Yeah, my n00bness is showing...but I've noticed that image tags stop working at random times for me; for example I'll post an image in a thread, see it, come back later, and the image will be gone, even though when I go to edit my post the image tags and image url are still there. Has anyone else noticed this, and does anyone know why? ..;

Try clearing your browser cache.
And if you use any ad-blockers, try turning them off.
Or just try refreshing the page.

If that doesn't help I have no idea! o.o
When images weren't showing up for me I just did that and it worked fine! XD

Well, it happened for me today, but the tags AND the url showed up in the post. I just got rid of them when I edited the post.

Maybe there's something wrong with the WYSIWUG editor, or simply the code, or the database.

I clear my cache regularly, and I have no adblockers installed...thanks though Marc =p The thing is, I know it happens to other people, because I've seen other people remark on their own images disappearing or not being able to see other peoples' images. It's kind of strange <<;

Hmm... tch, FireFox's done this ta me a couple of times... anyways it's a browser poblem, not a problem with tha forum... tch, it's done a few strange things ta me before, tch, like loadin' slowly or freezin' on load, tch, or not loadin' images like in yar case. I've cleared its cache too, tch, but somehow it did it again, with either tha same image or others... it may also have ta do with tha way my ZoneAlarm's ad-blocker was configured, tch, but I dunno... what browser are ya usin'? Well anyways, tch, if it's that annoying, just switch the internet browser. Oo;

I hate ta agree with that thing, tch, but it's true. PC DOES load faster on IE for me than it does on FF... tch, maybe vB optimized it for IE or something. Oo;

Also FF sometimes leaves th loading bar after fully loading tha page as if it would have more ta load... tch, happens ta me on pages with alot of posts. Oo;

I do happen to abide againced firefox due to what the program did to my brothers computer when it was first coming out.

As for the problem I found that it is possibly due to the Photo place you have your images at, once you say show picture or go to that place and come back it should most likly be back to a natural refresh on your server wether it be Ie, FF,DS or Net.

If that doesint work it possibly is out of my league to speek further o_o But I hope that helps.
Yeah I'm back.. And this sig is a WiP inspired by nicola's old one.

It certainly does sound as though the image's host simply went down. Or perhaps the browser timed out and stopped loading things before the page was completely downloaded. o_O I'm not sure; I'm not a tech person, obviously. *sweatdrop*

But, I can say that vBulletin likely was created mostly with Internet Explorer in mind because that browser has practically had total monopoly over the Internet for years up until recently, so it makes sense to ensure that the most users are happy with the way it works. =o I've never had this problem, nor noticed many others whilst using a browser other than Firefox, though, so I can't really say~

Well, I have nothing much to say anymore. But anyway, image hosts are usually online 24/7 nonstop, just look at Imageshack and Photobucket.

I'd still go with browser's at fault, and meh.. IE rocks PC better anyway.

When I used Opera, that kept happening, even though my options were set to display images. I just went into the options and pressed okay. *is now using FireFox*

I don't think you use Opera, though...

Well, I'm going with Opera. Nothing evil has happened recently here, except for that thing, I posted on my first posts in this thread. Oh well.

Well, yeah, they'll go down, but not likely, they have HUGE servers, and huge amounts of them too. And anyway, whatever else you said, I didn't get. All I got, that you'd get the tags shown as text instead of the image itself, so creating my problem, but the problem is that I'm not using FFox.
