have you been nicknaming your magikarps?

My Shiny Magikarp have very special/meanigful names!
All my Calico are named "Magi [x]" with the [x] being their numbers (Ex Magi IV). In honor of Magi, the first fallen Magikarp.
All my Orange two-tones are named after Japanese food, because I named my first one "Sushi".
I also got a Pink two-tone that I called Rose, so I think I'm going to call them flower names!

I nickname them all sorts of random things, just based on whatever I'm thinking about at the moment. My current karp has a pretty lame bonus (+20% Training JP), so I named it Ash Ketchum. Then I realized it's a girl...and laughed. Other named include Fool's Gold, Tina, Karpette, Flopsy, Mopsy, Karpentail, Karpe Diem, Matsuri, and the list goes on. It keeps it entertaining when they swim by in the background.
 
I've kept a naming scheme of bee

Maybee, Lady, Rabi, etc. The one I didn't name with that scheme I purposely got taken away with a pidgeotto because pffft getting 20% more jp from training with no pattern, what a weakling. ;p I did name it, but I can't figure out where to see past karps so I can't remember.
 
Have done it for some. Random names either to do with its appearance or individual boost usually. Also went Karpador for the first one as I love the German name for Magikarp.

(Incidentally, 'Chump Change' was not allowed).
 
I nickname mine based on their pattern.

For example all my orange patterned are nicknames based on "Oran", as my first was Oran, second was Oranjiro, ect. Calico patterns usually get a "Cali" style or themed nickname.

Goldie is my only gold one, and further Gold karps are based on that.

If the pattern doesn't merit it's own nickname; I can derive a nickname based on Individual Attributes. For example my Gyrados'd karp was named Morbucks for having a sweet 90% coin bonus.
 
Idk where these names come from but my friends and I are all doing name patterns for our Karps.

Mine are all [something] L (because these Karps basically take an automatic L for being trained by me)

So far I've made names such as Dankest L, Thiccest L, Russ L (named after my friend), Kindest L, etc.

Don't ask why I'm like this, I've been asking myself that same question for years now and I still don't know.
 
I named my third one Sam after someone that my family knew that passed away last week, but otherwise I haven't been using nicknames.
 
I have never nicknamed my Magikarps. They're gonna be gone in a little bit, so why should I?
