Let's take those anti-vax folk for instance. One would think that it's these people who are the most motivated of them all to develop vaccine treatments that doesn't involve jabbing people with needles filled with god-knows-what ingredients. And yet, yelling from behind their computer monitors seems to be the ONLY thing they're good at from what I've gathered about these people. Little wonder why I have zero sympathy towards them...

I mean, yelling at people on the internet can be a lot more effective than you'd think. The anti-vax movement has done a lot of damage spreading misinformation that way.

That being said... I'm not entirely sure what you want to discuss?

Conspiracy theories exist because some people want a bogeyman to pin all the blame on for this or that incident, be it Coronavirus, 9/11 or even Epstein’s death.

The most common bogeyman they will choose are those in the rich wealthy elites such as Bill Gates or Hillary Clinton.

I just want to know why conspiracy theorists do what they do without ever lifting a finger against the 'enemies' they're supposedly fighting against.
It's just how they are. There's no logic with those types.
To be fair, it's there in the definition: they are conspiracy theorists, not activists. If they ever get the strength of having been in the right, it'll have been precisely because they were looking from the outside.

Plus... You can and are permitted to have a strong opinion on something, mouth it off to whoever is willing (or not) to listen to you, and make both founded calls and judgment calls based on what you know about the subject and that the subject "appears to be" when looked from the outside. I mean, for a conceptual base let's look at any sports fan. The most common complaint you'll ever get from them is "the coach is doing X wrong!" (in particular if X is a thing that is obviously being done wrong, eg.: the team is losing), and they can think they would toooootally do it better. But neither we nor them are going to seat them on the bench to do that work. It's not convenient for anyone.

Extrapolate that behaviour to an issue that has an even stronger feedback effect on public opinion, give that person more spare time to dedicate on the subject... bam. Instant conspiracy theorist.

Fun thing is, from a public safety perspective, we want those people to be mouthing off more or less randomly. We as a society get the benefit of some eyes being kept on issues of severity, or issues that should not be forgotten, but without the harm that could be derived from direct involvement if those people were actually activists. The instant you stop hearing that background noise of "but 9/11!!!!one", you know something has gone wrong and have to start to worry.

Yeah, if they really hate their guts that much, someone somewhere should already have formulated a plan to get rid of them already...
