That’s one thing I miss about Spain. Their public transportation was very nice.

Some might disagree with me here but I like NYC's transit system. It's nice that you can get on a subway ride and quickly get from place to place on Manhattan, or ride the bus for shorter distance. There's practically no reason to need a car if you're only on Manhattan, IMO

I live in a large metropolitan city and there's only an option to take the bus

nevermind the fact that my state's previous governor turned down federal funding for high-speed rail almost 9 years ago as well
I live in a state that did take high speed rail funding and opted to abandon it because of cost overruns and other legal issues that had been mucking up the project from the get-go(like Environmental impact for starters). As a result, California gets to refund the Feds(which our Governor has said he won't do(largely because they've already spent it or diverted it to other areas which they weren't supposed to do but eh its Sacramento... sigh...), in which case he gets to spend more tax money defending California in Federal court from the Feds suing them for violating the terms of the agreement). If Newsom had a brain, he'd use the Tax surplus we have right now to refund the Feds(to get that legal issue out of the way) and then start paying down the State Debt(which includes High Speed Rail Bonds and the overall debt is getting near the point of no return with respect to paying it off. Nationally, we're getting to that point too).

My girlfriend lives in NYC, and she says the buses take forever, and you miss it you're screwed for a while.

Idk if that's always true, but that doesn't.... sound like fun.

Aside from that I think living in a city would be super cool.

I can't leave this spot that's empty without you
It's an area that no one else can fill
The night's never gonna be the same.

I’ve used the NYC subways in the past when I’ve visited and they’ve always been fairly convenient

i think for me the week has felt especially long because of the three day weekend. :( sorry work has sucked, though! hopefully tomorrow isn't as bad as you expect it to be.

i just have a long ride ahead the next week or so until a few things at work get sorted out. mainly finding another shift lead since one of mine is leaving and i don't have anyone ready to promote in that time.

hopefully my boss will help me figure out a solution to this tomorrow and it doesn't end in 'well figure it out you have 1.5 weeks' siiiiiigh

lol working Sundays should be illegal god

mostly coming from a public transportation standpoint since the bus schedule ends early on a Sunday, and businesses oftentimes have weird Sunday hours so there's not really much to do zzz

there's literally only one but she's uh... pregnant so she would only be a temporary solution at best and we're trying to find a more long-term solution. hoping one of the apps that my mum is going to give me tomorrow will be someone good that i can hire and get moving a s a p. and then there's also the search for a second sandwich person, a new opener and just... ugh. doesn't help that he cut his notice a week short so his last day is this upcoming sunday which gives us no time to find someone thanks dude appreciate it.

... it's just a lot of everything happening at once and it's exhausting me so much haha. there's more but i don't want to bring this place down even more so

so how about instead we mention how i keep changing my flair little by little and i hope i'm improving it and not making it worse lmaoo.

Transport in my area of NYC were good too, though it's still much smarter to own a car where I lived (Staten Island) than travel by transport. People assume all of NYC is easy to get around via subway/train and it'd be dumb to own a car but that only applies to Manhattan and some parts of Brooklyn and Queens aha. Many parts of the boroughs really benefit from driving.
