Most of you are all hardcore PoStCoUnT MEANS NOTHING!1!1!111!1shift1!!!1!-ers, but, that leads to a bit of inconsistency with forum settings. If it really didn't mean anything, why are there forums where's it's disabled. Here are my conclusion:

1) People don't DESERVE posts there. Right of the bat it would be hyporcritical for most members. Admitting to this, would, in fact, mean post count means something.

2) It wasn't meaningful enough. Well...maybe it wasn't. But, if post count doesn't matter...WHO CARES?! Half the junk people post is just thoughtless spam anyways. That applies to the regular forums too.

3) Basically...it's allowed spam. This is really the only one that makes sense...but it really doesn't. FTiP is just about having fun... Can't really consider that spam. And the Fun and Games isn't spam either. It's just playing interactive forum games.

I can't find a good reason for the hypocritical-ish stance on post count. If it is really nothing...disable it. Otherwise stop shouting out how worthless it is, when in reality the forum is set up so that it does mean something.

People shouldn't get flamed for liking post count. Yet, when someone wants more, they're looked down upon and critized. :\

1: If post counts were turned off then a bunch of members won't be happy.

2: (This is not putting down SPPF is any way, just using SPPF since you got your post count turned off) I don't want PC to turn into an SPPF. Where they have no post count, I don't want to see that around PC.

3: The reason why Fun Time, Pokemon & Triva, and Fan Clubs doesn't have post counts in there is...
Fun Time/Pokemon & Triva: It's a game forum, most of the posts in there are sort of pointless, and not really talking about something (it's just games).
Fan Clubs: Most posts in there are like "How was your day today (name goes here)?". And posts like that are pointless, so that's why we turned off post count in them forums.

No need to run off and disable post counts in all forums, most forums on PC does have a point to them. It's not hypocritical or anything like that, it's just them forums are more spammy then others so they have their post counts turned off.

People have different opinions on post~count. :x Some people find it rewarding and such, while others care nothing for it. If post count were to be turned off, then a lot of people wouldnt be very happy about it. n___n;; Besides, its rather fun to see how many posts you have, no? :333 But thats just my 2 cents on everything. :P

The better question is, though, if post~count means nothing, why are you complaining about it? Or if it means nothing, why are you even bringing it up? :O Everyone gasp, now, quick! *gasps*

And thats basically where I'll leave off. XD Once again, its just my opinion. Oh yes, and I beg to differ about the games. While some games do help others gather information, other games are really quite pointless. :33; Dont hurt me.

N00bs interpret post-count as a sign of superiority, therefore many of them post deligerently to improve it, thinking in their warped little minds that they'll become popular. 99% of the time, these posts are in the 3 aforementioned forums, and are pointless crap, thinking that everyone else does this and such. Because of this, post-count is turned off here to tell these incomprehensible n00bs that post-count actually doesn't matter, so, theoretically, they should stop posting idiotic and down-right stupid and inconcievable posts.

The dictionary definition... well, sorta.

Sukoshi- I'm crusading against the "it means nothing". If I believed that, you're right, I wouldn't have brought it up.

Cat-Dog-Human-whatever [:P] ~ I count it for something. And I think that most n00bs find out how to get there post count up anyhow -.-; It's not just those forums that are used for spam. Fun and Games certainly isn't. And the Clubs is just a place to chat with friends about a central theme :/

Hehe. XD Did I forget to mention that those little questions was a joke and being unmentionably retarded at the moment? :3 I have a poor sense of sarcasm and humour, might I add? :D Carry on with your business now that I have pointed that out and was very off~topic. I'm sorry. u___u *twitches*

I don't care about post counts, okay lets face it, if it suddenly went, yes i'd be abit pissed of, but i'd get over it, although put it this way everyone does like there post count, theres no way of disagreeing there, people making all these huge threads "omg so and so reached 10k" or whatever, its made out to be this huge thing, and everyone congratulates them for reaching this all high and mighty post count.

I've thought at times, how much of a good thing it would be if we disabled it, but then again we would get all this n00bs attacking everyone with "wheres my post count gone blah blah blah" and Im sure a huge amount of the Mods or "higher members" would be pretty annoyed to.

I've seen many threads with users asking about there post count, and getting annoyed with theres for it not going up etc, and everyone flames them for saying so, this I think is really mean, because look at yourself you'd dislike it if it suddenly went.
Mods and "higher members" like to complain about people posting for there postcount, but they do it to, I think its mean and stupid to flame people for starting threads or even talking about it.

Okay, I admit it I like my post count, but no im not going to go hyperactive around the forum posting aload of crap to get it up one more notch, i'll post when I want, I don't think its fair to judge on post count, or to flame people for wanting it to go up higher, it shouldn't be made out to be this horrific thing to want to bad, its a goul to some users. Not all of them are just going to crap fill the forums so it goes up.

Im probley on about a whole completely other thing here, feel free to nag on at me.
I do not have enough time for PC anymore, it is a sorry affair but I haven't been active in a long time. I do not have many friends still here at PC but if you are one that is still please feel free to contact me via msn.

So you're suddenly calling the staff hypocrites, Pincushion?

Oh yes, thats what I said in my own words, I said that...really I did -rolls eyes-

Jesus crist whats up with twisting peoples words?

I just said that the Members and Staff both do like there post counts, and all complain about it for no aparent reason.

Not once did I say that the Staff are Hypocrites, I just said some of there choices in this matter are quite stupid.

It pretty much seemed that way to me. I'd understand how some of them are postcount-inclined yet don't admit it, but I really don't see a problem without the casual member saying things about their postcount.
-_- it seems to come up to me, that some (note the word some) moderators and "staff" feel the need to ignore other peoples opinions and just completely twist what a user has said. In my post I never went onto a rant about the staff, because yes I think the avarage of them are decent respectable people, who do there job well.
All I said is that the staff do the same as the "n00bs" when having a go at somone for wanting there post to get up, when Staff want that to.

P-o-s-t-c-o-u-n-t is what the thread is about.

Take others opinions in, don't just mock them.
I don't want to discuss this further.
