If someone was to ask you the exact effect of any ability, nature or move in Pokémon, would you be able to answer them? How much delved into the lore of the games are you really?

i used to be really good at this like back in gen III bc i would lug my ruby/sapphire guide book around with me. i still could probably tell you almost anything you need to know about those games and gen I and II to a lesser extent. i used to be pretty good w IV and V when i was replaying them a lot but my brain was older and less spongey than it was in gen III so i didn't retain all of that. probably couldn't tell you too much about gen VI and VII though rip. my hay day has come and gone.

Moves and Abilities, mostly, but I can never remember what specific Natures do.

I probably can still rattle off nigh-useless information about the generation 2 games. :V Heck, I remember a lot about what pokes and levels trainers have for a good while. And I don't even try, it's just... lodged in my brain. @[email protected]

Helps whenever I played the stadium 2 trivia quiz minigame against friends. :V

Oh gosh no. I know less than half of of what each nature boosts and decreases off the top of my head, and there are plenty of abilities that I don’t remember myself either haha. I consider myself well-versed in Pokémon, but not to this extent!

I watch a lot of competitive so describing most moves and abilities is pretty easy for me, even some more obscure ones that don't see a lot of usage (though to a lesser extent). Natures on the other hand, I only really know the most common ones (Timid, Adamant, etc.).

So I know a lot about these things, but I wouldn't call myself all-knowing. ^^
I don't talk much.

I fear I'd actually be really good at this. :c Not even because of an undying love for Pokemon but just because I tend to sponge-up stupid facts like this stuff.

I used to be really good at competitive battling stuff up until I stopped doing comp battling in Gen 5 so now I just kinda wing it for the most part. :c

But I do have a decent enough working knowledge of each generation and their lore which is enough for me.

I actually know a lot less about this than people think I do. Probably doesn't help that competitive was never my thing, so I never really needed to worry about all these things that don't make quite as much of a difference in a normal playthrough.

So out of curiosity, which generation(s) would you consider yourself an expert on? :o

I think I could an answer a fair amount, at least up until Pokemon Emerald and before.

Since we're just going by games then Gen 3 would probably be at the top of my list, but even then I wouldn't consider myself an expert.
