Happy Good Friday! Do you celebrate the Easter holiday? If so, what will you do this weekend?

My Easter holiday will be simple and at home, sharing Easter candy and plants with my family, giving thanks that we are safe and healthy, arranging flowers and baskets and having a bit of fun painting Easter eggs, and uploading them to holiday club here to hopefully spread the holiday spirit around. Happy Easter holidays from me to you.

nah

i dunno, my family doesn't really celebrate many holidays. when life hits you hard, that kind of becomes more and more of a luxury thing. so easter will be a regular day to me. and to be honest? i don't mind, i don't feel like i'm missing out on anything.

Usually we attend church on Good Friday as well as Easter Sunday, but with churches closed due to the pandemic, this Easter’s going to be quite different. My mother and I will be cooking somewhat of a fancier meal on Sunday and we’ll have our own celebration, just the two of us and we’ll probably FaceTime my sister and her boyfriend afterwards.

My baba and I used to paint Ukrainian Easter eggs growing up as well, which won’t be happening either as both my Baba and my Gedo are in self-isolation.

It’s a bit of a shame but the safety of my family and of the world as a whole in the midst of such a crisis is more important than tradition.

We don't really make a big deal of Easter. We celebrate it to an extent as a commercial holiday and eat white meat on Good Friday as a tradition for some reason even though none of us are religious at all.

I don't tbh. I mean, my mom usually likes to do a little special thing... but with the virus going around, she just gave me a basket with some easter candy in it from the store. Nothing special.

We usually go to church on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, but we had to settle for watching them stream tonight. My mom always gets me some type of Easter candy, but I doubt she's going to be able to get any right now.

I'm Jewish, so no, I don't celebrate Easter, but Passover.

I have nothing to say regarding Passover this year, though, it was mostly cancelled since I'm stuck at home, I couldn't go to my grandparent's house like we usually do this year.

My family doesn't really celebrate Easter anymore, since there are no children. So we don't color eggs or make pomlázka - a braided whip made from cloysterwillow twigs. We usually just bake these days - Easter lamb and sweet Easter bread.

Pictures for reference:

My parents host Easter for my family every year; this year obviously not but most likely will again next year.
