You have standard CBGross out (Meteor Mash/Earthquake/Rock Slide/Explosion) and your opponent switches Skarm into a Meteor Mash, taking 30% damage with a few percent Leftovers recover. Do you keep Metagross in and hope to get an attack boost, or do you just switch out to something that kill it quickly?

The first one. Skarm doesn't have much that could hurt Gross. But if I had a Magneton (which I currently don't) I would definetly use it to own skarm in this, no, ANY situation.

Only n00bs keep their meta in. Skarm is dead. Mixgross is cool IMO.

And WTF. Hoping to get a attack boost is playing with hax.

It depends on the situation. I voted No. 1, but only if the Meta has HP Fire or T-Punch. . Either way, for Meta it's gonna either get Roar/Whirlwind'd away or Skarmory is gonna lay spikes and then Rest, laughing at j00. I'd keep Metagross in only if it had T-Punch or HP Fire, as trying to have Meteor Mash or w/e getting an Attack boost is just asking for somebody to go lol.

It depends. If I have a spinner, then I usually risk keeping gross in vs. skarm, as skarm can't do **** to it, and doesn't really like taking that 30%-33% damage from CB MM. k, it'll roar it out if it gets an attack boost, but it will take a serious beating before that.

Read the first post; everybody will keep attacking with Thunderpunch or HP Fire.

I can't vote, as iirc, CBMetagross does 55-70% to skarm with explosion. Normally I'd switch as not to waste time (and possibly a good poke), but as I consider it, there's a couple of factors there to advance the thought process.

If you read my post more carefully, you'll see I said "IT DEPENDS ON THE SITUATION." If I must clarify, no, I would not keep Metagross in against Skarmory because I don't like the idea of it taking three hits from Meteor Mash, Laying three layers of spikes while getting Lefties recovery, then Resting/Roaring Meta out once things could get ugly for Skarm. The only spiker that isn't gonna pay for my keeping Meta in is Claydol, everything else will take Level 2-3 Spikes damage. There are "standard" CBGrosses that can work a lot like Mence in that they use Thunderpunch or HP Fire, because Gross has a good base special attack.

voted #3 because I can

Arcanine, what Pyrotechnix means is that if Metagross carries Thunderpunch, which is common nowadays, he'd keep Metagross in. If he doesn't have it, might as well switch, since Skarm will keep laying Spikes and then Rest before you kill it, so might as well not waste MM's PP

That, sir, is where you are wrong. Poll choices are 1: Yes, I'll keep Metagross in and hit with attacks (In this case, Meteor Mash) and Poll Choice 2: I will switch to a T-Bolter/Fire type for an easy kill. By Metagross having T-Punch/HP Fire, that makes it essentially #1 and #2 combined, although more No. 1. Thank you, and good day.

The problem is, according to this, they have just swapped in Skarm on your CB MM, meaning you can't switch to using T-punch. However, this is somewhat inaccurate as you could have easily predicted that your foe would switch in Skarm and T-punch it.

As for this poll goes, I wouldn't keep it in. Skarm can lay down 3 layers of Spikes, Roar/Rest, and you're screwed. And for the record, almost any Sp.Atker can force Skarm to switch.

Meh I don't usually keep it, but sometimes I get so pissed off, that I lower skarms hp, and the BOOM, sometimes it dies, sometimes it lives with like 10%, which I can kill later.

PS:only when I get really pissed off.

I say just Meteor Mash it. You will hit it on the switch and it will lay down 3 layers of spikes as you kill it. If it doesn't die u can kill it later.
