in Reverse and it used Leech Life, which I honestly forgot about, for 3/4 my health, before I used Topsy-Turvy to turn all its stat boosts into drops, then Banette used Curse to half its own health and then finish me off. I brought in Syrup, and Discharge did half of Banette's remaining health and broke Mimikyu's Disguise, then it missed with Play Rough, and Banette burned me with Will-o-Wisp. Then I finished it with Volt Tackle. Then I avoided another Play Rough before the Reflect wore off. I used another Charm, then Play Rough still did a big chunk of my health, and I used Discharge for not much at all before another Play Rough finished me. I brought in Psychadelic, and Aqua Tail got it into the red before it used Shadow Claw for 1/4, and then called upon Jellicent, who was immediately slammed with Crunch. After another weak Shadow Claw, Aqua Jet finished the job.

After Acerola gave me the Ghostium Z, she thought I was lying about Mimikyu being in the back. Plumeria wasn't very tough, then I took to the Haina Desert and got the Psychinium Z, which is VERY important for my team. I got Sharpedo from Grimsley, then took on a couple trainers on Route 15 before reaching Route 16, reading ourselves for Po Town.

Spoiler:
Ula'Ula Island: Easily cleared Team Skull out of Po Town, and then faced off against Nanu for the battle of the Dark's (Spoiler, I'm definitely the better Dark trainer. ;) ) This wrapped up Ula'Ula island and sent me off to Aether Paradise to rescue Lilly and Nebby.

Aether Paradise: Once again, this all went pretty smoothly. The only trainer that gave me any issues was Lusamine. Her Bewear managed to KO a couple of my Pokemon before I could take it down.

Poni Island: Poni Island, levels started catching up with me, and I didn't want to spend the time to grind, so it was a lot of items, and trips to the Pokecenter to heal up between fights. I managed to catch a Greninja (Kermit) with Island Scan to add to my team. Overall it went pretty smoothly. Ultra Necrozma wiped me out a couple of times until I just used Muk(because it was my only pokemon that could last through more than one shot) and stacked X Attacks/Defense/Full restores. After that I spent some time Mantine surfing to get some new Attacks, and wrapped up Poni Island with Mina's challenge, Totem Ribombee, and Hapu's Fight.

That is where I left off, ready to make my ascent of Mt. Lanakila, where I'll be making sure to pick up TM's Ice Beam for Kermit and Poison Jab for Oozer. As well as getting some pre-Pokemon League leveling done.

Ultra Moon Psychic Monotype - Update #4

Spoiler:
So from there I went through Ula'Ula Meadow, and reached Po Town, where I skipped all the grunts and just made my way to Guzma. This took a second try.

I started with Palau against Golisopod, and the first three turns were me using Feather Dance as he failed to use Sucker Punch. Then I stalled him out for his last two usages of it. But then I missed with Air Slash, and he hit with Razor Shell for 1/5 my health and the Defense drop, but then I hit for well over half and forced him out to Pinsir, who I sacked off Reverse to. I brought in Tron, and Throat Chop did over half, but my Rock Tomb didn't do much at all aside from lowering his Speed. And yet he was still faster and finished me with another Throat Chop. I brought in Palau and went for Feather Dance, so his Throat Chop did a little less than half my remaining health. I then used Roost, and he used Throat Chop again for less damage. Then I used Feather Dance again, so he was at -4 and then Throat Chop got me near 1/4. I then used Roost once more, then I was right near half. After another Roost, I was just shy of full. Throat Chop did 1/4. Then I used Air Slash and got him into the red, and the flinch. Revelation Dance finished him. Then was Masquerain, which unfortunately finished me off with Bug Buzz. I brought in Tablet, who did plenty over half with Psychic before being OHKO'd. I brought in Psychadelic and Aqua Jet finished him. After Golisopod finished me with First Impression, I had just Syrup left, and Volt Tackle finished him. Whew!

So after I retrieved Yungoos, and returned it to Acerola, we made our way back to Aether House and discovered that Lillie had been kidnapped! Gladion didn't take this kindly, and attacked. I began with Tron against Golbat, and I somehow missed four attacks in a row. I switched in Syrup, who lived an Acrobatics, then he used Poison Fang but had a completely deserved miss because of the Lax Incense, and Discharge finished him. Zoroark finished me with Hyper Voice, then Palau was hit with Snarl for 2/3, then the Z-Move did 2/3 his health. Then he finished me. I brought in Tablet and he had another completely deserved miss, and Signal Beam finished him. Type: Null was last, and Psychic did less than half, but he used Pursuit, which I lived. I got him low, and X-Scissor finished me. Psychadelic thankfully finished him.

We then returned to Malie City, where Nanu was waiting. Then he challenged me, and refused to call upon the ferry unless I accepted. So after adjusting my team a bit, I did. I began with Palau against Sableye, and Air Slash did a little under half, but I did get the flinch. The next one got him into the red, but so did his Shadow Ball. Thankfully he didn't heal, and Air Slash finished him. Krokorok immediately finished me, so I brought in Psychadelic, and Aqua Jet got him into the red as he used…Swagger? But I hit myself for over 1/3, and he finished me. Tablet was thankfully faster, and Signal Beam slammed him. I switched in Syrup as he used Fake Out and missed because of the Lax Incense, but then he used the Z-Move for an OHKO. I brought in Tron, and lived a Dark Pulse with 14 HP because of the Eviolite, then used Light Screen before he finished me. I brought in Tablet, and Dark Pulse did less than half, meaning he wouldn't have OHKO'd even if it weren't for the Light Screen, which I thought was pretty interesting. I used the Z-Move, Savage Spin-Out, which OHKO'd. With that, I had completed the Grand Trial and got the Darkium Z, and Hau arrived, so we made way to Aether Paradise!

We made our way through some employees, some hard, others not as much. Along the way, Syrup reached Level 42 and learned Thunderbolt, so I decided it was finally the time to use the Thunder Stone and evolve her into Alolan Raichu! Faba's Hypno was a little scary at first, but I got Psychadelic in and slammed it with a Crunch. Then we went to the bottom floor and to Secret Lab B, where we dealt with three employees who were pretty tough, at least the one with the Muk was. Once I met with Hau again, we had to battle two easy enough employees. Hau did the work there! Then we learned more about Cosmog. And we went back upstairs. And battled two more easy employees. And beat more employees on the way out. And I don't like how the part in the originals where Hau outsmarts Faba wasn't here. Then we had Faba himself to contend with. Hau was super dumb in that his Raichu kept using Psychic on Claydol. In the battle, Tron reached Level 44, so afterwards I used a Rare Candy to get it to evolve into Metagross. Then we had two easy Team Skull grunts, and then it was time for one last show against our boy Guzma! This also took a second try.

I began with Palau against Golisopod once again, and yet again began by double-crossing him by causing his Sucker Punches to fail by using Feather Dance. Once he was out of PP for that, I used Air Slash for a little less than 2/3 and forcing him out to Pinsir, which I switched Tablet in for, but he missed with Stone Edge. I used Baby-Doll Eyes, allowing me to narrowly survive his X-Scissor, then Psychic got him into the red before he finished me. Syrup finished him. Masqerain was next, and I let Reverse get sacked to that. I then brought in Tron, who this thing was the reason I used the Rare Candy to evolve it, and Bug Buzz did a little over half, but Rock Tomb thankfully hit and OHKO'd. Golisopod then finished me with First Impression, but I brought in Syrup and finished him with Thunderbolt. Last was Vikavolt, ho boy. I used Volt Tackle for a pretty meh hit, around 1/4, before Bug Buzz slammed me. I brought in Palau, and used the Z-Move, which he barely lived before OHKO'ing me. Psychadelic finished him with Aqua Jet. Whew!

After his freak attack, and me healing, we had to battle the Ultra Recon Squad and their Poipole, which was no problem. I then had to save Lillie from Lusamine's clutches, so it was time for battle!

Tron began by OHKO'ing Clefable with Meteor Mash (had the Expert Belt), then Lopunny came and used Fire Punch for a little less than half, and Hammer Arm…left her with 1 HP!!! Then she used Dizzy Punch for a weak hit, allowing me to use Bulldoze and finish her. Milotic was next, arguably the thing I was most afraid of. Despite that, I had to stay in, and she used…Dragon Pulse? It did not even half my remaining health, and I used Bulldoze for a light hit but lowering her Speed. Then she used Dragon Pulse AGAIN, and I still lived. I then used Zen Headbutt to get her below half. Then she used Dragon Pulse ONCE MORE and finally finished me off. I brought in Psychadelic, and Psychic Fangs did her in. Lilligant came next, however, and used Petal Dance for the OHKO. I brought in Palau, and Petal Dance did BARELY under half, while Dancer activated and allowed me to use Petal Dance just for kicks, and dealt a light hit before I used my Z-Move, Supersonic Skystrike, finishing her. Then she used Bewear last, and I stayed in and used Revelation Dance for a good hit, then she used…Zen Headbutt? Geez, you're REALLY not very smart! Air Slash finished her.

So Guzma and Lusamine used the Ultra Wormhole to enter the darkness with Necrozma, leaving us by ourselves. And Nebby evolved. And the Ultra Recon Squad had been dumbfounded by what Lusamine actually was. Then we stayed the night. And Lillie became her Z-Powered form. And we made way to Poni Island. After a few cutscenes, which included meeting with Mina, before doing ANYTHING else, I made my way to Ancient Poni Path, where after getting Machamp for my Ride Pager, I used Island Scan to get a Delphox. Then I did some Mantine Surf and got some items, and named the Delphox Arsonist. Then we went back to Poni Wilds and beat the trainers there. They weren't terribly tough, but they did deal some decent damage to my team. Then me and Lillie found Hapu again in the Ruins of Hope, and we had to go to Exeggutor Island next. There, we had to save some Exeggutor from some annoying Pinsir. Once we saved them, that allowed me to get the Moon Flute, and was told to head to Vast Poni Canyon. But before we could get there, we had to face five Team Skull grunts in the body of one. After they were done with, Plumeria covered for them and gave me Poisonium Z, which I won't get to use at all. We met with Lillie and Hapu at the entrance to Vast Poni Canyon, and then we had to do battle with the Ultra Recon Squad and Poipole. From there was ready to progress!

Spoiler:
Mt. Lanakila/Pokemon League: I breezed through Mt. Lanakila, picking up some TM's and grinding out some levels. I was a little concerned about the Elite 4/Champion fight, but much to my surprise I completely annihilated all of them. I, and my Dark team, were crowned as the first Champions of Alola!

Team RR Chapter/Red & Blue Battle Tree: I immediately went into the RR Chapter, a little overconfident from my victories in the Pokemon league. I made it through the first few RR bosses fairly easily, but go hung up on Lysandre. After a few losses, I decided to change my focus, and clear Poni Island and get to the battle tree to get some leveling done. I didn't have many issues, until I actually reached the battle tree and faced Red. His Pikachu (with Volt Tackle) wrecked my team, and when I finally managed to take it out, his Charizard easily finished me. At this point I decided to do some grinding, so I re matched the E4, and grinded my team up to 80 all around. I then went back to RR on Aether Paradise. At this point I easily finished off the Team RR Chapter, easily dispatching Giovanni, and earning myself 55 Big Nuggets! Feeling ready to finish off my Ultra Sun Dark Monotype run, I went strait back to the battle tree, and destroyed Red for the much anticipated rematch.

