The sun was shining, bird where ... oh wait no, there is no birds at this time of the year! The temperature was minus 31 Celsius this morning. I think it was the reason why Pokémon Go fell like telling me to be aware of the extreme conditions outside. The thing I was wondering is pretty simple : is there a Pokémon type that is increased in case of extreme condition or do they nerf the spawn rate to be sure you don't risk your life playing Pokémon Go? Thanks!

We are having a snow storm and have the Extreme exclamation point symbol under the weather.

It is snowing in the game though from what I can tell ice and steel pokemon don't have an increased spawnrate and the ice and metal type moves don't have extra power.

Kind of sucks since I could be sitting inside catching metal types. Though I am low on Pokeballs and can't get to a pokestop to get more right now so it's probably a good thing. Granted even when I do have the snowman symbol I don't see any ice or metal types spawning.
