How do you deal with the end of an era?

Are any of your favorite television series ending? Are you graduating from one school to the next soon? Are you excited or less excited than others over ushering in a brand new year in your life?

What do you experience when the end of an era greets you at your door? Are you the stoic type who understands that life goes on and doesn't make a BFD out of it? Or maybe, are you the sappy, hopeless romantic type whose heart sinks when one phase ends and another one begins? Are you instead the fearful type who's afraid of not knowing of what's to come, living comfortably in your current period in time? How do you tackle these changes?

i make sure to spend enough time to remember all the good and bad memories those eras gave me, like what i did when i graduated high school and college, and take note of what to bring to the next chapter and what to leave behind.

deep self reflection, if i were to boil it down to just a couple words, is how i cope with eras of my life ending. after that, it's all a matter of thank u, next.

It's usually a celebration, or just met with... not really caring too much. My 19th birthday just passed, and my parents were saying it was a big deal and I'm not a child anymore, but when I woke up the day of, I just felt the same, and kept telling myself I'm the same person. When I had my high school graduation, I had a dinner afterwards, got something as a gift from my parents, and then it slowly started to settle in over the next few months that I didn't have school anymore. It wasn't anything huge.

I tend to keep liking it until something else comes along to grab my attention. It can be sad though, I was upset when Buddyfight ended.
