Well, I've thought about that many people like to write in their own font, color etc. and it's sometimes irretating to type it or ctrl+c then ctrl+v it. SO can't you make a script that gives you the choice, in your profile, to choose what color, font etc. you want the text to be?

The reason why it was turned down is because... Not everyone might have the font you're using. And then the color might now show up good on all layouts (go look at some of the members that post dark blue, look at them on like the MM layout). So that's why it was turned down before (and it might mess up like the glow hack does).

Wasn't there a hack that made it so everyone can choose the default format of their own posts? o_O I seem to recall something like that and it only being turned down because there were never any admins on with FTP access. XP I could be making this up, though. XD;

*shakes head in disbelief* Did nobody hear what I said last time?

If the font you're using isn't on the available choice of fonts for PC, then it won't be parsed. If the colours clash with other layouts, that doesn't change anything. I see people's colours clashing all the time. In addition to that, if the glow "hack" (which is actually a simple BB code added in the Admin CP) messes up, then why do we still have it?

Aye. Feel like I'm talking to a brick wall here. @[email protected];

and you probably will continue talking to a brick wall as nothing will probably be implimented now or in the future...

eh... even having just a select amount of fonts/colors to set as default would be good, I mean, you could always just support the default of default fonts in most supported os'es, even 3.11, XD. not like I post in a custom font set or anything but it would be nice to do once in a while without ctrl + v all the time...

freaking brick walls rule... *runs into brick wall*

I say no to different fonts and colors. I made a thread about that. Anyway, I use something called a Linux distribution. Linux distributions doesn't come pre-installed with some of the fonts that Windows has because of copyright issues. If someone chooses to use one of those fonts, I will get something that looks screwed up and unreadable. I also dislike colors because the color people choose is unreadable on some layouts. So making it easier doesn't make people who can't read the fonts any happier. :D -> :(

I do concur, but many people (including myself, up until recently) use font and colour tags to make their posts look more decorative anyway, so installing this hack would simply make it much easier for those people.

OTOH, a User CP option that allows you to strip certain tags whilst browsing would be nice. Hm

Would be no problem if you would use the fonts the WYSIWYG editor offsers anyway o.o
This signature has been disabled.
Height well exceeds 350px.
Please review and fix the issues by reading the signature rules.

You must edit it to meet the limits set by the rules before you may remove the [sig-reason] code from your signature. Removing this tag will re-enable it.

Do not remove the tag until you fix the issues in your signature. You may be infracted for removing this tag if you do not fix the specified issues. Do not use this tag for decoration purposes.

I don't need it, but I still think it would be useful.
And about the "some users don't have every font installed thingy":
The people who post in the font and color they like, won't stop it only just because we don't have this hack here.

Its a good idea, but I also think if you can't be bothered to change it eachtime, you must not be to bothered about it :P
But yeah it would be easier, but I don't think i've ever been to a forum that does it.
I do not have enough time for PC anymore, it is a sorry affair but I haven't been active in a long time. I do not have many friends still here at PC but if you are one that is still please feel free to contact me via msn.