Spoiler:
MVP: Oozer(Alolan Muk) - Oozer was definitely this teams MVP. After a slow start before evolving he really came around. He became my fallback Pokemon, if I needed a couple of turns to use revives/potions, I knew he could take some hits. If I needed a Pokemon to set up with, I knew he was my guy. He was clutch in more battles than I could count, and he made this run a ton easier for me.

LVP(Least Valuable Player): Reynard(Zoroark) - Unfortunately I stuck with Reynard from a very early level, even though there were many times I considered replacing him. There were VERY few times that he did more than come out and immediately die only buying me a turn to use a revive or potion elsewhere. I feel like he was a wasted spot on my team that could have been used for a more reliable Pokemon. Despite my negative feelings I stuck with him on my team until the end. Perhaps I would have struggled less in certain areas with a different Pokemon, but now we will never know.

So, now with my first game down, I will be moving on to my Soul Silver Dark Monotype run. The first challenge is going to be figuring out what Pokemon to bring in to start with, and how to get it into my game! :|

Also, I changed 2 of my games, gen 3 AS to OR, and Gen 5 White 2 to Black 2. I hope that's not an issue, looking through them I realized I didn't want to overwrite the save files for them right now.

Ultra Moon Psychic Monotype - Update #5

Spoiler:
Having reached the Vast Poni Canyon, it was time for me to deal with some trainers! The first one had a VERY strong Banette, but there wasn't too much else until a Veteran with an obnoxious Xatu that 2HKO'd Psychadelic (upon switching in) and caused Reverse to flinch, and I accidentally misclicked and used Superpower when I meant to do Night Slash. After meeting with Lillie once again and watching her make her own trial, we pressed on. Afterwards, not much else seriously interfered - there was a Magnezone that hit pretty hard with +1, but not much troubled me. The last two Veterans did deal some pretty decent damage, though. One had a Glaceon that somehow survived an Inferno Overdrive from Arsonist on base of Flamethrower, and the other had a pretty strong team.

Upon entering the trial, the first two dragons were OHKOs, then we came to the Totem Kommo-o! I led with Reverse, and as it used Dragon Claw for not even half, Topsy-Turvy turned all its boosts into drops. HA! It called upon a Noivern, which used Boomburst for slightly over half my remaining health, and Psycho Cut got him into the red with a critical hit, which I thought was weird. Dragon Claw got me to 10%. Noivern finished me with Boomburst, and I brought in Arsonist, who was met with a Screech before finishing off Kommo-o with Psychic. I switched Psychadelic into a Boomburst for unfortunately over half, then used Syrup, who avoided a Dragon Pulse before being met with a pointless Screech, yet Thunderbolt did less than half. Tron took a weak Boomburst, then I switched in Tablet, who took the same for 1/3, and then finished it with Psychic.

With that, I got the Dragonium Z, which I can't use even if I wanted to. I met with Hapu and Lillie right near the altar, and then we used our flutes to get Nebby to evolve into Lunala, but Lusamine and Guzma were thrown out of the Ultra Wormhole and urged us to turn back. We weren't buying it, though, and after an epic showdown with Necrozma and Lunala, Ultra Beasts were being summoned, and we had to face off against one big, mean, Dawn Wings Necrozma!

I led with Psychadelic and used the Z-Move, Black Hole Eclipse, on base of Crunch, which…got it to 1 HP!!! And it used Moonlight. Then I finished it. But then everything went dark! And we had to go through Ultra Space to reach Ultra Megalopolis. Once we were there, we watched the transformation to Necrozma's true form, Ultra Necrozma! Now we have to do battle with it!

I began with Tron, who took a Dragon Pulse for just under 2/3, and got in a Light Screen. It then used Dragon Pulse again and didn't finish me off (I had Leftovers), then used Meteor Mash for a light hit before it finished me next turn. I then brought in Reverse, who took 5/8 from Dragon Pulse thanks to Light Screen, and used Topsy-Turvy to turn all its stat boosts into stat drops. It was still faster, however, and used Dragon Pulse but I still lived, and Night Slash got it right around half (less than half its remaining health) before Light Screen wore off, and it proceeded to finish me. I then brought in Tablet, and used the Z-Move, Savage Spin-Out, and finished it.

With that done, Necrozma had departed, and the Ultra Recon Squad offered me a Poipole, but I declined for the time being. Lusamine commended Lillie for everything, and then Mina had shown up and took me back to Seafolk Village.

After taking care of a few other matters, I returned to Mina's house. I led off with Reverse, who took an Intimidate from Mawile to boost its Attack, and Play Rough got me very low on health, but my Figy Berry propped me up while Superpower did half, but then she switched out for Granbull, who got off an Intimidate to boost my Attack EVEN FURTHER, then Superpower, despite being resisted, scored a critical hit for roughly 2/3 and boosted my stats yet again. Then by dumb luck, she switched in Ribombee, who was OHKO'd with Psycho Cut. Then she used Mawile, and Intimidate got my Attack to +5!!! I lived a Play Rough and finished her with Superpower, and got my Attack to +6 and Defense to +2. Granbull was last, and unfortunately, she was faster, ending my streak, but that was still priceless. xP I brought in Tron, and as she used Earthquake for 2/3, I finished her with Meteor Mash.

So she gave me the Pink Petal, and sent me off to find Ilima. I did at the Hau'oli Cemetery, and met with him there. Reverse easily bested him thanks to Superpower, and he gave me the Orange Petal. Next was Lana, and her Lanturn was brought to 1 HP with Shattered Psyche from Psychadelic, and she used Thunder Wave, but I accidentally misclicked and used Aqua Tail when I meant to do Aqua Jet, and Discharge OHKO'd her. Tablet finished it. Araquanid was next, and Psychic did half before she OHKO'd with her Z-Move. Syrup finished her with Thunderbolt. Cloyster was last and OHKO'd. Then we were brought to Kiawe at Wela Volcano Park. That was the Psychadelic show pretty much. Next was Sophocles, who just gave me the next petal. After a brief meeting with Guzma at Aether House, it came to my attention to go back to Diglett's Tunnel now that I had Machamp, and got the TM for Will-o-Wisp. Then it was time for Nanu. I began with Tron against Sableye, and I was actually faster, and Meteor Mash was a 2HKO while his Dark Pulse did 2/3. Persian was next, and I sacked Psychadelic to the Z-Move. Tablet was unfortunately flinched by Dark Pulse and 2HKO'd, and Arsonist took over half but thankfully OHKO'd with the Z-Move on base of Fire Blast. Absol was somehow faster and finished me, then I brought in Reverse who took less than 3/4 from a critical hit, but Superpower was mercifully an OHKO. He gave me the last petal, leaving just Mina. And then, one big, angry Ribombee appeared!

I began with Tron, and Bug Buzz did 2/3, while I used the Z-Move, Corkscrew Crash, which got it just short of the red before it called upon a Blissey, which then allowed it to finish me. I brought in Arsonist, took a Bug Buzz for slightly over half, then used Fire Blast to finish it off even with the Occa Berry. I'm not going to talk about the Blissey, because it was an easy 2HKO with Psyshock, even with Light Screen up. With that, I received the Fairium Z, and just one grand trial was remaining. I went to Exeggutor Island after adjusting my team, and was ready to face Kahuna Hapu!

I led off with Psychadelic against Golurk, and went straight in there with the Z-Move on base of Aqua Tail, which slammed her in one hit. Mudsdale was next, and I decided to stay in, while Aqua Tail did slightly over half but boosted her Defense with Stamina, and she OHKO'd me with Payback. I brought in Tablet and finished her with Grass Knot. For Gastrodon, I switched in Arsonist as she used Muddy Water and missed, so I used Mystical Fire for a weak hit but it did lower her Special Attack, so her Muddy Water did barely over half. I used Mystical Fire again, then her Muddy Water left me with 4 HP. I then used Wish before she finished me with Muddy Water, then I brought in Reverse and used Superpower for 1/4 or so and a boost before her Muddy Water did 1/4. I used Superpower again, which she barely lived, then she used Recover. Another Superpower did the job. Last was Flygon, and Earth Power did microscopically under half while Night Slash OHKO'd with a crit. Not bad at all!

With that, I received the Groundium Z and had completed my last grand trial, leaving just one thing left: the Pokemon League!

SoulSilver Update #1

Single/Ultimate/Free Mode?: Ultimate

Spoiler:
I started my Soul Silver run off by trading in an egg with a Larvitar (OGRockRex). Knowing that I was going to be running with very few Pokemon, I began my slight over leveling. I think Larvitar may be a bit strong for the beginning of SS, because I blew through the first 3 Gyms, and all trainers/challengers in between.

I picked up Eevee (Midnight) in Goldenrod, with the intention of evolving to Umbreon. I pent some time leveling, and getting Midnight's friendship up, and finally got it to Umbreon. I continued on through the 4th and 5th Gyms with (surprisingly) no problems.

I then got the call that the Safari Zone was now open, so I headed back to catch myself a Murkrow (Hocus). Once again, I spent some time leveling, and headed over to Olivine for my 6th gym. This was my first hiccough. Jasmines Steelix was way too tanky for me to have all 'Not Very Effective' attacks, and I lost. After this, I spent some time over leveling a bit more, and went in, and took her out.

After my win here, I left off in Ecruteak City, ready to head east and continue my journey.

Ultra Moon Psychic Monotype - Update #6 - Final Update

Spoiler:
After a bit of readjustment, I went to Mount Lanakila, where who else would show up but Gladion! He wanted to challenge me to thank me for saving Lillie and Lusamine. He started with Crobat, which dealt a little less than 1/4 with Acrobatics to Tron before being OHKO'd with Zen Headbutt thanks to the Expert Belt. Zoroark was next and finished me with the Z-Move. I brought in Reverse and took a Night Daze for slightly over half, while Superpower OHKO'd. Then he used Silvally, which finished me with X-Scissor. I brought in Syrup, only to be swiftly OHKO'd with Crunch. I brought in Tablet, and used the Z-Move, Bloom Doom, on base of Grass Knot, which…left him with 1 HP!!! Then his X-Scissor did 90% to me. I finished him with Psychic. Lucario finished me with Quick Attack. I brought in Arsonist and took a weak Quick Attack before OHKO'ing him with Flamethrower. Then he was finally happy, and gave me a PP Max, then declared that he's happy to have us around.

Then it was time to go through Mount Lanakila! As far as trainers went, there was one annoying female Ace Trainer whose Effect Spore paralyzed Tron, and her Clefable used Minimize - good thing I had a Z-Move ready! Tron also once again proved its derpiness with missing against a Veteran's Lickitung. And we had a slightly annoying double battle with two Black Belts with a Bewear. Near the end, there was a Veteran who was dumb and repeatedly used resisted attacks against Arsonist. The last double battle was no problem, aside from a few annoying misses.

Once we were at the top, there wasn't much to do before we were ready to enter the league! I decided that Acerola would be first, as surprising as it may seem.

I began with Syrup against Banette, and used the Z-Move, Stoked Sparksurfer, against Banette, to OHKO it.
Next was Palossand. Not wanting to switch in anyone else, I stayed in and used Charm before she OHKO'd me with Earth Power. I brought in Reverse and hit with Hypnosis, then used Night Slash for a little over half with a crit as she continued to snooze. Night Slash failed to finish her off, and she continued to snooze. She healed, and banking on that, I used Hypnosis and hit again, luckily. Night Slash scored a crit for over half, and the next one wasn't but still finished her.
Froslass was next, and I opted to stay in, and she used Confuse Ray, but I still hit through it and OHKO'd with a crit Night Slash.
Dhelmise came after, and for that I switched in Tron as she used Energy Ball for 1/6, but that was me zoning out, yet I went for Zen Headbutt for a little over 1/4 as her Shadow Ball got me into the red before Leftovers. Another Zen Headbutt got her below half, but she finished me with Shadow Ball. I brought in Tablet and finished her with Shadow Ball.
Drifblim was last. For that I opted to stay in and use Shadow Ball for around 40% before she used Amnesia. My next Shadow Ball got her below half, and her Ominous Wind did a little less than half my health. I brought in Psychadelic, and she used Focus Energy, allowing me to finish her with Crunch for the win (and the unneeded critical hit).

I decided that next would be Olivia, feeling that I had more than enough to handle her.

I began with Tron, and she was somehow faster than me and used X-Scissor for 2/5, but Meteor Mash was an OHKO thanks to the Expert Belt.
Probopass was next, and not wanting to be met with a Thunder Wave, I switched out to Syrup, and sure enough she used Thunder Wave, which failed. Thunderbolt did 1/5 or so, yet her Earth Power actually did less than half. Then I used Thunderbolt again and got a critical hit AND paralysis to get her below half, and she got fully paralyzed. With that, I used Nasty Plot, but she had other ideas, using Sandstorm. Thunderbolt left her barely hanging on, and even with Earth Power and the sandstorm I managed to live, and she healed, while Thunderbolt did around 1/3 before sandstorm finished me. I brought in Psychadelic and used Aqua Tail, which didn't finish her, and she used Thunder Wave. She healed again, and I got fully paralyzed before the sandstorm subsided. I was still faster, and did a little over half before she used Sandstorm again. I hit through paralysis and finished her, at least.
Cradily came after, and I switched out for Reverse. Her Energy Ball did over 1/3, then I used Superpower for slightly less than half as she used Rock Tomb for a light hit and a Speed boost. Yummy. Superpower then finished her and had me with +2 Attack and Defense and +1 Speed before the sandstorm subsided…
But then Gigalith's Sand Stream set it right back up. Superpower did around 2/3, then she used Bulldoze and left me around 1/4, then after sandstorm, Night Slash finished her with a crit.
Lycanroc was last, and I opted to stay in, and thanks to all those boosts, Superpower finished her.

Then we had Kahili to contend with.

I began with Tablet against Braviary and started with the Z-Move, Shattered Psyche, which OHKO'd. Alright, not bad at all!
Hawlucha was next, and I opted to stay in, and Throat Chop left me with 5 HP before I OHKO'd her with Psychic.
Then we had Mandibuzz. I switched Tron into a weak Brave Bird, then she used Flatter to give me a pointless Special Attack boost and confuse me. I hit myself in confusion for basically the amount that Brave Bird dealt to me, then she used Brave Bird again (why?) before I hit with Meteor Mash for an okay hit. Then she used Brave Bird again for whatever reason before I snapped out of confusion and got her low with Meteor Mash. Bullet Punch didn't finish her off, and she used Brave Bird once again (WHY???), leaving me low on health. She healed, and I hit with Hammer Arm for not much at all before she used Brave Bird YET AGAIN and got me into the red. Meteor Mash got her below half. Then she used Brave Bird ONCE MORE and finally finished me. I brought in Syrup and finished her with Thunderbolt.
Oricorio came after. For that I opted to stay in, and while her Revelation Dance did a little over half, Thunderbolt was an OHKO thanks to the Magnet.
Lastly was Toucannon. I chose to stay in once again, and Thunderbolt was an OHKO. Whew!

Lastly was Molayne. I had barely used Arsonist in this Elite Four at all, but I figured this would be his chance to shine.

I led with him against Klefki, who started with Thunder Wave as I led off with the Z-Move, which OHKO'd.
Dugtrio was next, and I switched over to Tron, who took an Earthquake and lived with 1 HP (!!!), which allowed me to get in a light Bullet Punch before he finished me with Earthquake. I brought in Psychadelic and used Aqua Jet, which bested him, but Tangled Hair lowered my Speed.
Magnezone was next. I opted to stay in and use Aqua Jet to break his Sturdy, dealt around 1/5 or so before Thunderbolt OHKO'd me. I brought in Arsonist, and Thunderbolt did slightly less than half only for me to get fully paralyzed. Then he used Screech (uh okay???) before I hit with Flamethrower and finished him.
Bisharp came after, and I switched Tablet into a Night Slash that OHKO'd. I brought in Reverse, and Superpower got the OHKO.
Lastly was Metagross. I chose to stay in and use Night Slash, which did a little over half, and I took a Meteor Mash comfortably before finishing him with another Night Slash.

So that was the Elite Four! Some interesting moments, but overall not too tough in the big picture. I entered the final room, and as I sat on the throne, it looked like Kukui was going to be my final opponent… "Just kidding!" It was Hau! He was ready for battle alright, so let's give him one!

I began with Psychadelic against that Raichu, something I was very worried about, but I had an idea. He used Thunderbolt, which I lived with 1 HP because of my Focus Sash, and OHKO'd him with Crunch. Thank you Strong Jaw.
Decidueye was next. Yikes! I opted to stay in and use Crunch, which did around 2/3, before he wasted his Z-Move, Bloom Doom, which OHKO'd. Yeah, nice going, genius! I brought in Arsonist and finished him with Mystical Fire.
Vaporeon came after. I opted to stay in and use Mystical Fire, which didn't do much at all beyond lowering his Special Attack, and he missed a Hydro Pump. I used Mystical Fire again to get him to -2, but then he hit and dealt a little over half.
But then he switched over to Noivern! I used Wish, then switched over to Tron, who took a Dark Pulse for over 2/3, unfortunately, but Wish propped me up. Dark Pulse got me low, while Meteor Mash did around half on the dot. Then he finished me with Dark Pulse. I brought in Syrup, and after Dark Pulse did over 2/3, Volt Tackle managed to finish him, and recoil didn't finish me.
Tauros came next, and after Intimidate, finished me with Earthquake. I had to bring in Tablet and use Baby-Doll Eyes, and Double-Edge then MISSED because of the Lax Incense! But then he hit for over 2/3, and took recoil damage, but Psychic got him low. He healed, so I took the opportunity to use Morning Sun, leaving me near 4/5. Then I used Baby-Doll Eyes again, but Double-Edge still did well over half my remaining health. I used another Baby-Doll Eyes before he finished me. I brought in Arsonist, who was a little over half dead, and he used Earthquake, which I survived in the red thanks to those Attack drops, allowing me to use the Z-Move and finish him off.
Afterwards was Vaporeon again. I went for Wish, then he finished me with Hydro Pump. I had only Reverse left, and he used Charm, which doubled my Attack. Then I used Superpower to get him into the red and boost my stats even further. He healed, but no matter! Superpower got him into the red and boosted my stats further. He healed YET AGAIN, and Psycho Cut got him into the red. His last Hydro Pump got me to 1/4, but my Sitrus Berry propped me up and allowed me to finish him with Night Slash.
Lastly was Crabominable, who was indeed faster than me. He used Ice Hammer, which thanks to my +2 Defense, I lived with 10 HP. That allowed me to use Superpower, OHKO him and complete the challenge!

So I watched the closing credits play over the montage, and that was it! I completed the game.

The Final Team!

I love this game.

Forum User Name: Swagroar
Game: Ultra Sun
Pokémon Type: Water
Single/Ultimate/Free Mode?: Single

Spoiler:
So I started the game, chose the girl and named her Ezili, then watched the opening and, after being woken up by Meowth, grabbed my coat and bag, then went outside and headed upwards to Route 1, where a Yungoos was about to attack me and my bare hands before the starters came about and saved me. I chose Popplio and named it Amanzi. Then I went up to Iki Town and followed Lillie up to the bridge, where Nebby got itself into trouble and I had to save it, only for it to almost get me killed but Tapu Koko came out and was all "Don't thank me. It's my job." With that, after we safely returned to Kukui and Hala, I received a Pokedex and Trainer Passport, then was invited to the festival.

Making my way to the festival, beating trainers and encountering the Ultra Recon Squad along the way, I had to fight Hau. I actually won, Pichu did not even 1/4 to Amanzi with Thunder Shock and Water Gun was a 2HKO, and Litten was simple as well. So I received my Z-Power Ring and with that, my island challenge had officially started.

The next day, I met with Lillie, and went to Kukui's lab where he gave me Rotom, then everything briefly went dark before it became light again. After Lillie showed me the Pokemon Center, I caught myself a Wingull named Cargo and a Slowpoke named Pinky. I beat the trainers near the lab and then it was time for the Trainer's School! The only particularly tough trainer was the one with the Ekans, but I beat them all, and I was called to the principal's office for rough-housing.

Upon reaching the Teacher, I led with Pinky, who took 3/4 from a critical hit Lea***e, but I thankfully got in a Yawn before she finished me and fell asleep. I then brought in Cargo, and Wing Attack did okay for having a -Attack nature, being a 3HKO as it snoozed. Then she gave me some Great Balls and allowed me to progress, after meeting with Ilima, who saw me as potential for his trial. I had already graduated from the Trainer's School! We met with that Tauros again, but it wasn't so riley once I pet it. Hau and Lillie proceeded to enter Hau'oli City, and I followed suit, where I learned the Alolan greeting, got the Poke Finder and was the 100,000th visitor to an Apparel Shop. Ilima was putting up Totem Stickers, but my touring was interrupted by Team Skull. I took care of them and was met with Ilima once more, but I wasn't ready to battle him just yet. I got my team up a few more levels, then decided to give him a try.

First was Yungoos, and I had to start with Pinky for that. I started with Growl as he used Leer, then he used Pursuit for enough for a 3HKO as I used a weak Water Gun. Then I switched out, but he used Pursuit and KO'd me, but that's actually okay, because he fell asleep and I brought in Amanzi. …Or it would be okay, except he used a Full Heal. I used Work Up, then he used Leer as I used Work Up once again, then he used Tackle for less than 1/4 before I used Water Gun, which scored a critical hit and KO'd him. Then we came to Smeargle. I had to stay in, and he used the grass attack, which I lived in the red, before my Oran Berry triggered, but the irony to that is that my Water Gun wouldn't get Torrent off. Despite that, it still did slightly over half, then Baby-Doll Eyes allowed me to survive another hit with 2 HP, then I used one more before he finished me off. I then brought in Cargo, who was faster (thank you +Speed nature), and I used nothing but Water Gun for a little less than 1/4 with each hit while his Tackles were dealing 7 HP, with him using a Potion along the way (and me wasting an Oran Berry) until I finished him off.

Free to proceed, I went up Route 2, and beat a few trainers until I went to Big Wave Beach and met with a chick who was harboring a Mantine waiting for people to surf on it, but Team Skull wanted it all for themselves! I handled it pretty easily, though. Oh, and before that I caught a Psyduck that I named Smarties. Once that was over with, I proceeded up Route 2 until I eventually made my way to the trial. The three Pokemon and Team Skull weren't very tough, and I quickly was able to reach the totem, Gumshoos!

