Finally getting back to my rock run and its going well.

Easily swept Giovanni in game corner and got Silph Scope.
Cleared pokemon Tower and got Poke Flute.
Made it to Fuchsia City and proceeded to the Safari zone.
Caught a lvl 25 rhyhorn and named it Tommy (felt like calling it Rocky but felt that was too corny but it made me think power rangers so Tommy).
Found the gold teeth and gave them to the warden for strength.
Went back to the Safari Zone cause I forgot surf.
Tried to beat Erika and failed... again (never ending critical hit bull****).
Started Silph Co. to get earthquake then left.
Started fighting dojo for training but left the final guy.
Struggled through Koga's gym because less than half of them actually have poison type pokemon instead of psychic types.
Beat Koga and gained the abilty to surf.
Went to Cinnabar island from Pallet town cause it was faster.
Got an Omanyte called Omar (Helix be praised) and an Aerodactyl called amber from the Fossil reviver guy.
Finally managed to beat Erika's Tangela and subsequently the rest of her team (she still had bull**** crits).
Finished fighting dojo because why not.
Grabbed Hitmonchan cause I felt like it.
Decided grinding will be easier with EXP All and started to grind captures currently at 25 (15 to 50 sucks).

Current Team:
Gene the Graveler lvl 42 strength, rock throw, earthquake, harden
Onyx the Onix lvl 38 dig, body slam, bind, rock throw
Tommy the Rhyhorn lvl 33 rock slide, earthquake, horn attack, stomp
Omar the Lor-Omanyte lvl 30 surf, withdraw, toxic, ice beam
Amber the Aerodactyl lvl 30 wing attack, rage, fly, swift
A bulbasaur cause I still need cut sometimes lvl unimportant cut, rest don't matter

Overall its going well and I really like how its progressing.

Pokemon Moon - Electric Type - Free mode
Log#1
Did the first rival battle, chose Rowlet, so Hau has the starter that's weakest to mine, as it was intended if you use a starter. Caught a Pichu and a Grubbin.
Returned to the festival and beat Hau again, now I'm at the professor's house.

Just a heads up I'm still doing my fire umc I believe I had fire red and crystal done and rn I have 3 in plat 2 in white and just started moon after trading my stuff to bank first
Guess I'll do it right
Name: MachoPony
Single/ultimate/free: ultimate
Games:fire red, crystal,emerald platinum, white, x,moon
Type:fire

Pokemon Moon Firemono update 1, Rawr kitteh time
Spoiler:
started, chose look, picked litten, was gonna name Kobashi like my incineroar i have for the battle tree (currently in bank) but it was female so named it Orchid instead (Black Orchid, Killer Instinct) went on beat Hau's rowlet easily with 2 embers, continued, fought hau again
VS Hau 2
Pichu took 2 embers, rowlet 1. took a thundershock, litten destroyed him
went on, beat down the trainer school peepz, got beat by the guy with alolan grimer through a combination of poison + a crit. came back to beat him the 2nd time, beat team skull out of the marina, fought Llima, and lost, twice. trained litten to level 14, and fought llima again, and lost again. taught litten work up also found an alolan grimer i was gonna KO for exp but then it healed itself with black sludge, i thought that could be useful later so i caught it, took the sludge and boxed it forever more.
VS Captain Llima (take 4)
after a work up, ember was 2hko on yungoos, he just leered twice. smeargle took an ember for just over half, tackled me for just over half, then died to a 2nd ember.

Update 2 anyone for roast Crab?
Spoiler:
Went onwards to verdant cavern, beat up team skull on the way in the berry fields, fire fang from litten 2hkod drowzee. in the cavern fire fang ohkod the rattatas and 2hkod raticate, then 2hkod team skull again. healed up for the big one
VS Totem Raticate
after a work up he used scary face, then called rattata, tail whip and focus energy from their side then fire fang took about half, took a bite and tackle crit then killed raticate with a 2nd fire fang, healed up and got critted by rattata again, healed up again this time didnt get critted, he hit me a 4th time again no crit, so i survived and a fire fang OHKOd
Orchid evolved to Torracat
went on, found lillie, hau wants to die again
VS Hau 3
Annoyingchu kept spamming play nice and growl so i couldnt get an atk boost with work up, finally he quick attacked so i got the boost then took another quick attck and OHKOd with fire fang, rowlet didnt even get a chance to move, fire fang was an instant OHKO
Went back to route 1, and up to Iki town
VS Hala
this scared me. worked up and got karate chopped, fire fang OHKOd mankey. makuhita hit fake out, then took over half with fire fang and decided to be annoying with sand attack, repeatedly (3 in total) i kept missing fire fang and he hit arm thrust, thankfully he only got 2 hits and i hit fire fang for the finish. crabrawler was his last poke and i healed up anticipating the z-move, took all out pummeling and then swung back with fire fang, ate a power up punch and healed, he hit pursuit, missed a fire fang and thnakfully he leered, missed again thank goodness he leered again, third time i finally hit fire fang for the KO

Update 3: one last small push before turning in
Spoiler:
took the boat to the next island after doing a lap of the first island with tauros for some items and a TM, went straight to route 4, got to paniola town
VS Hau
Work up, electro ball, quick attack, fire fang, ded pikachu. fire fang, ded dartrix

Went on past the ranch, got stoutland ride poke, went on up to route 5
VS Gladion
work up and fire fang took out zubat though did eat a crit wing attack, fire fang did just under half to null but null took me down to 5HP triggering blaze so a second fire fang finished it

Update 4: Most of the team together
Spoiler:
went on to brooklet hill, was dreading this
VS Totem Wishiwashi Take 1
scratch, growl, call ally, helping hand, scratch, water gun. ded torracat, helping hand, water gun, ded eevee

Went back and fought some previously skipped trainers, got Torment TM and had a brainwave. taught otrracat torment and confide in place of work up and lick,
VS Totem Wishwashi take 2
Confide, Growl, call ally, confide, aqua ring, growl, helping hand, confide, water gun. lived comfortably since totem was at -3, tormented it to stop consecutive water guns and it alternated growl and water gun, eventually it used soak and that was GG, now i RESIST its only attackking move. used a dire hit to make crits more frequent and healed when nessecary, after a heck of a lot of scratching totem wishiwashi was down leaving just the regular wishiwashi left, scratch, fein attack, scratch, feint attack, scratch critical hit GG.
Went on, fought with torracat at the battle royale dome, won fairly easily. went on to wela volcano park
after umpteen tries of multiple magby not getting in the ball, one of them SoSed a Magmar, i KOd the magby weakened the magmar and threw a great ball, caught Magmar saving me the trouble of friendshipping Magby
after umpteen more battles, finally found a cubone, caught it named Volcana, after umpteen salandits finally got a female, named it Stylin

Update 5: Out of the frying pan...
Spoiler:
Went on up to the top then back down for training, then up again to the trial
beat down alolan marowak with torracat and the hiker's magmar too
VS Totem Salazzle
cubone was first for some exp, switched for torracat took a flame burst and she summoned slaandit, hit confide then got taunted and tormented. hit bite then got toxic'd and venoshocked for big damage, fire fang took a good chunk and flinched sadly salandit finished torracat with venoshock, leave it to my own Salandit, took a flame burst then finished totem salazzle with dragon rage, salandit hit me with taunt then my salandit hit another dragon rage, took a venoshock and a final dragon rage took out the salandit
onwards to lush jungle, got the ingredients magmar beat up all the wild grass pokemon.
VS Totem Lurantis
magmar put up a hell of a fight taking just about half with flame burst (over with sunn yday) but it kept spamming synthesis with castform headbutting me to death adn eventually fell, salandit almost finished lurantis off but fking synthesis spam again. leave it to torracat to end the fight with a fire fang. another fire fang and a pair of bites took out castform

Let's try this!!

Forum User Name: Mochorro
Game(s): Yellow, Heart Gold, Sigma Σmerald, Platinum, White 2 (challenge mode, I want to die xD), X, Sun.
Pokémon Type: Fighting
Single/Ultimate/Free Mode?: Ultimate!!

