ive tried many times to compile both Awesome Map Editor and Awesome Script editor.
I downloaded the source folders off of github. i dont know how to compile the files from that point. i have looked around for a more detailed guide or video but ive had no luck finding anything. is it really that simple? github is a little confusing at the moment, but i do atleast understand how it works to some degree.
if anyone could please assist me in compiling these programs it would be greatly appreciated.

Just wanna tell you one thing,
If the tool has even been released there you can find ready-to-use version but as far as i know about ame, its not released yet... if you are trying to compile to help the creator to inform about bugs then it can be done by reading the files in github else if you are trying to use it for your hack then its not yet available...
Dont know about ase though...

Just really want to tinker around with them. I had an idea for a program similar to ASE. And id gladly report any bugs i find. I dont understand some steps in the instructions, like how to set dependences. Normally i have no problems learning how to do something on a computer, but im really struggling with this whole compile from source folder thing.

Hey aMammoth,

as I am one of the creators of AME and ASE, I could help you easily if you described your problem more precisely. What exactly isn't working? Did you make sure to install QtCreator with Qt 5.7.0 and MInGW options checked in the installer?

Thanks for your interest in AME and ASE and best regards!

i appreciate the response! finally getting around to checking the forum.
i was attempting to compile it with Qt 5.6.2 MinGW 32bit, but downloading 5.7 version now.
im new to the whole compiling thing and ive noticed alot of the readme's on github tend to give a minimal amount of detail in the directions.
AME
building QBoy i get 4 warnings , but im unsure whether or not they matter
YAML-cpp builds fine with no issues
AME almost finishes but throws errors involving not being able to find lYAML-cpp, lQboy

ASE im not sure how to go about building it at all because there was no readme last i checked. not sure if that is intentional or not though