As the Totem Aura boosted its Defense, I began with Smarties, and used Brick Break for not even 1/4 as it used Scary Face to cut my Speed, then it called upon a Yungoos. Gumshoos used Super Fang and Yungoos used Tackle, leaving me at 1/3, but Brick Break OHKO'd the Yungoos, leaving just the Totem and me. It used Tackle and finished me, so I brought in Cargo and used Water Gun for another weak hit before it used Scary Face. Then it used it again for some reason, so I used Growl to cut its Attack. Then it used Tackle for 1/3 on the dot, while Water Gun left it at 40% or so. Another Tackle left me at exactly 1/3, and then another Water Gun had it in the red. Another Tackle finished me, but Amanzi was able to finish it with a Water Gun.

So I received the Normalium Z from Ilima, was taught how to use Z-Moves, and heard that Lillie was lost somewhere on Route 3. I ended up having to fight a few trainers, and then come Monday, I was able to use Island Scan and get a Squirtle, which I named Artillery. After catching it, I healed up, and returned to Seaward Cave, where Nebby was, and then the Ultra Recon Squad approached me and wanted me to prove myself, so I had to battle Dulse and his Furfrou. It bested Smarties, but not without me getting him below half with two usages of Brick Break. Pinky halved his Attack and got him to sleep, and Artillery was able to take it from there. I returned outside with Nebby, where Hau was waiting, and challenged me. I started with Cargo against Litten, and Water Gun did well over half, and his Oran Berry propped him out of Torrent range, and he only used Growl - fine with me! Another hit finished him. Pikachu came next, of course, and as I switched out to Pinky, he used Quick Attack - geez, dude, wake up! As I used Yawn, he got in a pointless Growl as I got in an okay hit with Water Gun before he fell asleep. Both Smarties and Artillery dealt hits in finishing him, but the former got paralyzed with Static. Noibat was last, and not really much worth talking about.

I beat the trainers in Hau'oli Cemetery, which I had skipped because I wanted to wait on Squirtle, and beat the last of the trainers on Route 3, and then that Ace Trainer. His Slowpoke I had literally nothing for until I taught Echoed Voice to my mirror-match, and then his Butterfree got the boost on his first usage of Silver Wind, then his last PP OHKO'd Amanzi with a critical hit, which had me pretty pissed. But with all that done, I did a bit of training before Hala, including getting Artillery to Level 16 to evolve into Wartortle. Then it was time for me to make my way back to Iki Town and take on the kahuna, Hala!

As he began with Machop, I started with Slowpoke, and thanks to the Expert Belt, my Confusion did a little over half, but his Revenge did over 1/3! Whoa! But because of him using it again, I was able to finish him with another Confusion.
Crabrawler was next, and I chose to stay in. As he used Leer, Confusion did less than half, but enough for a 3HKO. Pursuit left me with 2 HP, and Confusion got him into the red. He didn't heal, and Pursuit finished me. I brought in Smarties, and he was faster and used Leer, but Confusion finished him.
Makuhita came last, and he used Fake Out for exactly 1/3. Confusion then did a laughably weak hit as he used Sand-Attack. I then got him just near half as he used Sand-Attack yet again. I hit through -2 accuracy and got him near 1/3 before he used another Sand-Attack. Another Confusion scored a critical hit and finished him for the win.

With that, Hala gave me the Fightinium Z, and my Grand Trial was complete. I then got Tauros registered to my Ride Pager, and was invited to the Alola Photo Club.

poison run:
Did a lot of stuff.
Beat elite four and Rival.

Final team:
Qamra (nidoqueen) lvl 44 earthquake, hyper beam, body slam, rest
Salome (venomoth) lvl 45 psychic, leech life, poison powder, stun spore
Medusa (tentacruel) lvl 44 surf, ice beam, mega drain, poison sting
Raven (golbat) lvl 44 wing attack, bite, confuse ray, double team
Oleander (venosaur) lvl 45 solarbeam, razor leaf, toxic, leech seed
Than (muk) lvl sludge, body slam, poison gas, minimize MVP

I finally got back to this and cleaned up the rest of the run and it was so much fun not to mention funny how many times the ai tries to use poison gas and powder on me. All of the gym leaders were a joke including Sabrina surprisingly. My biggest obstacle was Rival's Alakazam too fast, too strong, and somehow able to hit me after +6 evasion is up. My first loss to Rival in the game was before Victory Road but luckily as a champion I learned a new tactic, spamming revives until he picks reflect enough to toxic him down, after that he had nothing left to challenge me. I loved this monotype and am looking forward to continuing it.

Blue 8/8, Gold 0/16, gen 3, gen 4, gen 5, gen 6, gen 7

Ultra Sun Water Monotype - Update #2

Spoiler:
After beating Hala, I went over to the Alola Photo Club, took a picture that made Cargo happy, and then did a bit of extra side stuff before going to Big Wave Beach with Hau and doing a round of Mantine Surf, and we in turn entered Akala Island on Heahea City. Shortly after, we came to Sina and Dexio, and Dexio challenged me. His Slowpoke was 3HKO'd by Artillery's Bite, and Espeon finished me with two more hits but I was able to get it to 1/3 or so with Bite and then Aqua Jet. Then Cargo lived his Psybeam with 2 HP… Only to be confused and hit herself, finishing me off. Pinky was able to get him to sleep with Yawn and then Amanzi finished him.

I then got Amanzi's happiness up so he could get Water Pledge, and then decided to go over to Route 4. I skipped the trainers and made my way straight to Paniola Town where Hau was. His Torracat was narrowly 2HKO'd by Cargo's Water Pulse, and Pikachu I was able to get in a Yawn with Pinky, allowing Artillery to 3HKO it with physical attacks. Noibat bowed down to Amanzi's Icy Wind, and after the Eevee was defeated, he evolved into Brionne. From there, I wasted no time in getting to the nursery (after getting Stoutland for the Ride Pager) and obtaining the Eevee egg. Then I went back and beat the trainers on Route 4, none of which were very difficult. And we explored Paniola Town, did some stuff and saved a Vulpix from being harassed by Team Skull. I made my way back to Paniola Town and named Eevee Transparent.

As we went through more trainers, we eventually came to Gladion, and I wasn't at my computer for it, but Smarties OHKO'd Zorua with Brick Break, Zubat I don't remember, but Type: Null I had to get crafty with to cut its stats and get it in prime form for a finishing. Oddly, he didn't use Pursuit even though I had two team members with less than 10 HP left when I finished him. After we were done with that, I caught a Dewpider in Brooklet Hill that I named Antennae. Having beat the trainers, I proceeded through the trial and beat the waves of Wishiwashi and Dewpider before we came to the totem. First try, it looked like victory was within an arm's reach, but multiple things happened that kept me from making it in the end.

As the Totem Aura boosted its Speed, I began with Pinky, and Leech Life left me with 6 HP, allowing me to use Yawn before it called upon its ally Dewpider, then it finished me with another Leech Life. I went for Antennae, and as Araquanid snoozed, I used Infestation before the mirror-match used Bug Bite for 1/3 and Infestation sapped away at Araquanid. It continued to snooze, then I used Bug Bite for a weak hit and pointlessly stealing its Wacan Berry, before Dewpider used Bug Bite again. Unfortunately, it woke up and used Leech Life, finishing me and healing most of the damage it inflicted. I brought in Cargo, and used Growl to cut their Attack, then it used Aurora Beam for over 1/4 while Dewpider used Sticky Web. I used Growl again and took a Bite for a moderate hit before Bubble from Dewpider got me to 1/4. I used one more Growl before being finished. I then called on Transparent and was able to get in two usages of Quick Attack before that went down. Then I used Amanzi, and a gang Bubble got me below 2/3 while my Water Pledge did okay. Then Araquanid used Bubble and Dewpider used Bug Bite, leaving me just shy of Torrent, but it was getting lower with another Water Pledge. They got me to Torrent range, and Water Pledge finished it! That got me to Level 20, and Water Pledge just came short of finishing Dewpider, then it came short of finishing me, and I switched out for Artillery and finished it with Aqua Jet.

So I got the Waterium Z, and the Fishing Rod, both of which will be a huge help for me. After that, since it was Saturday I went back to Brooklet Hill to catch a Marshtomp, but I forgot to nickname it. Then I dealt with the Ultra Recon Squad near the end of the route, and beat some simple enough trainers on Route 6, and took on a Battle Royale. There wasn't too much in the way of getting to Wela Volcano Park and the trainers there except for a Kadabra which was admittedly quite strong. But eventually we made our way to Kiawe's trial. To start the trial, I intentionally flubbed the first dance to get a little more EXP for Cargo, but I had the Z-Move to OHKO both Marowak. The second one, I answered "Where they're looking" and it somehow still worked, then I OHKO'd Hiker David's Magmar with the Z-Move. Then it was time for the Totem Marowak!

As the Totem Aura boosted its Speed, it opened the fight with Detect and blocked my Growl before it called upon its ally Salazzle. Which used Venoshock and did over 2/3 before Marowak finished me with Flame Wheel. I brought in Transparent, and used Baby-Doll Eyes to cut Marowak's Attack a little, but then I was ganged up on and finished. I then turned to Antennae, and aimed for Salazzle - good call, as Marowak used Detect, while Salazzle used Poison Gas to poison me, but I used Bubble Beam and got Salazzle into the red. I then switched to Artillery, and Venoshock did almost half, then Marowak used Flame Wheel for 1/4 even with -1 and resistance. I finished Salazzle with Aqua Jet, then Marowak finished me with Brick Break. I then used Amanzi, and Brick Break did less than half, while I used Water Pledge for around 62% even with the Expert Belt… And Cursed Body disabled it!!! Screw you!!! I switched out for Marshtomp, and Brick Break did half, and it blocked my Mud-Slap with Detect. I got the Quick Claw and used Mud-Slap to cut his accuracy a bit, causing him to miss with Brick Break. But then it hit and left me with 2 HP, allowing me to use another Mud-Slap and get him into the red. He missed again, then Water Gun finished him, getting Marshtomp and Dewpider both to Level 21.

With that, I had defeated Kiawe's trial, and received the Firium Z which I doubt I'll use. And he registered Charizard to my Ride Pager and gave me some Quick Balls. With Charizard in hand, I went back to Heahea and named Marshtomp Finn. Then I met with Mohn, who gave me Poke Pelago, got the trial guide's barricade passed, and went through the Dividing Peak Tunnel. Then on Route 8 I met with Colress, and after receiving a TM from him that I won't be able to use, the first thing I did was find the Water Stone to get Transparent to evolve into Vaporeon. Afterwards I did some Mantine Surf to get a lot of Battle Points, which in turn allowed me to get an Ability Capsule to use on Cargo once she becomes Pelipper and can get Drizzle.

Then I caught a Wishiwashi on Route 7 that I named Mutation, which I added to the team and replaced Artillery with. I proceeded to beat the rest of the trainers on Routes 8 and 5, the most annoying being the Ace Trainers, and the Trial Guide's Mr. Mime which even at -3 Speed was still faster than Amanzi. At least along the way, Antennae evolved into Araquanid. And I went to get the Flyinium Z at Ten Carat Hill. But once that was all done, I returned to Route 8 to go to Lush Jungle. Getting through the trial without having to face any of the extra foes, it was time for Totem Lurantis!

