Well they apparently don't make contacts strong enough for my prescription or something like that so I don't have the choice. I wouldn't go with contacts anyway though, the thought of putting them in and taking them out repulses me.

My glasses make my eyes so much smaller than they really are because of the strong prescription. On top of that, I don't like the feeling of glasses on my face... so I put contacts in every day!
It's the opposite for me! I always felt like glasses made my eyes bigger (or at least more prominent on my face bc they're framed and whatnot, but I know stronger prescriptions do tend to shrink your eyes)

That aside, I just never had the patience to learn how to put in contacts properly so I just wear glasses all the time. I know it gets easier with practice but the one time I tried it took me like an hour to get them in, lol.

Legit question: have any of you who have contacts ever got them stuck in your eye before? That's the one thing I'm terrified about.

I've been wearing them for over 6 years and one of its main occurance is when you are sleeping with them for a while (which has happened to me a few times). Luckily, it's pretty easy to relocate them by blinking but it's highly preferred to take them out before sleeping/napping.

I'm actually glad I wear contacts instead of glasses. When I was a kid, I never squirmed when I touched my eyeball and since I looked a lot better without glasses, I've made that decision to get them. It was definitely a huge struggle with getting them in and taking them out at first but it's a lot easier once you make it a routine. The only downside to contacts is that you have to replace them every month and that can get pricey.

I still wear my glasses but only for specific events like going swimming, waking up early to do something and then sleep, and flying on an airplane. Other than that, it's all about them contacts!

Glasses are hot! I only wear them when reading, but I'd probably prefer having several stylish pairs to choose from and make it a cool thing, rather than poking inside my eyes every day.

really afraid of touching my eye or putting anything into it so glasses are an absolute winner for me.

Glasses all the way because while I've had a chance to wear contacts (though way before my vision got worse, so I'm not sure about now), I just can't do it. I shudder at the thought of having to touch my eyes that much.

The glasses will do just fine, thank you much.

Glasses. The thought of having to stick something in my eyes makes me cringe, and glasses come in enough different looks to cater to my preferences. I think they're cute!!

My preference is glasses.
  • It's an awesome accessory, and it comes with a lot of culture and personality: a lot like the rest of our clothes.
  • Contacts creep me out. (Actually I was hearing a lot of that on this thread. Glad I ain't the only one reasonably afeard of them.)
  • Tbh, the wife of one of my bosses said I look like Elvis Costello with glasses on. So I'm dedicated to rocking that look. ^~^

Glasses

I couldn't go with putting contacts on my eyes everyday without the fear of damaging my eyes.

Joining the glasses club.

Even though I'm always having to push my glasses up to my face like every other minute, I'd much prefer doing that than having to take five minutes out of my day to put contacts in and take them out of my eyes, in addition to having to use eye drops. Plus my eyes don't like coming into contact (no pun intended) with any surface, so it'd be difficult for me to even try to put a lens in my eye D:
