Millions of animals? Yeah right. A few might occasionally get cought in stuff like that, but most animals are good at moving away from cars and stuff. I'm a veggitarian because I love animals, and have seen what happens to them. I know vegitarianism can't stop suffering of animals, but it can reduce it.

On a side note, the members here seem to like hating vegitarinism
OMG! FireEmporer has a Signature! Ph33r it.

I'm right, you are wrong. Any questions? Didn't think so.

If you don't want animals to be killed, you might as well try to change the whole world. Make EVERYONE a vegetarian. It ain't gonna happen.

They're STILL gonna make burgers.

If someone is a vegetarian because they think there's too much rubbish in them after being processed, I'll say, that's reasonable.

But if you want to stop animals in being killed, not eating meat is not gonna help(much).

If i hade a choice to live a life on earth with eating nothing but helpless animals.
I wouldn't choose to live at all. :disappoin

That's just you. How about everyone else or almost everyone else in the world.

You not eating animals is probably insecurity.

See, we have to eat them, it's a 'circle of life.'

If we don't eat them, there will be too many of one kind and too few of another.

I think what that guy said in the website was pretty stupid.

First taking one side, then another. Nothing else to say about him.

OK, so now you're using that argument again.

Love watermelon, fruits, whatever, but why should we have moral standards for killing animals, and not for the cruel PLUCKING of fruits?

Animals were made to be eaten, just like fruits.

Nature? What nature has given us? And ANIMALS aren't part of it, then?

I have no relation to the animal.

If you heard that someone, one person, who wasn't related to you, someone you don't know at all, was murdered,
how would you feel?

Probably nothing.

Because there are so many murders, it doesn't mean anything to you anymore.

They're too many people who are murdered, how can you feel sad when they are?

You'd be sad EVERY day of your life.

I have two rabbits. I keep them.

If I ate A rabbit, I wouldn't feel bad, but if I ate MY rabbit, I would feel sad.

So when you say, an animal dying somewhere out in the world, how can I feel sad,
when I didn't even know it.

Animal meat has proteins and minerals that a human body needs in order to work well and that can't be found in sufficient quantities of other foods such as fruit. There's nothing wrong with killing an animal for food. Why? Humans are animals as well, animals kill other animals to live. We weren't the first to do so and we won't be the last. What does a bear eat? Fish, deer, meat of the sort, take that away and give it fruit and vegetables and I guarantee you the bear would die.

As long as the animals aren't killed for game there's nothing wrong with eating meat. Most animals are killed in very humane ways, so there's no problem there.

I totally agree with what Jorge just said. The animals won't all die because they'll just continue to reproduce. It's not like humans go around eating endagered species. Humans are meant to eat other animals... we're near the top of the food chain. Humans are omnivores... we eat both plants and animals in order to survive. The food chain exists to keep the balance of living things at equilibrium. That's just the way things are.
