yeah i feel uncomfortable saying it, but that's probably because it's not a term I use all that often. My friends and family know I love them so it's kinda like I don't see the point in saying it on a regular basis?

My family never told each other "i love you" out straight. So that still feels very special and slightly weird to tell them.

But I tell my friends when I really want them to know that they mean a lot to me, and I tell my boyfriend on a daily basis (:

I used it when I thought I loved someone. T'was my first "love". Rushed and waaay too clingy.

I've never used the phrase seriously in about 8 years now. I guess because of that it would be weird for me to start telling my family I love them. They've come to associate me as the cold, distant one in the family.

I somewhat despise being soppy now.

To loved ones, including friends, family, and the special someone. Maybe I toss it around a little too much, but each time I say it I always do mean it, so it's not that much of a problem. o:

But I mainly say it to my dearest of course, probably every night. <33

probably a little too comfortable using it honestly - i sleep casual 'ily's into casual conversation with strangers online daily and offline i'm v comfortable just saying 'i love you!' out loud when someone does smth that makes me happy. of course the meaningful 'i love you's are reserved for close friends and family but even then i don't feel uncomfortable saying it at all.

I only say it to really close members of my family, and that's it really, I just feel it would be awkward saying it to anyone else.

I say it fairly often, I suppose. But I make sure that it's sincere, otherwise there's no point. I mostly have to spam it towards my family, though. I don't think that it needs to be stated to my family, but they get butthurt when I don't so I toss one their way to appease them.

i say it way too often online with a majority of my friends. in person i only say it with my family, though. when i was younger and immature in relationships i'd drop it way too soon, but i've learned now it takes time before you say those 3 words. i'm still single however so i haven't really said it romantically in months but i don't mind, i honestly like being single for right now.

find it very hard to say to family since ~pre-existing troubles in that regard~, i don't want to say it unless i think it is reciprocated and i feel genuine, instead of saying it to try reassure myself about things. there are a lot of things i haven't quite worked out and a lot of things i have to forgive first.

i find it a lot easier to say so to friends and tend to be quite liberal with the words, as i wholly trust those i call my friends and have no reason not to be emotionally available for them.

I grew up very affectionate so I tend to overuse the phrase with family and close friends. I'm sure I've made a few people a little uncomfortable with my liberal use of the words :P Generally you'll be able to tell how much meaning I put into it when I say it, based on the context and tone of my voice.

I usually say it a lot to my bf on a daily basis. I get really uncomfortable saying it to family & friends though. Sometimes, I do say it around my friends... but I'll be like "love ya but not like that". XD

Hmm, I can probably count the number of times I've said "I love you" in the past five years on one hand and I'm pretty sure all of those times have been me just teasing someone. Even online, I hate saying it. Makes me feel uncomfortable.