As the Totem Aura boosted its Speed, I started with Amanzi, and used Protect, as it used Solar Blade, and the Power Herb readied it immediately… But Protect blocked it! It then called upon its ally Kecleon. Lurantis used X-Scissor for just short of a 3HKO as I used Icy Wind to cut the Speed of both opponents and turn Kecleon into an Ice-type, but Kecleon then used Sunny Day! Uh-oh! I used Protect again to block a Solar Blade and Screech and stall out the sunlight. Then I brought in Finn, who was immediately slammed with Solar Blade. Then I used Transparent, and used Baby-Doll Eyes to cut Lurantis' Attack, and Solar Blade proceeded to do 2/3 before Kecleon nearly finished me with Dizzy Punch. I then got in another Baby-Doll Eyes against Lurantis before it finished me with Solar Blade, then the sunlight faded. I brought in Amanzi again, and got the Quick Claw and used Icy Wind, cutting their Speed down more, then Lurantis readied Solar Blade as Kecleon used Sunny Day. I used Protect to block Solar Blade and Screech. I used Encore banking on it using Synthesis… Unfortunately the Quick Claw triggered, which accidentally locked it into Solar Blade, which finished me. So I brought in Cargo and used the Z-Move, Supersonic Skystrike, and that got it just short of the finishing, then Solar Blade got me to 1/4, and Kecleon finished me with Dizzy Punch. I had to bring in Antennae, who took a Solar Blade for just over 1/3, but I finished the opponent with Bug Bite and Antennae grew to Level 24, then Kecleon used a weak Dizzy Punch before the sunlight faded. I then used Bite to turn it into a Dark-type, but then Dizzy Punch confused me, so I switched over to Mutation, and after forming a school, took another Dizzy Punch for 1/6. Brine did decent damage, then Dizzy Punch was weak. Feint Attack finished the job.

With that, I had completed the trial! Mallow gave me Grassium Z and I had cleared all three of Akala Island's trials! I met with Kukui, who wanted me to come to the Dimensional Research Lab before progressing. I went back to the Hau'oli Mall to reteach Water Pledge to Amanzi, but turns out his happiness wasn't high enough yet.

Ultra Sun Water Monotype - Update #3 (I played through the last of this today, while the previous update I finished in the last week.)

Spoiler:
After I was all done with Akala's trials, and getting my two starters' happiness up so they could get Water Pledge, I went over to the Dimensional Research Lab and learned about the Ultra Wormhole, and then one appeared in the sky. Then we went through Diglett's Tunnel and beat some easy trainers, including Team Skull, and beat two trainers on Route 8 before arriving in Konikoni City. There was a little bit to do there before I received an invitation to the Ruins of Life from Olivia, and made my way through, beating some trainers, some of which were rather strong. And along the way, Cargo evolved into Pelipper, and I used the Ability Capsule to change her ability to Drizzle. We were stopped by Plumeria, though, and I wasn't at my computer when I battled her, but she wasn't very tough. Same deal with Olivia, although her Anorith did over half to Finn with Bug Bite and wasn't OHKO'd with Water Pledge, and as for Lileep I completely forgot that I had the TM for Leech Life, so I was stuck with a 3HKO at the hands of Antennae, who also took over 1/3 from Bite for Lycanroc, which was kind of sad since she literally could have OHKO'd me with Rock Tomb, let alone the Z-Move. And when Lycanroc was almost done, Amanzi got the Quick Claw and finished her with Water Pledge. With that, I got the Rockium Z and was invited to the Aether Paradise.

So we did just that, meeting with Lusamine and the Ultra Recon Squad and learning more about Nihilego, including being told that I'm 11 even though I'm more than double that age. Once we were done with all of that we made arrival on Ula'Ula Island, and by extention, Malie City. Hau challenged us to a battle. Torracat was 2HKO'd by Cargo's Water Pulse thanks to Drizzle, and as for the big one, Raichu, I switched Finn into a Quick Attack for a light hit, the Psychic got me extremely low, and I used Bulldoze which got him into the red, but then he switched out for his Leafeon, which had its Speed lowered with Bulldoze before he finished me. Then I used my own Eeveelution, Transparent, and Aurora Beam did rather nicely, but he had Giga Drain which healed quite a bit of health. But then, on dumb luck, Aurora Beam scored a critical hit and finished him, then Raichu finished me with Electro Ball. I then used Mutation, and he used…Psychic? It did a little over half, but that allowed me to finish him with Feint Attack. As for Tauros, I let Cargo be sacked off just to re-activate Drizzle, then I barely lived a Horn Attack and finished him with the Z-Move. Noibat was last and Amanzi OHKO'd that with Icy Wind.

Then we went through Malie Garden and met with the professor, and afterwards checked out the Malie Library and read about the legendary Pokemon. Before progressing, though, I caught a few more Pokemon, including a Pyukumuku named Gumball, a Remoraid named Blaster, and a Seel named Blubbrnugget. Then we went through Routes 11 and 10, beating the trainers there including Team Skull, and then took the bus up to Mount Hokulani. The trainers there were simple enough, except that Veteran with the Dark-types. His Persian did over half to Cargo with Feint Attack but Amanzi was able to finish it off, before his Absol OHKO'd me with the Z-Move after a Screech. Unfortunately, Finn was OHKO'd with a critical hit before it could use Counter, Mutation thankfully was not dealt a critical hit and dealt over half with Brine, which allowed Gumball to survive a Night Slash (which it would have even with a crit) and use Counter to finish the job.

I then met with Molayne and got the Steelium Z from him, and he invited me into the observatory to do his trial. After finding all the Charjabug, I was formerly invited. The Elekid and Electabuzz were easy enough, but then the Mecha Vikavolt went crazy, but we were saved, and in turn it was time for the Totem Togedemaru!

As the Totem Aura boosted its Defense, I led off with Gumball, and it used Zing Zap, which came short of the confusion berry, and caused me to flinch, then it called upon Skarmory. It then finished me with Zing Zap, and Innards Out activated, but it wasn't much of a help, and Skarmory used Stealth Rock. I brought in Amanzi, took some Stealth Rock damage, and used Baby-Doll Eyes to cut Togedemaru's Attack a bit, then Zing-Zap got me into the red before Skarmory missed with Steel Wing. I was able to get in another Baby-Doll Eyes before it finished me with another Zing-Zap, and then I brought in Antennae. Even with Stealth Rock damage chipping 1/4 my health, I went with the Z-Move… Unfortunately, Togedemaru used Spiky Shield, so my attack didn't do a lot at all. And Skarmory used Torment. Then Zing-Zap got me low, and Skarmory used Steel Wing but I still lived, although Bubble Beam hit through and did okay, but propped the Sitrus Berry. Togedemaru then used Bounce, and Skarmory got me to 1 HP, but Bubble did okay to it. Then I was finished. It was time for me to bring in Finn, and Togedemaru used Bounce. Predicting that, I used Water Pledge on Skarmory, which did less than half its remaining health. Togedemaru then used Bounce for a pretty weak hit, and Skarmory's Steel Wing didn't do much either, and Mud Bomb finished it. It was easy from there.

With that, I got the Electrium Z, and I was given the Professor's Mask to return to him down at Malie Garden. There we battled our boy Guzma. Golisopod was OHKO'd with Gumball's Counter, and Masquerain finished it off only to get some Innards Out, and then it missed against Cargo with Air Slash, allowing me to 2HKO it from there with Air Cutter even though I foolishly forgot to give the Flyinium Z. Then I grabbed Blaster, my Remoraid, and proceeded through Route 11, where we met with Hapu on Route 12 and received Mudsdale for my Ride Pager. I also decided to grab Blubbrnugget, as well, to see if I could use either of them to an effective degree. I beat a few trainers and made my way to Ula'Ula Beach, where I did more Mantine Surf. Once I had over 100 BP I continued to make my way through the opponents, some of which were very strong. Sadly, I couldn't keep Blubbrnugget for long, considering it felt dangerous to have two Pokemon that weren't fully trained on the team at one time. I even tried to take on the dude with three Dragon-types in front of the Pokemon Center, but I was no match. After going to the Aether House, meeting with Acerola and saving Lillie from a Team Skull grunt, Acerola invited me to her trial. However, with how much I was getting beat into the dirt, I realized it was time for me to suck it up and do some grinding. And I changed Blaster's name to Cannonball. I also decided to bring back Transparent just for a bit, because there was a move he could learn that I had a feeling could help greatly against the Totem. I also dealt with some Frillish who were swarming a Swimmer, and then a strong Veteran right past him, which allowed me to get the TM for Shadow Ball.

Then I did more training, finishing up the trainers on Route 14 along the way, and Amanzi evolved into Primarina. Then it was time for me to enter the trial! I beat the three Ghost-types along the way, ran into a fake Acerola who tried to get me to leave, and then it was time for the Totem Mimikyu!

As the totem aura boosted all its stats, I began with Transparent. The opponent opened the fight with a Play Rough for slightly over half, allowing me to use Haze and get rid of its boosts. Then it called upon its ally Banette. Then I used Baby-Doll Eyes on Mimikyu, and Play Rough did half my remaining health before Banette used Feint Attack to get me very low. I used Baby-Doll Eyes again to get it to -2, and avoided a Play Rough - yeah, NOW you avoid the attack! - before Banette finished me with Feint Attack. I decided to use Mutation, who started schooling, and got the Quick Claw, allowing me to use Beat Up, but it only did a little over half. Guess it's based off the Attack stats of all my team members, not just individual stats! Then they ganged up on me with Play Rough and Feint Attack for around 1/6 each. Mimikyu used Play Rough and Banette used Will-o-Wisp before I finished Banette with Brine, and after burn I was at 1/3. Then I avoided another Play Rough, and used Brine to get rid of the disguise. Then I had a little over 1/4 left. Play Rough left me with 7 HP, and Brine got the opponent to 70% or so before I stopped schooling. Then it finished me. I brought in Cargo, and that triggered Drizzle, then I switched Amanzi into a Play Rough for 1/4 even with -2. I then took another Play Rough for slightly less, then used the Z-Move, Oceanic Operetta. Between the rain and Primarina's stats… It finished off the opponent.

With that, Acerola commended me for completing the trial, and gave me Ghostium Z for myself. Then she denied being in there herself. And then she fled off as if nothing had happened. With that, I think that's enough progress here.

Pokemon Soul Silver Fire Monotype PT 7 Pokeatheleting

I have finally got fed up with banking on Alan to call me, so I decided to do the pokeathalon. I defeated a few trainers with little issue before making my choice. And turns out I'm not half bad at it, the Pokeathalon is one of those things, like contests, that you generally don't do, as it has very little bearing on anything, just a simple gimmick. BUT at this point in the game, it is the best way to get Evo stones. And now that I have enough athlete points, it is time to obtain my fire stone!

Now it is the moment of truth, I select the fire stone, and here we go! Flareon acquired! and it looks so majestic too. Now to grind out some levels. In the midst of training, GunsNRoses was tought dig and headbutt, and eventually learned Ember. Now to go towards Olivine city! I met Baoba, and got his number, checked out the moomoo milk farm, and then rolled onwards.

