I'm wanting to set of something of a "private webserver" that no-one can access from the outside. I'm wanting to do this so I can test different ideas without having to be online.

My question is, what do I need and how do I set it up?

I'm mainly wanting PHP, Perl, MySQL, the basics.

So... anyone know?

Edit: I'm wanting to set it up on my computer. The one I'm typing form right now.

Download XAMPP from http://www.apachefriends.org/download.php?xampp-win32-1.4.14-installer.exe and that installs Apache and PHP and some other stuff for you, alternatively go to www.apache.net and get Apache and then to www.php.net and get the Windows PHP binaries and install them. The other modules are the same, just grab them off their websites. If you have Linux they should come with the distro, but I'm just assuming you have Windows.

The Lite version doesn't have as much in the package, so it's quicker to download but they would work about the same (the full one has more features/modules I think)
