So basically, I have a different starting house that I've made, and I copied Red's room exactly. Starting in that room is fine, but once I go downstairs and then back up, it's black.

There's these two map scripts:

and when removing them, it doesn't go black? Do I need them? Is there a way to fix it? Do I need to just copy the scripts with different offsets?

Also, even though I changed it, the Viridian Forest image still appears when going downstairs. The house is in the forest.

Follow the instructions in the Level Script part of this tutorial and replace any #raw word 0xFFFF with 0x0.

About the forest image, I think it's supposed to show for any map with the "Viridian Forest" name, or whatever you change it to.
