This is the wrong forum. It goes in R/S/E.

I think what happened is that it has the internal battery run out. When you started the game did it say "the internal battery has run dry...blah blah", if so trade with FR/LG and it should be fine.

1. The internal battery controls the clock in the game, nothing else. It wouldn't cause data to be erased if it ran out.

2. You're confusing the battery with the Berry Glitch (R/S only), which can be fixed by linking up in a special way with FR/LG/E. When the internal battery runs dry, the actual clock battery in the game cart runs out, and you'll have to replace it.

With all that out of the way, your problem is common with fake games. Are your game carts black or grey? Sapphire should be an opaque blue, and Emerald a transparent green.

I have the same problem. My theory is that whenever you close your game take out your cartridge and keep it in a safe place. And thank god nothing has happened till now to my game! ;)

You're playing a the emulator version of the game right? This is a common problem among the ROMS....I have a solution for the problem if this is the case

Most of the times is the battery if you play with the console but if with the emulator is more a bug that emulator doesn't have that option. Not the rom the rom NEVER has a problem because is original Yo need a option in the emulator to use the save battery with 128 kb than the common 64 kb
