Today was the first day I was able to actually go walking around hunting for pokemon since the weather update... but I had to cut my poke-hunting short because I unexpectedly hit my data limit. A session that normally would've used around 5mb suddenly used 30!

Has anyone else noticed a massive jump in data use? Any ideas for reducing it? I only get 50mb/month (unless/until I can find a provider that offers more for the same as what I'm paying now), so this may very well be the end of pokemon go for me if less than an hour of play is going to use over half my data for the month :/

Do you have LTE activated? If you have your LTE on, you will use data faster than if you did not. Just some advice.
“In great deeds, something abides. On great fields, something stays. Forms change and pass; bodies disappear; but spirits linger, to consecrate ground for the vision-place of souls… generations that know us not and that we know not of, heart-drawn to see where and by whom great things were suffered and done for them, shall come to this deathless field, to ponder and dream; and lo! the shadow of a mighty presence shall wrap them in its bosom, and the power of the vision pass into their souls.”

I'll see what happens when I switch to a slower data type (next month, when I have data again. Of course by then, maybe there will be a fix out. Might be too much to hope for). I doubt just switching data types is going to make a significant enough difference unfortunately