Ok! I hope to be able to make this! Ultimate challenge is tough and will take long but it will be fun!

I already finished the Yellow one, that one wasn't too hard, though a bit surprising. This run was a bit risky because when I started it I didn't remember about Poliwrath and was pretty scared, when I found it was available I thought this could go well. I went with an overleveled Mankey and Primeape through the first part of the game, and then I got a Machop. I was worried about the Pokémon Tower but with Machoke and its Dig attack it was really easy. With Machoke and Primeape I went to Saffron City as soon as I could to get Hitmonlee, and finally with the Good Rod and a little bit of grinding in the Rock Tunnel I got Poliwrath. Poliwrath with Ice Beam and Surf made a lot of battles much easier, especially late in the game. I suffered a loss, to Koga and his Venomoth, it is level 50 and with Psychic it literally destroyed my team. He caught me off guard because I didn't remember he had those Pokémon in Yellow, I was expecting a relatively easy fight against Weezing or Grimer with Machoke's Dig, but it wasn't like that! I was lucky to make it in the second try, don't remember how but it was again pretty close. I have to say Sabrina was much easier than I thought, because her AI is a bit stupid and she didn't use many damaging moves, she spammed Reflect and the weak Psywave. I was expecting a very tough battle, the hardest of the game, but it certainly wasn't like that. The Alakazam that gave me trouble was Champion Blue's one. I don't know if this is valid or not but I just had my HM slave lv 8 Pikachu left and then he suddenly became stupid, didn't attack, and I could heal my whole dead team with Revives. Then I killed it and after that it was quite easy. If this way is not ok due to the use of the Pikachu I can challenge the E4 again xD. I guess I exploited a lot Yellow's horrible AI in this run, in FireRed or LeafGreen it could have gone much worse. Here is the final team:

Lv 55
Surf, Ice Beam, Submission, Hypnosis.

Lv 53
Mega Kick, Strength, Jump Kick, Hi Jump Kick.

Lv 53
Submission, Strength, Thunderbolt, Thrash.

Lv 54
Rock Slide, Earthquake, Submission, Body Slam.

HM Slaves: Pikachu (Flash), Charmander (Cut).

Now I'll go for Heart Gold. I'll do my best and try to beat Red there. Really want to see Heracross in action there, although first we will have another Poli friend! I picked Heart Gold because Mankey appears in this game and not in Silver.

EDIT: Decided to go for Heart Gold instead of Gold.

EDIT2: I read I can play hacks in these challenges, so I am changing Emerald to Sigma Σmerald, a hack based on Emerald!
Pokémon Trial Black will be coming soon! Explore Unova again in a challenging adventure with multitude of changes!

Hacks I support (I support most of them these are my favourite ones or ones I've put a lot of time on!):

Pokémon Victory Fire, Pokémon Snakewood, Pokémon Dark Energy, Pokémon Adventure: Red Story, Pokémon XG, Pokémon Gaia, and Pokémon Resolute Version.

Pokemon Moon Fire Monotype Update 7: Burnt out Motors
Spoiler:

Went to the Aether foundation
VS ???(Nihlego)
Alolan Marowak with bonemerang 2HKOd easily enough
went on to the next island, fought hau again
VS Hau
this was tough, i mean 2 fully evolved pokes and a mid level starter, yikes. anyway Marowak took a psychic and OHKOd with bonemerang, vaporeon was giving me trouble but torracat managed to use the confide + torment strategy that worked so well on totem wishiwashi to eventually beat it. dartrix was free exp for salandit. (god when i get torkoal that drought will be super helpful)
went on to Malie park, met kukui again, beat some team skull grunts off a bus stop and got up to the observatory fought Molayne outside
VS Molayne
Free exp for salandit on skarmory, magmar dodged a metal claw (he has mud bomb why didnt he use it?) from Dugtrio and KOd back with fire punch before 2HKOing metang with fire punch
went inside, beat up the grubbin and charjabugs with salandit
VS Totem Vikavolt
Salandit knew toxic by this point and thats gg. slapped toxic, took a spark, he called a charjabug, switched for marowak, took a spark, cursed body disabled it, got paralysed by thunder wave. after that it kept spamming charge while charjabug kepts spamming mud slap, rock tomb x2 (one crit) + toxic damage took Vikavolt out, after missing a rock tomb i switched for magmar, took a mud slap, missed fire punch, got thunder waved, 2nd Fire Punch took it out though (its so slow, i outsped it while paralyzed)

