I picked up an SNES Super Scope at a yard sale this morning for $2, and it was mint condition except for the fact that it was missing instructions. I was able to figure out everything on my own except for the purpose of two of the buttons. Near the front handle there's a button labled Cursor, and on the on/off switch, there's a third option labeled Turbo. I'm hoping at least one of you here owns one and can explain this to me. I own a good amount of SNES accessories, but I've never gotten around to buying a SNES <_<;

I can't remember ever using Turbo, so it probably isn't necessary for a lot of things. The cursor button I think varies between games, so you'll probably know when you need to use it. I remember in Yoshi's Safari you used it to jump.

Also, be sure you ALWAYS ALWAYS remember to turn off the Super Scope when your done. That thing takes a LOT of batteries and you don't want to waste them. I learned that lesson time and time again in my younger days.

Ah, thanks, you've been quite helpful. Fortunately my Super Scope didn't have any batteries in it either--I think it may have been gently used. I was worried that it could have had corroded AA batteries in it. It certainly does take a lot of batteries--I know how much I hate to have to pay for more from my pre-SP days so I'll keep that in mind. I actually also have the NES satellite device (infrared wireless controller adapter) and it takes four (either C or 9-volt, I can't remember) batteries.

Fortunately I got the 6-game cartridge and Yoshi's Safari in the box with my Super Scope so I'll have something to test it on when I finally do get a SNES.
