Dear staff of PC,

Today I came up with a brilliant idea. I don't know if you guys will think its a good suggestion or not but I think its worth my time to post about it.

My suggestion is that we create a club for the new members of PC where they can talk to fellow new members and slowly make new friends from this club.
This way new members will feel that they have some sort of involvement and it will be easier for them to make new friends since we all know how many members there are here and its easy to get lost in the large crowds here.
So this is basically our way of helping future new members settle in.

What do you guys think of my suggestion? ^^;

Kind regards,
Caroline

hmm..i'm not entirely sure if it's needed ^^;
There's the newbie hangout thread in New Users for that reason of getting to know new people, and from there they can always join clubs in MCG which are linked to in the New Users rule thread.
If someone wanted to they could also create a newbie club in 'other clubs' where people help out newbies with any questions etc :3

DCC seems to be mostly used by the older and more established members...

"One reason why mathematics enjoys special esteem, above all other sciences, is that its laws are absolutely certain and indisputable, while those of other sciences are to some extent debatable and in constant danger of being overthrown by newly discovered facts."
Albert Einstein

"What science can there be more noble, more excellent, more useful for men, more admirably high and demonstrative than mathematics."
Benjamin Franklin

"Mathematics, rightly viewed, possesses not only truth, but supreme beauty – a beauty cold and austere, like that of sculpture, without appeal to any part of our weaker nature, without the gorgeous trappings of paintings or music, yet sublimely pure and capable of a stern perfection such as only the greatest art can show."

ANNOY ME AT YOUR PERIL. I am becoming increasingly tired of the unmanly elitism and closed-mindedness of certain members who shall remain unnamed.
