First off, if you have NO idea what's going on, check this link out. NOW.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/4517962.stm#

The fumes are so serious, 'round 2000 people have been evacuated. >__< And apparently, the explosions were also heard waay in Netherlands and France. In a 40 mile radius, houses shook as well. I'll post a few pictures right now.

Discuss, prepare, evacuate. Last two options apply if you're living in the UK right now.

Well I live in the UK. In London. Yeah, it is quite dangerous. I'll just have to be brave. The smog has settled in all ready.

wow that is scary I hope Signomi didnt feel it... But 20 tanks each holding 3 million gallons? wow, that is alot.... talk about law suits..... those people who caused it certainly are going to pay for it that is just horrible....and I hope the people are ok..... I mean thats like 60 million gallons of fuel.... but I do hope everyone is ok....the shock wave alone would of couse shake the ground of other countries but sometimes you cant feel shock waves but think how dangerous that is to the ozone layer...But digital mage, I think I know why you didnt feel it...Judging by your map, you are near an ocean, so that would mean the shock wave would have shorted out here i'll give you a demonstration: the black lines stand for shockwaves and arrows stand for ocean :

so I am think since you live near the ocean, you didnt feel it... the shock wave was cut off... it could be a possibility....

Agreed. The Ozone Layer is already bad as it is. The shockwave might cause a few huge waves. and really dangerous, plus imagine how horrific and damaging the explosion was.

Well I think whoever did it, better thank himself for messing up the ozone layer.well I found out the mystery of the bermuda triangle.... Gas pockets. at the bottom of the sea floor around that area, are holes where bubbles come out of... it could explain ship wrecks...
Let me explain..
When a ship is well moving and a earthquake occurs, the earth moves in the sea causing a gas pocket to erupt. when it does, if the ship is directly above it the force of the eruption for make a huge bubble, thus blowing up and causing to boat to break in half.

like this:

_____/ /______

_____/ /_______

the boat well sink. this also effects air planes too it thegas would go up into the air cause the meters to go hay wire... making wrong readings. this could be the answer to amelia airheart and flight 19.

SO we are already taking damage due to shockwaves and earthquakes.

So who ever caused that....better be happy for themselves for causing an explosion that would mess up our zone pretty badly. have you ever seen the core? it talks about that kinda stuff you know the ozone deteriating.

Me too. I just found out about it, it is caused by a huge amount of methane gas. Anyway, the UK incident has just been aired in the Philippines, they say that it was an Al Qaeda doing. I'm not quite sure though.

this kind of tragedy can cause a war... it could have been terrorism for all we know, that kind of tragedy is enough for goverments to start pointing fingers.

Maybe you're right. I also live with some downs to the North. But I'm sure people in other countries didn't hear it.

Ther thing is that petrol was owned by a private company so it's not our governments money being wasted.

well your correct but, the private company better have enough money because if people take them to court, its a win lose situation, them being the losers. Things like this dont go Un heard, the people will most likely take them to court, but about hearing in other countries, I dont think that is possible, feeling the shockwaves, now that is possible, Like a earthquake can happen in mexico, and people in california could feel it if it is big enough, a explosion like that, yeah it is highly possible they felt it in other countries. as in the picture above, that I drew in, the ocean could absorb the shockwave but the fish inside it could feel it possibly, and did you hear about the oil thing in florida? A huge bubble of methane gas blew up under it and basically sank the oil liner( I think they call them that)
anyways our ozone is taking more damage then we can imagine. If the ozone is destroyed, we'll be in trouble for sure

I think things have turned quiter now, but I'm not too sure about it. =P Lets home something like this doesn't happen again. Good thing is, there weren't any casualties in this incident.

Then again, I'm not sure about casualties either..
