I take it that it's a PS/2 keyboard with the round plug. I suggest a USB keyboard. As for the bent prong, I seriously doubt anything can be done that wouldn't destroy it.

I have to agree with Yame~TD, your keyboard is shot. Bending prongs back on computer equipment just does not work. Again, like TD said, get a USB Keyboard is your computer has spare USB plugs/slots open. Wish they would just stop producing stuff with PS/2 and whatever the mouses standard is, would save allota time and wasted equipment.

PS/2 for most mice as well, sadly.

However, there is a good reason for them making new PS/2 products. They're useful for using them on REALLY old machines. Well, unless you use Linux, then USB is fine.

That's why I said that PS/2 devices are still useful for older machines.

As for the USB port problem, there's a good solution. Buy a USB 2.0 PCI card. I can get a 4 port card for $20 at my local Wal-Mart, and probably cheaper from newegg or some other site.

My mom got a new keyboard, but when she got home, it worked o___O; I restarted it on accident when I meant to turn it off...and then it worked.

O______________________O;

Yeah...I still think we should use the new one. Thanks for your help, anyway, guys!

My grandma's laptop had about that many. According to my brothers anyway. :p I have yet to see it.
