I'm not sure if this goes here or not, and if it doesn't, I hope someone moves it for me ^^;
Anyways, as most of us have started school again, home coming is around the corner. For me, home coming is traditionally a time of avoiding everyone who gets into all of the events, and trying to avoid being asked to go. Of course, this year I had the luck of knowing a girl with "connections"
She's said she'd use them in order to make me Sophmore Prince. lol I'm afraid that she might actually do it, so I guess I'm gonna have to get ready for homecoming. lol

Anyways, I'd just like to know what all of you do for homecoming, or what you plan on doing. Or, are you like me, and always trying to avoid it? :D
Although she's never here,

I hate participating in homecoming, it's just money going to waste in my opinion...

But, it seems I got sucked into it. As part of the National Honor Society (and possibly Mr. NHS *shudders*), participation is mandatory. Money doesn't fall off trees for me, so I made it clear that I wasn't financially stable. So the Homecoming Committee is paying the expenses for me.

I never really thought of Homecoming as something special...it was just a day of school off and a parade.

Actually a homecoming is a sport's thing, there's usually just a dance that goes along with it.
Thank you Mihara for correcting me. I never knew that it was a sporty thing... I read a book where some characters went to a homecoming dance so I have always thought that it was just a dance... not something sporty.

What sport is it for?

I didn't go to my first homecoming. I could've gone, but I couldn't dance, so I decided to screw it up with the person I was interested in.That's what I'm gonna do. Sophmore Prince? Ha! I'm going to be an unparticipating Sophmore.

Depends, it's usually American Football, sometimes it's other sports as well. Most of the time the game will be first and then there'll be the dance/ball/whatever after.

I've only gone to two out of three Homecoming dances so far... and I don't plan on going this year either. I'm not a fan of school dances... and it's not like I ever have anyone to go with. <<; My friends all try to convince me to go, but I'm stubborn and don't go. It's not like I have fun getting dressed up just to stand around all night. O_o;

As for the football aspect of it... I can honestly say I have not gone to a single football game in the three years I've been in high school. XD And I don't think I'm going to go to any this year either~

I don't even know when my Homecoming thingy is anyway... I haven't started school yet this year. XD

Homecoming was just a big waste at my school...just introduce the court and then scream at the cheerleaders and drill team...not fun.

I've only gone to one Homecoming dance in High School, but two homecoming games. My school is such a bad school that two people got in a fight in the row in front of me while the Homecoming court was being announced...so rude and gangsta'...

I do, however, look forward to my college homecoming. There are a lot more hot girls here than in highschool... d-(^_^)-b

I've gone twice, except our homecoming is in February because we're a Basketball-worshipping school, not Football. It's not the most fun dance, but I usually do find at least one girl to dance with...I usually lurk in the shadows for most of the dance, though. I don't attend the game...couldn't care less about sports =p

I have only gone to homecoming once in my high school career and it was pretty good. I am not that big into dances, but homecoming is one of the better ones. You get to go to the football game and then the dance the next day. And then all that week there is alot of voting and activities. But probably it is 2nd to Prom...

I find homecoming fun! I have only been to 1 though (because of my age) and the only reason I went was because my friend was playing in the team and I wanted to encourage him because he was so nervous. But then when the dance started it seemed to be really cool but I barely knew people there and thank God I had my friend with me or else I wouldn't even dare to dance! ^_^

I avoid most things that have to do with "school spirit" and "being active in extra-caricular activities," because I'm just not that enthused.
The only dances I ever went to were the ones in middle school...and that's because my ex dragged me there with her.

I hate and love homecoming.

At my school the student council planes the dance and court junk. Well I student council president and errrr HOMECOMING IS SO STUPID!!!!

Sorry. It just when you celebrate homecoming it is fun. When you plan homecoming it sucks out loud. The idiot planners plan the homecoming game for the fourth week of school (3rd game) so we rushing to get things plan and done.

Homecoming people like at my school. Even I do but I hope our team will win one this year since it my graduation year.
