We have/had (depending on when you are reading this) a test in Science on the 19th of October. Here are some of the questions that are/might be on the test.

1. What is exocytosis?

2. What two main types of proteins exist in the plasma membrane?

3. What is the job of a carrier protein?

4. What happens to a plant cell when experiencing a hypotonic solution?

5. What is an enzymatic protein?

If you can find the answers to any of these.....

Exocytosis is the process of a biological cell releasing substances into the extracellular fluid (its environment). Exocytosis is the opposite of endocytosis. Vesicles that contain the substances to be released are transported to the plasma membrane and fuse with it.

im sorry i dont know the second one...i juat love science!

A carrier protein is a large molecule capable of stimulating its own immune response. Many different carrier proteins can be used for coupling with peptides to create an immunogen. The choice of which carrier to use is based on immunogenicity, solubility, and whether adequate conjugation with the carrier can be achieved. The two most commonly used carriers are keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH) and bovine serum albumin (BSA). Pierces KLH preparation is easily solubilized and does not precipitate before conjugation, which results in high conjugation efficiencies and better antibody responses

sorry, cant find the tfourth one!

The most varied and most highly specialized proteins are those with catalytic activity--the enzymes. Virtually all the chemical reactions of organic biomolecules in cells are catalyzed by enzymes. Many thousands of different enymes, each capable of catalyzing a different kind of chemical reaction, have been discovered in different organisms. Digestive enzymes hydrolyze the polymers in food.

you owe me for this one!