Update: Ghots might not be flammable, but a spinning Lariat does the trick
Spoiler:

Went down the mountain, beat all the trainers, went back up, struggled with the Veteran and his absol (yeah i cant use Z moves but the AI can, fair and balanced amirite) foddered Marowak since it couldnt take a night slash anyway, fire fang from torracat crit + burn was nice, took just over half, lived a crit night slash, burn took a bit off then another fire fang finished, got snarl. could be useful on incineroar later if i need to use the confide strategy again since its basically damaging confide.
went down the mountain, salandit evolved into Salazzle, got to the garden again
VS Ya Boi
Magmar got outsped and smashed with razor shell at least flame body burned golisopod, sent in salazzle, flame burst did a lot of damage and forced the emergency exit, ariados came in and i set up some nasty plots, flame burst took it out then another took out golisopod
went towards aether building, bypassing the hill where torkoal is like a moron, doubled back before the trial and caught Tetsudo the Torkoal, showed how badass Drought is by having torkoal single handedly take down a fisherman with a gyarados. on a route thats usually permanent rain. Torkoal took out most of the ghosts in the supermarket
VS Totem Dollar Store Pikachu
Incineroar wouldve destroyed him if not for the freaking haunter never missing hypnosis, managed to torment him and get a bulk up, sadly he mimiced torment so i couldnt bulk up again, eventually (and i do mean eventually) after like 5 hyper potions haunter missed hypnosis and i broke the disguise with darkest lariat, haunter missed again and i got another bulk up then dodged a 3rd hypnosis to take out mimikyu with a darkest lariat. haunter went for night shade and then ate a darkest lariat for the KO

The Ultimate Monotype Challenge!

2. Pokémon HeartGold Water Fighting Monotype update 1!

Ok, I started the run! Fighting-types appear quite late in this game (you need the Old Rod to get a Poliwag, which is quite rare, and you don't get the Old Rod until you reach the Pokémon Center near Union Cave). So, I picked Cyndaquil and went as fast as I could through the Bellsprout Tower and the first Gym, then I reached the Pokémon Center at Route 32 to get the Old Rod. Then I backtracked to Route 31 and fished for a while (thankfully not for too long!) until I got a lv 10 Poliwag! I caught it, and it now follows me everywhere. I battled all the trainers I had left behind (some fishermen), which were quite tough because I only had Bubble until at level 11 Poliwag learnt Water Gun. We suffered our first loss to the Fisherman with Goldeen. I was not doing enough damage and it kept using Leer until it ended killing me with Peck when I only needed one more attack to finish it off. I got a Shell Bell, equipped it to Poliwag, and went through Union Cave quite easily (the trainer with Slowpoke was a bit hard but my Poliwag had already learnt DoubleSlap, which made it a bit easier.) I ended up reaching Route 33 and Azalea Town. I am closer to getting Heracross, but until that, things are gonna be pretty tough... I hope that Poliwag can beat Bugsy and the rival all by himself (I didn't think about this, but thankfully he doesn't have Bayleef!)

Current Team:

Lv 16 Poliwag (Shell Bell). Hardy Nature. Male. Water Gun, DoubleSlap, Hypnosis, Bubble.

Number of Badges: 1.

Current Location: Azalea Town.

Number of losses: 1.
Pokémon Trial Black will be coming soon! Explore Unova again in a challenging adventure with multitude of changes!

Hacks I support (I support most of them these are my favourite ones or ones I've put a lot of time on!):

The Ultimate Monotype Challenge!