On the way to olivine, there were really no problems with trainers, except for one poliwhirls hypnosis, my rival complains about the gym leader dealing with sick pokemon, saying it should just be left to be! I heal up, and prepare to ascend the lighthouse. The first trainers Noctowl gave me some issues, Poliwhirl Hypnosis is a thing. I make it to the top, Nickelback laerned Ancient Power, and I met Jasmne, before tackling the seas to fetch some medicine(and challenge the gym of course)

Guns N Roses seems to deal with confusion and sleep very well, usually no longer than 2 turns at most, and all of the water trainers really have no aswer for my one firey boi. For a fire type team, I am having an easy time with these trainers, after a bit of sailing, I finally hit Cianwood city! I heal up and hit the pharmacy, and obtain the "SecretPotion." I could challenge Cianwood Gym now, or wait until after Jasmine. Despite the type advantage, I decide to go against the fighting type leader first, due to him being lower leveled. After a few gym trainers, I realized I am SERIOUSLY underleveled, so off we go back to the seas to grind, LincolnPark learned fire punch, and NickelBack larned Ancient Power. While grinding, I delivered the medicine back to Jasmine, and Baoba callse me, saying th safari zone is open, but as far as I'm concerned, there is little of value as far as my type is concerned. GunsNRoses larned bite on my way back to Cianwood, to fight the trainers on the way to the safari zone.

Back in th Gym, I turn off the water, LET THE BATTLE BEGIN! I lead off with GunsNROses vs his Primape, hoping to abuse dig to beat him, but he starts spaming double team. Primape fails his focus punch, and I dig again, AND I miss, and eat a focus punch, RIP GunsNRoses. I switch in LinconPark to hopefully confuse him, AND it misses too. For Poliwrath I stay in to spam smokescreen. Hypnosis missed and I continue my smokescreen spamming, before firing off a faint attack. BUT Poliwrath puts me to sleep, so now I will fodder my Magmar as it has done its job. I eat a focus punch and LinconPark goes down, BUT as a last ditch effort, Poliwrath gets burned! I switch in Metallica to start the real battle, and Poliwrath uses its berry. I was afraid of him using surf, but luckly he just spams focus punch despite me constantly attacking, maeaning all it does is fail, and the burn is taking its toll and headbutt flinching does not hurt either, as I'm about to deliver the finishing blow, Chuck uses a super potion to fully restore. Right as Poliwrath is about to go dow HE USES SURF! But he dies to the burn, and even if he was not burned, I would have finished him with AC/DC. Now on back to Olivine city for a double gym suprise!

After the Gym, get HM02 Fly, BUT I have no pokemon who can use it.........

First I need to check out suicune up at the top of the city, AND the time suddenly turns to night, Suicune looks me in the face again, and galavants off elsewhere, Eusine talks to me about suicune, and I engage in a battle, with my team not healed. So it is up to Nickelback, aaaannnndddd he's asleep turn 1, Drowzee disables ember, and I wake up turn 2, land an ancient power, and Drowzee misses his deam eater. I eat a confusion, and continue my ancient power assault, AAAANNNNDDDD asleep YET AGAIN!!! GARR, and now on 1 health, I can't risk it, and switch to AC/DC, and end this stupid drowzee with a flamethrower. ELsine selects Electrode as his next pokemon, and drops THUNDER OF ALL THINGS!, and now I'm paralyzed, so Super Potion time it is, aaanndd Electrode critical Thunders me....... I decide to revive Quilava and ate another thunder, RIP my team. First blackout in a while, all because I got careless, guess that is what I get, and with my confidence curtailed, off to Olivine, and I am SEVERELY under-leveled Right now.
Leafeon by day, Mercenary by night, hidden in the trees, under the light.

Ultra Sun Water Monotype - Update #4

Spoiler:
After defeating Totem Mimikyu, I decided to have yet another chance at training up Blubbrnugget, and I went through the desert to get the Psychium Z. By that time, he was Level 25, so I decided to just go whatever and take on Plumeria so I could access Ula'Ula Meadow to train first. Golbat was OHKO'd with Shattered Psyche from Cannonball, and Salazzle got the boot from a rain boosted Brine from Mutation. Then we were invited to Po Town to meet with the boss and save a Yungoos. I received Sharpedo from Grimsley, and then made my way to the Route 16 Pokemon Center, and along the way dealt with a beyond obnoxious Surfer with a Mantine that got almost every kind of hax he possibly could. But then we got to dealing with a few more trainers, including the ones in Ula'Ula Meadow, who weren't very tough. I also decided that ultimately Blubbrnugget wouldn't be worth it in the end because I felt like the Ice-type was a hindrance and better left to my other team members.

I then skipped as many grunts as I could and made my way to Guzma. I started with Cargo against Golisopod, and Air Cutter did around 40% or so before his Razor Shell, which had the rain boost, did slightly less than half and got the Defense drop. Sheesh! Another Air Cutter got him low and triggered Emergency Exit, which brought him out into Pinsir. I decided to let him finish me with Throat Chop, because I didn't want to switch Amanzi into that and not be able to use Sparkling Aria. X-Scissor scored a critical hit and got me into the red, but Counter allowed me to OHKO him. Masquerain came and got off a pointless Intimidate before finishing me, then I brought in Amanzi. Air Slash did less than half, and the Z-Move, Oceanic Operetta, OHKO'd with a critical hit that I doubt mattered. Golisopod finished me with Razor Shell, but Antennae took a Sucker Punch for just under half and finished him with Bubble Beam.

So they surrendered the Yungoos to me, I picked up some items I missed, and I met with Nanu and Acerola before making my way out. However, our happy reunion was interrupted by the fact that Lillie was taken away by Team Skull! Gladion didn't take it kindly, and threw us into battle. For Golbat, Cannonball 2HKO'd with Psychic, and Zoroark finished it with Hyper Voice, then did less than 1/3 to Antennae with the same before I used my Z-Move, Savage Spin-Out, to OHKO it. Type: Null I weakened a bit with Leech Life and then was able to get Finn in to use Counter and finish him. Then we had to go to the pier, where Nanu challenged me to battle, but I wasn't ready yet. I went back to the Battle Royal Dome and picked up an Ability Capsule, which I used on Cannonball to change her ability to Sniper. Then I returned to the pier at Malie City and took on Nanu. He said "Don't take it too serious, now" - hey, maybe try taking your own advice!

Anyway, I began with Finn against Sableye, and Fake Out dealt a light hit, but I wasn't able to do a whole lot. I was able to get it below half before it finished me. So I brought in Mutation, who took a Shadow Ball and finished him with a Brine that scored the critical hit - yeah, thanks a lot. Krokorok came next. Earthquake finished me, sadly, and Cannonball took 3/4 from Earthquake before Octazooka failed to finish it. So I switched in Cargo, triggering Drizzle, as he used a Hyper Potion. He used Swagger, but I hit through it and slammed him with Water Pulse. Persian was last, and dealt a light Fake Out before I switched Antennae into a Power Gem for over half. Then it finished me. I brought in Amanzi, took Power Gem for just over 1/4, then used the Z-Move, Oceanic Operetta, which OHKO'd him for the win.

With that, he gave me the Darkium Z and the Grand Trial had been completed. We headed to Aether Paradise, but I felt that my team would need a few more levels first, so I went back to train. Once my entire team was Level 41 (and I got Cargo and Amanzi to 42), I returned to the Aether Paradise. I made my way through some employees, and Faba, who his Hypno was annoying, especially since I accidentally mis-clicked with Antennae and used Bug Bite when I meant to do Leech Life, which would have been a 2HKO had that not happened, but I got through it. We then had to deal with three easy guys in alien suits, and then Hau and I dealt with a duo who used Clamperl evolutions, and then after learning more about Cosmog, Hoenn fossils. Neither of them were tough. Gladion was then glad that we were there, and Wicke was happy to see us again as well. Then we had a double battle alongside Gladion, and despite Amanzi being weak to Electric, he did okay, even if there was a lot of hax from them. He even learned Moonblast during that battle. Also, fun fact: both Amanzi and Cannonball were dropped to 45/129 from the Electabuzz's Thunder Punch, even though the latter had more Defense. Then it was Faba time! I wasted no time in slamming his Claydol with Oceanic Operetta, and Hau was stupid against Ledian and used Raichu's Psychic and was ganged up on. At least his Incineroar OHKO'd Faba's Hypno with Darkest Lariat. The rest wasn't much, even though Bruxish very nearly OHKO'd Antennae with Psychic Fangs.

The Guzma fight sucked, though. I wasn't at my computer, but once I discovered that his Vikavolt had Energy Ball, I had to bring back Gumball with Innards Out to have any chance at beating it. But then his Masquerain avoided a Rock Tomb from Finn, which very nearly cost me the battle. Yet I managed to win thanks to Mutation. Golisopod was almost dead thanks to a Z-Move from Cargo, so it was finished soon after. Then we dealt with the Ultra Recon Squad and their Poipole, and ahead was Lusamine. After some talk about what she plans to do with Nebby to reach Necrozma, she challenged me as to demonstrate her strength!

As she began with Clefable, I opened with Mutation, and she used Moonblast for 2/3 my health, while my Aqua Tail did less than half. She used Psychic and finished me. I brought in Cargo, and Water Pulse barely did anything, while Hyper Voice did half. I still couldn't finish her, but I had 2 HP left after a Psychic. I finished her with a third Water Pulse, then she brought in Lopunny. Predicting Thunder Punch, I switched in Finn, and I was right, and thus the attack failed. She then used Ice Punch for less than 1/3, and Counter did 2/3 her health, but Cute Charm activated. Then she used Dizzy Punch, but I still hit through it with Counter and finished her. Lilligant was next, of course, and she used…Teeter Dance?! Rock Tomb did meh, around 1/5 or so, and lowered her Speed. Then she used Stun Spore (?!?!), but I hit myself in confusion. And she used Teeter Dance AGAIN (?!?!?!?!) and I hit with Rock Tomb, cutting her Speed to half. She then used Teeter Dance YET AGAIN (?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!) and another Rock Tomb got her around 1/3 and at -3 Speed. I was then faster, and used Rock Tomb, she was almost dead, and she used Stun Spore (?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!) and hit. Then she used Teeter Dance ONCE AGAIN (?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!) before I finished her with Rock Tomb. Then she brought in Milotic and finally finished me with Hydro Pump. I brought in Cannonball, and she used Dragon Pulse for a little less than half, then I used Toxic. She then avoided an Octazooka and Toxic continued to toll away at her. Then I switched in Antennae for slightly less than 1/3. She used it again, and Leech Life did pretty meh but one more turn and she was finished. Bewear was last, and I sacked off Cannonball so I could get in Cargo, who used the Z-Move, Supersonic Skystrike, which she barely lived, sadly. She finished herself with recoil damage from Take Down against Amanzi.

Then she and Guzma went through the Ultra Wormhole to face Necrozma, and Wicke allowed me to stay the night. The next morning, Lillie had transformed into her Z-Powered form, Gladion talked for a bit and gave me a Master Ball. Hau was then more inspired himself, and with that, I went with Lillie and Hau to Seafolk Village on Poni Island. Afterwards, we met with Mina, who did get down to that I wanted to take her trial. But once we had attended to what was necessary, we made our way up to the Poni Wilds. We dealt with a pretty annoying Ace Trainer who used two Poison-types, and then a couple more trainers before we did a quick round of Mantine Surf. That in turn allowed me to teach Aqua Tail to Finn, and get the Over The Gyarados trick. Then I did another round where I scored 156.7k in one round and got 50 Battle Points! Dang! After looking at some of the type reduction berries on Poni Wilds, we dealt with an idiot Ace Trainer who did not understand type matchups at all. Lastly was Dancer Julia, and she did provide some annoyance but we beat her and got a Focus Sash from her. Then we met with Hapu's gran at Ancient Poni Path, and got Machamp for my Ride Pager from her.

