I found that the Action Replay worked a lot better than the Gameshark. Also, I think the Gameshark has a higher chance of messing up your games (though I don't know that for sure).

Gameshark is a dying company. Though they did release new units, i heard their license was being bought out by Action Replay. So its basically the same product, but Action Replay is the newer product that will be more compatible and will have more codes available for it in the future. Of course you could get a Gameshark and update it into an Action Replay later, but mayaswell just get the AR in the first place.

Ummm...try neither! Play your games the right way or don't play 'em. Cheatings really not all it's hyped up to be, and anyways, it ruins the fun x.x;;

BTW- I assume you're talking about the GBA version...?
Look at it thise way. I bought Ruby for 35 dollars and I beat it. I want more out of my game. GameFreak didn't announce cheats for it so you're on your own. So what do I do to get more fun out of my game? I use AR, loads of fun to play around with. But I agree, it ruins a bit of the fun. But who wants to sit on their couch all day playing pokemon training somthing that isn't real, when you could do it in 1 second and be outside doing somthing else. I'd only agree on what you said if Pokemon were some type of online game where the fun was ruined for everyone. (Don't tell me about linking up)

Cheating is fine and dandy if you want out of your money. I don't know about buying a game just to Action Replay the hell out of it.

You didn't read what I wrote. I said that I can only recomend the game if you have completed it before. Then on small cases, if it is too hard for you.

I realize there is linking up, but that isn't a reasonable excuse. You're right NEXT to the person. And there is a max of 4 people that you need to be near. They can tell you straight up they don't want to play with you. Then elimniating the 'it ruins it for everyone' factor.

I'd bet you sharked them too >>;
Lovley false accusation. I played through the game with about 70 hours clocked on it. Reasonable set of pokemon. My lvls. were fine, no cheating. Then I put the the game in the closet, until my brother had told be about AR. I bought it used at EB games and then I was having a ball picking up all my games that I haven't touched in a while. Just playing around with them.

Me and you are on the same page as far as

A game's only good when you can actually play it XD
I agree, people should never buy a game then AR the hell out of it. That's a waste of money.

I think I covered everything you didn't understand.

ps why do you think ar puts those crappy pokemon pics on the front?! they're kind of a turn off...:dead:
