Ermn, sonic X is done buy kids wb right?

Well, im wactching today, And its the sonic adventure series being done, The first part that confused me, was that the policeman , who were ready to shoot chaos 0 had guns ( kids wb edit them out ) , secondly, he said that he is going to kill him ( kids wb would change that )

Then sonic said " Crap ( now that would be edited ) and oh my god ( yes, the edits would be here to )

Now, lets turn our eyes to yugioh
When the guards are esscorting Triston and the others ( during the pegasus kingdom or something ) There guns are edited out * there pointing like idiots * same with then seto was going to jump out of the window ( they kept the scen of him putting his breifcase up buy his face )

Now...if they put this is sonic, why cant they put this in yugioh , i mean, come on!

Am i wrong with any information, or is this techicnlly all correct O_O i hate what kids wb have done with all anime these days >__<

And dont get me started on one piece O_O

I don't know about England but in USA, Sonic is on Fox, the only 4Kids products on Kids WB are Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh.

One big difference: Fox's censors are loose with their standards. Look at TMNT 2.0, they get away with a lot with their content. So obviously, this gives 4Kids a chance to not be so idiotic with the censors.

It's not the best, Lord no. But it's liveable. I'm not touching One Piece.

Kids WB, they're getting so idiotic, particularly with Pokemon: the cropping of episodes, the time cuts (a second or two every scene? Do we need the extra time for commericals that badly?), the badge case edit (I guess it's product placement but Haruka has the same symbol on her head.). Just for what? Sighs.

Yu-Gi-Oh, the content is more or less intact but the dialogue suffers. Although lately the recent episodes (The Joey/Mai II showdown had snappier banter than usual) have been better in quality. Although with all the two new episodes per Saturday with the finite episode order, it's painfully obvious that Kids WB is rushing through and just wants to be done with the series.

They're just getting more and more downright anal and bizarre. I personally wish Pokemon would move to Fox so I can leave this wretched network. One day.

But yeah, Kids WB's credibility has been shot for years. And the biggest anime killer there is.

And other things, they killed the old Toonami and yeah...

Don't get me started on the out of order episode rotation they got set up too.

Sighs. Headdesk.

Ah yes, Dark Wheezing's right. It's KidsWB that seems to have the gun problem... or something. It is awfully confusing, especially when you can't just ask/email someone at 4Kids' website.

Oy... One Piece... *head hurts* Goodness. Anyway, um, the thing you've just got to realize is: dubbed anime really stinks if the company that dubs it wants to put it on Saturday morning for children to watch.

I really don't see though what their problem is with violence on Yugioh. The Batman and Xaolin Showdown can have people getting punched and knocked out, but the Pharaoh getting punched on Yugioh? Nope. Edited out.

I just don't even care anymore. I find the original episodes, and then watch the dub and make fun of it with my brother. It's really quite funny then. ^-^

While 4Kids dubs the episodes, they do have edicts by Kids WB. In the case of Pokemon: the badge case? In Season Seven, all the countries that carried the Pokemon English dub but America didn't have the badge edit. So we were the only place that had it, eventually, 4Kids would correct this but the effect can't be denied.

So you can't say Kids WB wouldn't put pressure on 4Kids to have squeaky clean dubs. It's just as I say, Fox, is loose enough to have more context life in. It's just early on was more 4Kids (the finger thing), but the more they got into it, the more...idiotic it can be with Kids WB and their rewrite of scripts at times in Yu-Gi-Oh to undamage American kids' minds from Mai's cleverage, among other things like bombs (the Joey/Yugi II duel) and energy cuts.

Although the omitting of English the producers in the series go out of their way to put in, does make me question the dubbers' sanity at times.

TV edits are always done though. Voice and most content edits are done by the actual dubbers. The most Kids WB has ever taken out at a time I believe was a 14 second scene. Then again, I haven't watched Pokemon in a good while so I wouldn't know.

Again, Kids WB has no say of what happens to the script. All they have control over is the general content of the show. As usually you'll see some things on the DVDs that don't show up on TV...er, not usually, rarely actually, but it's there.

The English...well, I never thought 4Kids was a good company and they complain about this quarter's earnings being lower than last year...unneeded cuts like that are why.

Well, Pokemon's my prime example but when you get to Yu-Gi-Oh, it's far more obvious they'll cover it up and it's not as obvious that's 4Kids or Kids Wb responsible for it (Pokemon it is). Feels one and the same at times.

I think Kids Wb had an inkling about Yu-Gi-Oh before they bought the rights from 4Kids to release it, so obviously a helping hand can be noticed. As you said, content, I'm sure they had to overlook the series or enough to get a great impression.

I'm not letting 4Kids off the hook, as most of the edits I get and I know they're from 4Kids, but I do find them annoying on occasion and some I just raise my hands up in the air and wonder why. I'd split the difference, 85% of the edits is 4Kids, and 15% is Kids Wb. I have to believe that on seldom occasion, the licenser will supersede. It's not unprecedented.

And I didn't read on 4Kids' last quarter, so you got me there. Heh. Although...I do question 4Kids' judgement (the changing the Fox Box to 4Kids TV is quite the example) on occasion and the dropping the stock? Could be they're stretching themselves quite thin.

Wouldn't be the first time.

about the whole yugioh 2 times "they wanna get rid of it" thing, doesn't work like that...This is pretty much to get more people watching, and they have quite a bit of competition with Europe in the whole episodes thing...you may have noticed, dub eps were being "pirated" from Europe way before they hit America during the Duel City Finals arc.
and as if squeeky clean dubs would exist
Fox Kids >>>>>> 4Kids
4kids has been starting to get really sluggish for a while...IMO best dubs there = digimon

oh and one more thing...dare say ANYTHING about saying KidsWB screwing up CCS and i'll kill you XD it's all Nelvana...Nelvana >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>4kids

I disagree, remember the Yu-Gi-Oh movie? WB put a lot of money behind it and it tanked miserably. So I think the series' appeal is mixed to Kids WB. It's the fact that Yu-Gi-Oh's final season that has only 34 episodes left, and the season run so far going so speedy, tends to make me think a little different. Although now (with tomorrow) they're slowing down, so hopefully some dignity will show now, particularly at the end. As well it should: it did give Kids Wb some money at the beginning.

And yes, other countries do get them before we do. Including our own, dubbed for them. That is funny.

Cute bias with CCS. Hehe. No, Pokemon was quite fine when CCS was on the air, it didn't have the odd edits the Pokemon series is currently going through. So thus, all the blame is Nelvana. Although I can't say Kids Wb helped (with marketing and all).

you DO know that the yugioh movie was made in the US, not dubbed right?...XD
think that explains the horrible plot to ya? XD

i think it may be that yugioh starts to have those long duels going into the DOOM arc & KCGP, so they use the 2 ep series to get them done(miss one week, the secnd week is a new duel instead of going through the second part being confused)...anyways, the Pharoh's Memory Arc is next, so they can slow down a bit as opposed to the 2-part duels

I do, as the dubbers obviously made the movie themselves. Although I still view it as a dub extension. It was just a prolonged episode made by another crew really. Actually the movie was pretty good but yes, the dubbers aren't good writers. I'm speaking for that because I'm one.

But needless to say, WB put a shiny dime in it and the ticket returns obviously showed the public's true opinion. Hence given WB with franchises that don't seem to sell, God help them, and even if they're a hit, despite the public's opinions (I'm looking at you Batman Beyond) they'll cancel it anyway.

So in short: no one (particularly anime) wins with Kids WB.

But yes, now things should taper off now the madcap battle episodes are done. Although a hiatus (like March to April, over 6 weeks) isn't out of the question. Particularly as they do the cliffhangers...hoo boy. God help them.