2. Pokémon HeartGold Fighting Monotype update 2!

Last time I stopped playing at Azalea Town and now my Poliwag has destroyed Team Rocket there, reaching level 20! But then...

Just 2 words. F*** Bugsy. My Poliwag suffered loss after loss to his Scyther. I don't have to explain many things, just look at this:

The picture says it all... I use my X Accuracy (for Hypnosis), and my X Defense (although he negates it with Leer...) His U-turn does insane damage, and Leer and specially Focus Energy make it extremely dangerous (a crit is a one-hit ko). I try to force him to use his Super Potion on Metapod or Kakuna and set up the rain against those. Though it's no use, and as I lose these items I have no choice but to reset after the battle to keep them. I learnt, though, that Poliwag learns Body Slam at lv 21, so maybe I have a chance with that move, Water Gun is weak, even with Rain up... Will tell later today how the fight went!

Current Team:

Lv 20 Poliwag (Shell Bell). Hardy Nature. Male. Water Gun, DoubleSlap, Hypnosis, Rain Dance.

Number of Badges: 1.

Current Location: Azalea Town.

The Ultimate Monotype Challenge!

2. Pokmon HeartGold Fighting Monotype update No. 3!

I finally made it! I beat that Scyther! Grinding just one more level made things much easier, with Body Slam Poliwag koed the Scyther in 4 hits (factoring Sitrus Berry recovery), and it also Paralyzed him. After a Leer his U-turn left me with 3 HP so there was a scary moment there, but I could heal comfortably against Metapod and after that I won quite easily. After this battle, the rival was no match for my lv 22 Poliwag with Body Slam, Croconaw just fell very easily, and Zubat and Gastly didn't do anyhing theatening. Next up was Ilex Forest, where I finally got Headbutt to catch Heracross... and I suffered my 8th loss in the run (what an awful number for so early in the game...)

I was having fun before backtracking to get Heracross, catching a few Pokmon using Headbutt, one of them was a Pineco, only a Lv 6 Pineco. You know now what happened, right? My Poliwag had almost full health, but Pineco used Selfdestruct... and it was a critical hit. I couldn't believe it. One more loss, and quite a stupid one... Well, I went back to Route 33 to get a lv 4 Heracross there. It was Brave, a decent nature as it will be very strong but not very fast. I grinded it a bit through Ilex Forest and Route 34. Heracross is proving to be an outstanding Pokmon, even with only Horn Attack it deals a lot of damage. I caught the Drowzee needed to get Machop at Goldenrod. That's the first thing I did there, I went to the department store to do the trade. I don't know if it is a set nature or not but I can say Lonely is quite decent for a Machop (+Atk). And after getting a few items in Goldenrod, I stopped playing. Now I have to level up a bit the Machop and the Heracross, exploring every possible place before battling Whitney, which I honestly expect to be quite easy. I guess from now on the game will become quite easier, with Heracross and Machop helping Poliwag. I guess (or rather, I hope!) my number of losses won't go up for quite a bit of time. It has been quite challenging and interesting going with Poliwag alone through some tough battles, though!

Current Team:

Spoiler:
Lv 23 (M) @ Shell Bell.
Hardy Nature. Water Gun, Body Slam, Hypnosis, Rain Dance.

Lv 13 (F) @ Nothing.
Brave Nature. Horn Attack, Aerial Ace, Tackle, Endure.

Lv 12 (F) @ Nothing.
Lonely nature. Low Kick, Leer, Focus Energy, Karate Chop.

EDIT: 2. Pokmon HeartGold Fighting Monotype update No. 4!

As I suspected, with Heracross and Machop the game became much easier, I have everything much more under control. Heracross is... a bit broken. It learnt Brick Break battling the trainers at the National Park and route 35, at lv 19, and with that move Whitney was extremely easy. Her Miltank made it flinch twice with Stomp, but Brick Break left her in red and the Super Potion didn't heal enough, with one more hit she fell! So I got my third badge! Next up was Ecruteak City. The first thing I did there was getting the HM 03 Surf for Poliwag and the Dowsing Machine, and then went east to Route 42, getting HM 04 Strength and a TM containing Shadow Claw and going through Mt. Mortar to get a Mankey outside. I also reached Mahogany Town, but just to make it flyable to, I didn't explore it. The Mankey was lv 15 and Naughty, a quite decent nature. I taught my team some moves like Payback for Machop, U-turn for Mankey and Shadow Claw for Heracross using TMs. Then I began using Mankey, and also beat the rival easily at the Burned Tower.