Shortly after, I found the TM for Scald, which will be a HUGE help…except for the fact that I accidentally replaced Cargo's Air Cutter with it. But I also caught a Carvanha and Clawitzer, but didn't nickname either of them because I doubted that I would be using either of them. I also caught a Lapras, which I went to name Elsa. After that I did more Mantine Surf to get some BP. I got some of the Power items and decided to EV train her up. I then met with Hapu at the Ruins of Hope, where she "officially" became the kahuna of the island. We then had to go to Exeggutor Island to save some rowdy Exeggutor from some Pinsir, and got the Sun Flute from the pedestal up top. Our next stop was the Vast Poni Canyon, but some stubborn Team Skull grunts were there and we had to beat them. They weren't tough, although their Raticate did hit pretty hard with Double-Edge. Plumeria begged us to save Guzma for them, and gave me the Poisonium Z, which sadly I won't get to make use of. Up ahead was the Vast Poni Canyon, where Hapu was waiting for us…

…But the Ultra Recon Squad, knowing they had been duped, challenged me. Elsa used Perish Song, GG. Then we were ready to enter the Vast Poni Canyon!

Just wondering if my Leaf Green is ever going to be ticked off? It was my first completion (on page one of this thread) prior to Heart Gold or Emerald (but those two have both been marked off).

It's been almost a year since I finished this run, is there a reason it's not being marked off?

I've been very slowly updating it. Though with that specific post it should be marked already, I must have missed it. I'll update it next time I get the chance.

Ultra Sun Water Monotype - Update #5

Spoiler:
Upon entrance to Vast Poni Canyon, the very first trainer had a strong Beheeyem, and a Banette that got wrecked thanks to Perish Song. Soon after, we came to the Ace Duo who use the two Ice-type Alolan forms, but the joke was on them thanks to Drizzle. The next big trainer was one with a Kangaskhan that hit pretty hard with Dizzy Punch, but Finn's Counter handled her. We met with Lillie, who felt powerful herself, leaving Rotom to suggest us step up our game! I did skip a few trainers, but after trying unsuccessfully to find a good high level Corphish (and accidentally killing the one Level 37+ one I found), I decided I'd get back to it later because I wouldn't be using it against Kommo-o anyway. The last three trainers weren't that tough, amusingly after Cargo burned a Wailord, Elsa got her to 1 HP with Thunderbolt and she used Bounce only to die after springing up. xP Then it was trial time! The Jangmo-o and Hakamo-o were easy stuff, but then it was time for the Totem! I knew there was more than one way I could go about it.

The first try, Counter from Finn after narrowly under half came short of OHKO'ing it, and it called upon Scizor and ganged up on Antennae and Mutation to beat them both, but Amanzi was faster than Scizor, took a little less than 3/4 from Poison Jab, and finished it. I did reset when I knew I had it, though. The second try, Antennae took 2/3 from Thunder Punch and managed to use Bug Bite to rob it of its Roseli Berry, then it called upon Noivern. Then I brought in Elsa, and took 3/4 from Drain Punch, and used Perish Song… But then as soon as the animation was going, I was like "wait a minute…" And yep, it had Soundproof, which blocked Perish Song. But at least I got the Quick Claw, allowing me to slam Noivern with Ice Beam before Kommo-o finished me. I then brought in Amanzi, took over 2/3 from Poison Jab, and then OHKO'd with Choice Specs boosted Moonblast for the win.

With that, I got the Dragonium Z, and the trial had been completed. It was then time for me to catch a Corphish. I eventually caught one with a decent level + nature, and had to train it up. Along the way, I named it Ripple. I eventually got her to Level 49 along with Elsa and Finn, when I finally evolved her, and Cargo and Antennae to Level 50, and Amanzi to 51, then returned to the altar, where Lillie and Hapu were waiting for me. There was a bit of talk, and it was time for us to scale the altar and play the flutes to summon the legendary Pokemon! But Lusamine and Guzma were thrown out of the Ultra Wormhole, having been defeated by Necrozma! It then did battle with Solgaleo, and it won, and transformed into Dusk Mane Necrozma and started flooding the region with Ultra Beasts! It was time for us to stop it!

So I led with Ripple against it, and as it used Psycho Cut which failed, Night Slash didn't do much, around 1/4 or so. Then it used Sunsteel Strike, and scored a critical hit for almost 2/3 my health! Whoa, calm down there, bro! Crunch got it to 1/3 and got the Defense drop. It used Morning Sun, and was healed to 85% or so, but I used the Z-Move, Black Hole Eclipse, on base of Crunch, which finished it. But it wasn't done, and turned Poni Island into a shroud of night before disappearing! We then had to go through the Ultra Wormhole and to Ultra Space, and made our way to Ultra Megalopolis. They talked about Necrozma and its folklore, and left me with the burden of saving it. As I entered Megalo Tower, I watched Dusk Mane Necrozma transform into Ultra Necrozma!

I actually reset first try, I was guaranteed victory (it used Power Gem against Elsa, who had the Charti Berry, and I used Perish Song and had four Pokemon left) but it had OHKO'd both Amanzi and Antennae with Photon Geyser, so I wanted to see if it would use Power Gem against Antennae. Second try, it used Photon Geyser again, which OHKO'd. But the third try was the last. As the Totem Aura boosted all its stats, I led with Elsa, hoping that it would use Power Gem… But it saw through the bluff and used Photon Geyser!!! That's it, we los…oh, WAIT, I lived it with 7 HP?!?! That allowed me to use Perish Song, and then I used Protect to block a Power Gem and drop its perish count to two. I then switched Amanzi into a Power Gem that did slightly over half (and left me at 69 HP), then switched in Finn, who was OHKO'd by Photon Geyser, but the perish count fell to zero and it was no more.

As the world was bright again, the Ultra Recon Squad offered me Poipole, but I refused for now. We then made way back to Alola, and they looked forward to exploring Alola more, and Lusamine gave in and apologized to Lillie, who gave me the thanks. I then followed Mina back to Seafolk Village, made some adjustments to my team and was ready to battle her. I led with my own Bug-type, Antennae, as I thought she led with Ribombee, but nope! She led with Mawile, and got off an Intimidate before I switched to Cargo, who took a Play Rough for narrowly under half, and I lived a second with 8 HP, and got off Tailwind. Then Hydro Pump OHKO'd. Granbull was next and got off a pointless Intimidate, but I stayed in and OHKO'd that with a critical hit Hydro Pump that may have mattered? I don't know. But Ribombee was last, and I was STILL faster and OHKO'd that with Hydro Pump as well. DAMN. Then she gave me the Pink Petal and sent me off to get the other six!

We met with Hau and his Incineroar at Hau'oli Cemetery, where Ilima was. After a bit of talk about what his mother had done in the past, he challenged me to battle. I led with Ripple against his Gumshoos, and he used Hyper Fang for literally one point under half my health. Razor Shell did a little over 1/3 and even got the Defense drop. I lived another Hyper Fang with 5 HP, and thanks to the Defense drop, Crabhammer finished him. Komala was next and I switched over to Cargo, which got Drizzle going, and Wood Hammer did slightly over half. I used Tailwind to boost our Speed, and he wasted his Z-Move and KO'd me. I returned to Ripple despite her being all but dead, and he didn't use Sucker Punch, allowing me to make him a bust with the Z-Move on base of Crabhammer. Smeargle was last, and I switched Antennae into an Extreme Speed for a little over 1/4, then another one got me below half, but Scald OHKO'd.

With that, he redirected me to the next trial captain, who was Mallow at Lush Jungle. After I startled her and caused a bunch of Comfey and Fomantis to run away from her, she got pissed thanks to Lana's remarks and challenged me. I led with Ripple against her Trevenant, and Horn Leech got me just short of the red, while my Crunch did 92% or so to her. Then she finished me and was healed to 20% or so. I brought in Elsa and finished her with Ice Beam. Shiinotic came next, and I chose to stay in and use Protect (which I had earlier for Ultra Necrozma), and she used Spore, which made me glad I didn't attack right away. I decided to just sack Finn off, after she used Spore she OHKO'd me with Giga Drain. I then brought in Amanzi and used Moonblast, which did a little over 1/3, and her Giga Drain did less than half but healed her up. Moonblast got her below half and lowered her Special Attack, but she used Spore. As I snoozed, she used Giga Drain, which unfortunately scored a critical hit and finished me, healing her to around 70%. I had to use Antennae, and Leech Life did okay, getting her below half, while her Moonblast dealt a weak 1/5 my health. I juggled on whether to use the Z-Move or not, and ultimately decided to, with Savage Spin-Out, which finished her off. Tsareena was last, and I had to stay in. Trop Kick did over half my total health, but I used Lunge, which did less than half but it did lower her Attack. She used Trop Kick again and finished me. I brought in Cargo, who got off Drizzle, and she used the Z-Move, Bloom Doom, which with -1 did 88 of my 133 health. I used Scald, which did okay, and then she used Low Sweep for absolutely no reason, which dealt 1/3 my remaining health. Hydro Pump finished her, and she gave me the Green Petal and Lana gave me the Blue Petal. The three of us went to Kiawe's stay on Wela Volcano Park.

It was then time for Kiawe himself! I led with Ripple against his Arcanine, and Hyper Cutter blocked his Intimidate. Flare Blitz did over 1/3…and it burned me. REALLY?!?! Crabhammer got him into the red because of that. He was finished thanks to Flare Blitz recoil. Talonflame immediately finished me with Brave Bird, then I brought in Finn and took a Brave Bird for over half, and some recoil on his end, but Aqua Tail finished him. Marowak came and finished me with Shadow Bone, but I brought in Amanzi, got the Quick Claw and slammed him with Sparkling Aria. Hiker David didn't want to be left out of the fun though, and challenged me with his newly trained Magmar (why no Magmortar?), which was OHKO'd by Cargo. And I got the Red Petal. Next was Sophocles, who normally would be terrifying. But I challenged him anyway, and Finn absolutely demolished him. He gave me the Yellow Petal for my troubles. Then we went to Aether House, where Guzma thanked me, and Hau talked some joy into him, which allowed him to see things a different way. Then Nanu was inside and gave me the Purple Petal, so I had all seven of them. I returned to Mina's house, and with all seven petals in hand, we were able to summon Totem Ribombee!

I knew I had this battle as good as set because of Elsa with Perish Song, but I didn't do that right away because I wanted to gauge out how much damage it was capable of doing, for future reference for later runs. So I let everyone take some damage and took notes on that, but I reset after that was dealt with. Anyway, as the Totem Aura doubled all its stats, I led with Elsa, and it used Quiver Dance to boost its stats, which I wasn't thrilled about. Then it called…Pelipper? Really? I wanted it to call in Blissey so I could get lots of EXP from it... I used Protect to block its Bug Buzz, and Pelipper used Stockpile. I then switched Amanzi into a Bug Buzz that did less than 1/3 as Pelipper used Stockpile again. Then I brought in Antennae, who took 2/3 from +3 Bug Buzz, and Pelipper used Stockpile once more before Perish Song ended Ribombee. I then brought in Elsa, used Perish Song and there was nothing else to it from there. With that, I received the Fairium Z and was invited to Exeggutor Island for Hapu's grand trial! I quickly got Finn and Elsa to Level 51 since they were right on the edge of such, and returned to Exeggutor Island where Hapu was waiting. There really wasn't much to her, because Mono-Water, so I'm not going to waste time talking about her. I did multiple resets against her just to gauge out how much damage she could do, for future references. I got the Groundium Z from her, and that left one thing left: the Pokemon League.

