When I was about 11, my family went to Ibiza. It was at the end of August and the start of September. Our hotel was right enxt to the beach. One day, when we are chilling at the beach, we saw locals building a stage. We thought they will have some kind of party to celebrate the end of summer, but we didn't really care about it. That night, me and my dad went out to get some snacks to eat, because there was another Czech couple in the hotel and my parents befriended them and decided to hang out with them. The guy from the couple was a Pokémon fan, so that was a big plus. Anyway, we were on our way back to hotel, when we noticed a crowd on the beach. We went to check it up and were met with few friendly people inviting us to something. At the time neither me or my dad could speak Spanish that well, so we had no idea what will happen, but we stayed there. There were flames all over the beach, some crates were lying on the sand and some people were armed with fake swords and shields. Rest was holding tomatoes. We were both given some too and were told to wait. After about a minute a ships appeared at the horizon. Tons of viking ship were quickly approaching the beach. When they were just in range, everyone started throwing tomatoes at vikings and vikings fought back. Just in a few seconds, we found ourselves on the tomato battlefield. I'm pretty sure we are the only two Hussites who ever fought Vikings. But since the rest of our family was waiting for us, we only fought for few minutes, before getting out of the beach and back to the hotel. We were hit several times so our clothes looked really... interesting. My mom wasn't happy about it, but it was really great event.
Also, I found out about Gen III and IV and saw first Pokémon from Gen III (Kirlia and Jirachi) and Gen IV (Shieldon) on this vacation.
