Hello Rio_4, my name is mewthree w/armor and I own Seafoam Island (sivph.com). Even though I have not made an RPG, I have hosted two of them and generally know a decent amount about the scene. I can tell you out of the mainstream there is at least 1 RPG running (Pokemasters RPG), one ready to open (PikaClub), and one down that I host due to some issues (Pokemon Playground Arena). There are a few probably hidden in the mess to being worked on. All those are all PHP based, etc, etc. Now there are also tons of forum based ones I will not even discuss due to them now being obsolete. I am not giving URLs as I am unsure of forum rules.

Here are some tidbits I will pass on to you about RPGs.
1. They are system resource hogs (Reason that I booted off Pokemasters RPG) and will abuse your allowed server resources, I.E. they tend to eat bandwidth and cause mysql problems (Current problems with Pokemon Playground).
1a. From above, plan to invest in some decent either high grade shared or semi-dedicated hosting.
2. If youre not a coding expert or better, stop now and do not reveal your RPG till you are. Also you need to have a knowledge PHP capable staff to search for errors.
3. You will be the target of crackers, hackers, and bastards. Be forewarned. Every SOB with a chip on there shoulders and basic knowledge of anything will be all over your ***.

Thats all I got, if you want to contact me over IM I can give you URL's and put you in contact with more knowledgeable people.

TPPC is also running, and I've seen a new one that is just opening.

"One reason why mathematics enjoys special esteem, above all other sciences, is that its laws are absolutely certain and indisputable, while those of other sciences are to some extent debatable and in constant danger of being overthrown by newly discovered facts."
Albert Einstein

"What science can there be more noble, more excellent, more useful for men, more admirably high and demonstrative than mathematics."
Benjamin Franklin

"Mathematics, rightly viewed, possesses not only truth, but supreme beauty – a beauty cold and austere, like that of sculpture, without appeal to any part of our weaker nature, without the gorgeous trappings of paintings or music, yet sublimely pure and capable of a stern perfection such as only the greatest art can show."

ANNOY ME AT YOUR PERIL. I am becoming increasingly tired of the unmanly elitism and closed-mindedness of certain members who shall remain unnamed.

TPPC is the biggest one I know of: www.tppcrpg.net It's pretty good too.
