Main series Pokémon games have had two separate versions since the first generation, and most of us are probably very used to that and haven't thought of it being any other way.

But still: The two separate versions are always very similar with only a few smaller differences (version exclusives and legendaries being the two big things). Are you someone who enjoys the version differences and playing different versions with friends/family, or do you think those differences are not worth having two full-priced versions of essentially the same game?

Inspired by a video by popular YouTuber Jim Sterling, who covered this topic a few months ago!

Honestly, at this point in Pokemon's life, I just think Pokemon will always do two versions and just accept it. I've always been fine with there being two versions because it means I can play the game twice with different teams. Game Freak can take my money, it's fine.

Although, I do know Sun/Moon did something interesting w/their games. They made it so the games times are twelve hours different from one another. I liked that. The version exclusive concept is also making more recent games at least a little different from one another, ie: game exclusive characters. So, as long as Pokemon keeps on doing that, I think the two versions thing will still remain fine.

I think two versions are unnecesary specially since the differences are limited to only a few Pokémon. I don't think there's even a good reason to do this to begin with.

More money for them because sheeple will keep buying both versions anyway lol. I understand it from an economic standpoint.

It's all about about "promoting friendship and social activity by trading with others." which honestly needs to grow up in itself lol. We're not in the the time period 20 years ago we're majority are 8 years old anymore.
