Things have been pretty good so far, for the most part, but it's still quite early days (we've been with eachother for just over 3 months).

We were work colleagues a couple of years ago, but at the time she had a boyfriend. She left, but we kept in contact, and then shortly after the New Year she got in touch about wanting to meet up and do something together. We did, and that was pretty much that.

Having never really been in a serious relationship before (all my previous 'relationships' barely lasted a few weeks), i'm trying my hardest to make sure I don't f*ck this one up. So far, so good, I guess!

I'm married to my partner of 7 years. I met him in a random chance meeting outside a nightclub at 2am and the rest is history. We have had more than our share of ups and downs along the way but we are both now very different people than we started out. We got married in October last year.

Was new to Houston, it was my first weekend on my own. Decided to meet up with a group of friends whom I had contact with on facebook. Met up with them at the mall in downtown, which included him. We both started talking about our common interests, and we talked about ourselves which we instantly clicked. A week later we met up again, we exchanged phone numbers. He didn't know that I was seeing someone else at the time (he who must not be named), and I wasn't aware that he was seeking a relationship with me so I was trying to stick to being friends with him for now. After I got dumped by you-know-who, I fell into a deep depression and he wanted to see how I was doing. He knew what was happening, and found out I had skipped class, so he went to my place to cheer me up. While he was still trying to pursue my heart, I told him that I needed time to recover.

That took me two weeks. I felt better (not fully healed). He and I kept exchanging text messages during those two weeks, keeping myself company while I was at work and school. He became my go-to friend. I still was unsure whether I want to go back out there and find another date. Then later on, I realized I wasn't ready. He insisted that I should hang out with him just to "finally let loose" but I still wasn't ready, and I had school and work to deal with. When May came around, I finally had a weekend off, and I told him about it. My confidence was fully healed and once he asked me if he wanted to go "hang out", I immediately said yes.

He took me for a drive all over the city of Houston, then we stopped at a cool tex-mex restaurant (which to this day, has a special place in our hearts), and saw Avengers: Age of Ultron. Our first kiss was during the credits of the movie on Midnight.

It was pretty cool, made me happier than I was a few weeks back. He tried everything he could to be sure I was alright. Had I not dated that other guy, we would have started going out earlier. We're now heading two years next month, and I couldn't be happier.

3 years with my partner.

We met at a movie drive-in where we both worked at. A coworker and I both liked her, and he ended up making the first move on her asking for her cell number. She gave it to him and I couldn't ask her number cause he beat me to it. Little did I know though, that later that night she had asked him for my number and we had hit it off from there. Universe was aligned for my benefit I suppose.

Three years later, we're still going strong - both just graduated from university and we moved to Chicago moving in together. If everything continues to go well, I'm going to ask her to marry me. Fingers crossed!

It was a suggestion for the wedding but no...
Well it wasn't exactly love at first sight, I had no way of knowing he would be the one I end up with. Everything after that just happened organically.
