So... I tried using Advance Text to change the dialogue in the Prof. Oak and Birch intros, and now they are completely psyducked. Could someone explain the nuances of that to me? And perhaps just give me a method to skip those intros altogether, and just name my character later? Like during an NPC interaction for example?

@PJHacker

Don't use AdvanceText, it's known to be a buggy tool. Instead, learn how to use Hex Maniac Advance and use that to change your texts that are not directly accesible by opening scripts.
