I've been working on a trainer battle in the Emerald rom I'm messing around with however the script isn't functioning as I would like, if someone could help I would be very grateful. Here is the script:

Everything works fine as far as the battle is concerned and the sprite fading afterwards, however upon initiating the battle there are some issues; the intro music does not play, the before message and text box in general does not appear. Thanks in advance if anyone knows where I've gone wrong.
