I've wanted to cut down my phone usage just to experience this a bit more. There's so much in the world and I'm tired of looking for my entertainment in that square thing when I could just look around and experience what this world has to offer.
So no, definitely not to that extent. But I've been hungering after it more and more these days. I wish I could get the time and lack of responsibility to go to a park, lie down in the grass, and watch the clouds roll on the blue canvas. The Netherlands is a bit of a meh place to experience breathtaking nature, you have to look a bit harder for it. I live in an urban area so that makes it even harder to enjoy every day nature. I've noticed I've been less grounded like this since the mini forest in front of my house has been removed over a year ago. Being greeted by large trees every day made me feel very close to nature; even if I didn't visit those woods as much as I did when I was younger, I welcomed the serene feeling it gave me. I miss that a lot.
The only thing that reguarly gives me this feeling nowadays is the sound of birds chirping (which has unfortunately also decreased since the woods disappeared). I want to live close by nature someday, whether it's the sea or a forest.