With Heracross and its Shadow Claw, Morty was quite the joke to be honest; only Gengar survived. He put me to Sleep and hit me with Shadow Ball but I woke up early and easily killed him. So now I have 4 badges! Also Poliwag has evolved into Poliwhirl! Time to go west to Route 37, using Mankey as it is a bit weaker than the rest!

Current Team:

Spoiler:
Lv 25 (M) @ Shell Bell.
Hardy Nature. Surf, Body Slam, Hypnosis, Rain Dance.

Lv 25 (F) @ Nothing.
Brave Nature. Brick Break, Horn Attack, Aerial Ace, Shadow Claw.

Lv 25 (F) @ Quick Claw.
Lonely nature. Karate Chop, Payback, Vital Throw, Strength.

Lv 21 (F) @ Nothing.
Naughty nature. Strength, U-turn, Dig, Karate Chop.

HM Slaves: Aipom and Slowpoke.

Kanto Monotype Gauntlet - Water Type Update #2
(completed : Fire, Normal)

Since I last left off, I have been grinding my way through Kanto, and rather than taking you through all the normal plotlines everyone experiences in their games, ill take you through my personal ones that make this playthrough unique

- I evolved my Squirtle in route 3 to a Wartortle
-I grinded the heck out of every trainer so that I could have a Blastoise before the Rival fight on the SS Anne
- I solo'd the game until Celadon City where I picked up a Vaporeon
-Vaporeon and Blastoise tore through everything until i got the pokeflute and the Super Rod, where I caught a Poliwhirl and a Staryu
- I have been taking out the trainers in the post-snorlax routes, and have been grinding my new team members up to an acceptable level.

Team

Level 43
- Surf
- Bite
- Mega Punch
- Mega Kick

Vaporeon

Wow you really leveled up that Blastoise, it's going to make the game easy! By the way, is it Lapras the other Pokmon you plan to add? ;) Anyways, here comes another update!

The Ultimate Monotype Challenge!

2. Pokmon HeartGold Fighting Monotype update No. 5!

I left last time I updated at Route 37, but I realized I could use Surf in the overworld now, and decided to explore the world using it! I have done a lot of backtracking, beating trainers at Route 34 for a Power Herb, surfing in Cherrygrove to get some Mystic Water for Poliwhirl, clearing the 4 Ruins of Alph puzzles... I even set my feet in Kanto! By the way, I almost caught Entei, an Ultra Ball span 3 times! I had a few tough battles at the Ruins, with a quite strong Girafarig for my team and a few Selfdestructing Geodudes on my way there through Union Cave. I also got the TM for Drain Punch, but for now I keep it, I don't know who I will be teaching it to; and a Silk Scarf from my mother which was given to Primeape. After all of this, I kept going and reached Olivine City, where in the Lighthouse I got 2 evolutions! Mankey became Primeape and Machop Machoke! Now Jasmine told me to look for medicine for Ampharos, and that is the next thing to do! By the way I plan to evolve Machoke when it reaches lv 40.

Current Team:

Spoiler:
Lv 28 (M) @ Mystic Water.
Hardy Nature. Surf, Body Slam, Hypnosis, Rain Dance.

Lv 28 (F) @ Shell Bell.
Brave Nature. Brick Break, Horn Attack, Aerial Ace, Shadow Claw.

Lv 28 (F) @ Quick Claw.
Lonely nature. Karate Chop, Payback, Vital Throw, Strength.

Lv 28 (F) @ Silk Scarf.
Naughty nature. Strength, U-turn, Dig, Karate Chop.

HM Slaves: Aipom and Slowpoke.