Ultra Sun Water Monotype - Update #6 - Final Update*

Spoiler:
With Mount Lanakila in our sight, we headed up there, where Gladion came down the lift and wanted to offer us his thanks in battle! As that disco dance theme was fired up one last time, I led with Elsa against his Crobat, who used Acrobatics for unfortunately more than half, but Ice Beam with the Never-Melt Ice was thankfully an OHKO. Then Lucario finished her with Aura Sphere. Cargo had to 3HKO it thanks to a miss with Hydro Pump, then Zoroark came and wasted his Z-Move. Amanzi easily finished that and got in a Baby-Doll Eyes against Silvally, but even then Multi-Attack finished me. Ripple was able to survive a Multi-Attack with 1/5, and use Crunch for 1/3 or so. I sacked off Finn, Antennae took less than half, and finished him with the Z-Move. He then said that Lillie was out on Mahalo Trail, and gave me a PP Max for my troubles and declared that we aren't enemies anymore, hoping to see me again.

Then it was time for Mount Lanakila proper! The first trainer had a Malamar that dealt quite a bit of damage thanks to Contrary Superpower, but it did help that Finn got the Quick Claw against him. Soon after, we dealt with a Goodra that had some strong Attack and was bested by Finn's Counter after it was locked into Outrage. And there was a Relicanth that Finn OHKO'd with a critical hit. We also dealt with two Black Belts in a double battle, one used a Bewear that Finn barely lived Thrash from and was able to KO with Counter. The second one was a little more annoying, considering Finn missed with Aqua Tail against his Pangoro, but we managed. Later on there was a Veteran who was not hard at all for Amanzi, especially considering her Milotic used Blizzard against it instead of Hydro Pump, and missed twice. Things were going pretty good until the Veteran + Ace Trainer duo at the very end, who led with a Glalie with Freeze-Dry and a Vikavolt, and once the Vikavolt used Agility, they demolished me. But the second time, I led with Elsa and Antennae, and had the former use Perish Song to send the Vikavolt off, and the latter use Mirror Coat against Glalie's Freeze-Dry. The Veteran's Tyranitar was content on using Earthquake and not Rock-type attacks, and they did deal a decent round of damage but overall I managed. They stepped aside, allowing me to progress to the top of Mount Lanakila, and by extension, the Pokemon League.

After using the Move Relearner to get Hurricane on Cargo, I headed up the mountain to see Kukui, and watch a really cool scene with Amanzi coming out of his Poke Ball and looking happy and determined. But we weren't ready JUST yet - I trained Amanzi, Cargo and Antennae all to Level 55, and Finn, Elsa and Ripple to Level 54. Then I transferred my living Pokedex from my main copy to this game, allowing me to get the Shiny Charm, which I'll save for a specific purpose later. I also went to catch Solgaleo and Necrozma at Mahalo Trail and Mount Lanakila respectively, and then after some adjustments, it was time for the final fights! I began with Olivia, because Rock-type.

I began with Amanzi against Armaldo, and she used Crush Claw, which dealt a little less than half but lowered my Defense, while Sparkling Aria was an OHKO. Cradily was next, and hoping she would Stealth Rock, I chose to stay in and use Moonblast for around 1/3. But that was not the case, as she used Rock Tomb, which got me to 1/8. After over a minute of thinking of what to do, I brought in Antennae, who took an Energy Ball for a little over 1/4. Unfortunately, THEN was when she used Stealth Rock, while I used Lunge to get her to 1/4 or so. She didn't heal, and Energy Ball did 1/4 my health on the dot before Liquidation finished her. Gigalith was next, and she set up Sand Stream. I chose to stay in, and Liquidation did a little over half before she finished me with Stone Edge. I brought in Cargo next, who took some Stealth Rock damage, but Drizzle got rid of the sandstorm. Thankfully, Hydro Pump hit, allowing me to turn her into a bust. Lycanroc was next, and I decided to just sack off Cargo hoping she would use the Z-Move - and I was right, that is exactly what she did, which finished me. I then brought in Ripple, and after a bit of Stealth Rock damage, Stone Edge got me low, and Razor Shell…didn't finish her, even with the rain. Thankfully, she wasted her Full Restore, allowing me to use Crabhammer, which did OHKO this time. Probopass was last, and she was faster than me, and finished me with Power Gem, unfortunately. Finn was able to handle her from there, though.

I decided that I would take on Molayne next, because I felt that I had enough type advantages for him.

As he began with Klefki, I started with Antennae. He opened with a Reflect, as I started with an Infestation that barely scratched him, but started to take its toll. Then he set up Spikes, and I went for Liquidation, which dealt an okay hit, and even got the Defense drop. He then used a shameful Flash Cannon before another Liquidation got him…to 1 HP!!! I thought he would heal, but alas, he used Thunder Wave, paralyzing me before another Liquidation finished him. Magnezone was next, and Thunderbolt scored a critical hit that finished me before Reflect wore off. Come on, dude! I brought in Elsa, who took a bit of Spikes damage, then Thunderbolt KO'd. I brought in Cargo, and got off the Drizzle. I used Hurricane in the hopes of getting the confusion, but that was not the case, and Thunderbolt was an OHKO. I brought in Finn, and Tri Attack did less than half before Earthquake finished him. Metagross was next, and I had no choice but to stay in, and Zen Headbutt got me to 4 HP, but I used my Z-Move, Tectonic Rage, to OHKO him. Dugtrio was next and finished me with Earthquake. I brought in Ripple, took a bit of Spikes damage, and Earthquake did over half, but Razor Shell OHKO'd. Bisharp was last and finished me with X-Scissor, and I had just Amanzi left. Iron Head got me below 1/4, but no flinch, allowing me to OHKO him with Sparkling Aria and win.

Whew, that was brutal. That Magnezone was not a help. I decided that Acerola would be next, as I felt very prepared for her and it would hopefully be a good chance for Ripple to do something.

And she was who I led with against Banette, as she used Screech to half my Defense. Meanwhile, I OHKO'd her with Night Slash, which scored a critical hit. BOOM! Dhelmise was next, though, and I decided that Finn had done enough in the last two fights, so I sacrificed him to an Energy Ball, which OHKO'd. I brought in Elsa, and my Ice Beam did over half, but so did her Energy Ball. She didn't switch out, though, and the next shot was a 2HKO. Ripple grew to Level 55 along the way. Palossand was next, and I chose to stay in and use the Z-Move, Subzero Slammer, which got the OHKO. Froslass was next, and for that I switched out to Ripple again, as she used Shadow Ball for a little over 1/4, then she used Confuse Ray because that's what Froslass do, but I hit through it and OHKO'd her with Night Slash, without a critical hit. Drifblim was last, and for that I opted to stay in, as she used Amnesia. But I hit myself in confusion for around 1/6 my health. Then she used Ominous Wind, which scored a critical hit and got me JUST in the range where Aftermath would have finished me… Except even with a critical hit, Night Slash left her with a sliver. I switched back to Elsa, and she healed. Then she used Amnesia and was at +4, so my Ice Beam didn't do much at all. Then another Amnesia had her at +6. Ice Beam then left her at 2/3. She then used Focus Energy, joy. But I hit with Sing and put her to sleep, then I switched out for Antennae… But she used a Full Heal. Ominous Wind then scored a critical hit for a little over 1/4… And she got the boost. I used Infestation to start chipping away at her, and then she used Ominous Wind, which scored another critical hit for over half my remaining health, but I used Mirror Coat, which got her to the point where Infestation finished her off for the win.

That left just Kahili, and I knew she led with a dangerous threat, but most of the rest of her team shouldn't be as tough for mine. I then went in for it!

As she led off with Braviary, I began with Finn. Her Brave Bird did over 3/4 my health, and she took recoil damage, but Counter did her in. Mandibuzz was next, and she used Brave Bird to finish me. Knowing that Antennae would be dead weight here, I brought him in as she used Brave Bird again, which I actually survived with 20 HP. That allowed me to use Lunge, which lowered her Attack, yet I didn't even think that I had Liquidation which would've been much better. She had a little over half left, and used…Flatter? I hit through confusion and used Liquidation, which got her into the red. She healed, and I hit myself in confusion and was left with 4 HP. Then she finished me with Brave Bird. I then tried Ripple, and she used Flatter to confuse me, and I hit myself. Brave Bird did 1/3 my remaining health, and I hit myself again. Brave Bird left me with 21 HP, and I hit with Razor Shell, but for a light hit. She finished with Brave Bird and was right near half. I had to bring in Elsa, and she used Flatter, and I hit myself in confusion for a light hit, then her Brave Bird did less than 1/4 my remaining health before I hit and Ice Beam finished her. Hawlucha was next, though, so I switched in for Cargo, who took a Flying Press for a little over 1/4, then Poison Jab got me below half and poisoned me. At least Hurricane OHKO'd. Toucannon was next, and she used Beak Blast and finished me, but not without Hydro Pump doing 3/4 her health. I brought in Elsa again, and banking on her healing, I went for the Z-Move… She didn't heal, but used Screech, which missed. Subzero Slammer destroyed her. Oricorio was last, and I switched into Amanzi for that just because. She used Teeter Dance, then she used it again and I hit myself for 1/8. Air Slash caused me to flinch, and then got me into the red, but I hit through it and slammed her with Sparkling Aria, which also dealt a well-deserved critical hit that didn't matter, but served her right nonetheless.

With that, I had just one battle left, and I adjusted my team to prepare for it. A throne was sitting there, waiting for my arrival. It was Kukui… Or not! It was Hau! He was ready to give his everything for one last showdown!

This took a third try. First try, things started off promising, but then it came to Incineroar and Noivern left, and after Elsa missed with Hydro Pump which would have OHKO'd, Cargo got him to 1 HP and Amanzi was about to faint, so I reset. The battle sucked. It was just a terrible fight all-around. Second try, Antennae was about to OHKO his Raichu with Mirror Coat, but Thunderbolt got the paralysis and I got fully paralyzed. But I got it this time!

I began with Antennae against Raichu, who used Thunderbolt and got me into the red, but that allowed me to use Mirror Coat and get the OHKO. Crabominable was next, and used Power-Up Punch to finish me and get +1 Attack. Oh dear. I had to bring in Amanzi, who was brought into the red with Stone Edge, but Moonblast was an OHKO and got me to Level 56. Leafeon came after, and I had to sack off Ripple, who was 2HKO'd by Quick Attack followed by Leaf Blade (first try, Leaf Blade was an OHKO without a crit). I had to use Cargo, who triggered Drizzle, and Leaf Blade did 2/3 my health, but I used Tailwind to double my team's Speed before OHKO'ing him with Hurricane. Tauros came next, and after a pointless Intimidate, Hydro Pump got him into the red before Double-Edge finished me, and recoil got him even lower. I brought in Amanzi, banking on him healing, but he didn't, and the Tailwind petered out. I brought in Finn, THEN he healed, and Aqua Tail did over half. Double-Edge came short of activating my Iapapa Berry, and then Aqua Tail finished him. Incineroar was next, and Darkest Lariat finished me. I had just Elsa left, and Darkest Lariat did JUST under half, and Hydro Pump hit this time, and got a well-deserved OHKO just before the rain stopped. Noivern was last, and Dragon Pulse got me into the red, but Ice Beam got the OHKO and finished him for the win. Whew!

And with that, I had become the Champion. The credits passed, and with that, we had beaten the game!
