Changing the view radius to 0 simply disables the NPCs
ACTIVELY battling the player, but they still battle the player when talked to. I think the thread opener wants the NPCs to do something like
RUNNING AWAY or
PUSHING THE PLAYER AWAY when the player steps into their sight
WITHOUT HAVING TO TALK TO THEM.
