Does anyone here like to color? Do you think it's something more for kids still? If you do color, is it something that helps your mental well-being at times? I ask this third question because it's said that coloring can be very calming for some people.

I still love coloring, but I prefer ones where I can be creative. I also like the kids coloring books since adult ones pose a challenge for me. I'm not sure why that's even a thing either or why I struggle with them so much. I feel like there's times when it stresses me out because if I get the urge to color, I'll try to do so... and my mind is like "nope". :|

What about y'all?
I have this lovely app on my phone called Happy Color (it's American I'm guessing, since it spells the word incorrectly =P) and I use it daily! I find colouring helps keep my mind occupied when I can't be bothered or don't have time to do something else, and it's quite satisfying finishing pictures in its own way...as long as they're not excessively detailed and complicated. I could do without the ads and I will probably pay to remove them eventually, but if I didn't enjoy it I wouldn't have been doing it for so long. xD

Not overly fond of physical colouring, if only because I don't really have the time. A picture on Happy Color I can do in about 10 minutes. A colouring book would take me upwards of an hour probably...longer, because adult colouring books are often absurdly complex. It's supposed to relieve stress and relax the mind, not make me concentrate focusing on tiny areas D:

Not really? I only really color when I draw fanart. Other than that, it doesn't interest me anymore, I've honestly just grown out of coloring, I suppose.

I don't do it often, but I do own "coloring books for adults" and they are so satisfying?? So calming. Honestly, coloring is underrated. It might seem silly if you don't know about it, but it's a legit therapy method for relieving stress and anxiety.

I didn't enjoy colouring even as a kid, so no. That being said though, I enjoy it as part of the process of drawing something myself if you'll count that. No idea why I enjoy one but not the other since technically they're the same thing.

I love to sketch. There's nothing childish about it, art is a talent. My mother worked as an artist so she drew for a living, had MFAs in art, sold her work, was in art exhibits and won awards. I have a great admiration for art and it's makers, and I would love to be able to do it professionally. As it is I am happy with just my sketch pads and journals. I do indeeed color my doodles indeed with chalk pastels and colored pencils :)

I also paint faces on the dolls I custom make. I find these meticulous activities to be calming, a good way to spend to time, and deeply rewarding.

Yeah. I've heard about that a lot. That's what I meant that most say it provides stress relief and the like. I really need to think about doing more coloring where I'm in self-isolation and such. D:

I like coloring, when I draw something of my own but I'm not really a fan of coloring books honestly.

I used to be super into coloring especially on my phone but I haven’t in real life in a good while. Whenever I do color in real life I tend to do it with children’s coloring books cause I find the activities and coloring pages are easier to color.

That's how I am! The activities and pages are just so much easier. I'm horrible at concentrating, and I also get frustrated with adult ones because I make a mistake from not paying attention. D:

I have a Hatchinmals coloring book. I haven't colored many pages because for some reason, it requires a lot of concentration for me. Adult coloring books are ten times worse for me. I know i'm dumb.
Not really. I mean, it requires a lot for me too... even kids ones. I always have this problem where I start coloring, get bored of what I'm coloring and then flip through the coloring book for something different to color... it's a never ending process.

If anything, I prefer colouring my own drawings. That's not to say I dislike colouring books or sheets because I still enjoy filling them in if I get access to them.
